TL;DR: Kid got severe food poisoning, will never come back. We had lunch here today after our Costco trip. Our toddler developed severe food poisoning symptoms: By 8 PM he had diarrhea, followed by severe vomiting at 10:30 PM. We have been frequent customers, but after this experience, we will never go back. Management needs to investigate their food safety protocols immediately. Here are the items my son ate: Pork & Crab Xiao Long Bao, Pork & Shrimp dumplings and Shrimp & Zucchini dumplings. I've only visited this location twice. Once a couple of years ago and again recently. The place is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. We went during lunch, and it was surprisingly slow. I hadn't returned before because I felt the selection wasn't great, but I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, the flavors were just as underwhelming as I remembered, even though I ordered different dishes this time. It was okay overall, but I probably won't be back. Solid chain across the board. We went here on Christmas Day which was pretty nice they're open. Came around 6 and didn't have to wait long for a table. The location has a decent amount of parking/tables. We had a lovely server who remembered the off menu item of fried rice, which we wanted to order anyway. He was very attentive but not overbearing or rushed us in any way. We got the fried rice (toddler enjoyed), beef pancake roll, pan fried Q bao (toddler also enjoyed), pork and shrimp potsticker, zha jiang mian noodles and banana bread dessert. The noodles were pretty disappointing because it was not really black bean saucy enough. The other dishes were solid. There was another server helping out and he was just super pushy and rushed us. When we paid for the check, I wanted to use my rewards but he charged my husband so quickly on the machine it got missed. They close at 9 but it was probably only 7 or so, not packed and people were still getting seated.. not sure why such a rush. It just put a sour taste in my mouth with him. read more

With Din Tai Fung as the gold standard, this place is disappointing. The steamed soup dumpling is ok to good but the dough is thicker than I like. The fried rice has a heavy soy sauce taste and is just a bit better than Panda Express. The potstickers were a bit undercooked and not crispy. The kale was good. The beef noodle was ok. The vegan vegetable dumplings were outstanding. And filling! Also loved the kale salad with sesame dressing. The sweet and sour cucumber dish was very cool in presentation but too greasy/oily for me. We've eaten at the DoughZone Issaquah location several times and have always had a great meal. We always order our standards: soup dumplings, cold sesame noodles, scallion pancakes, one of the buns (type varies) and also often DanDan noodles. We've also brought friends and family here a few times. Every once in a while they've run out of the soup dumplings, which is so disappointing because this is the main reason we come. This happened the last time we were there, and although we did find something else to order which was delicious, it wasn't quite the same without the soup dumplings. Staff is always nice, though sometimes they've forgotten to bring the ginger to add to the vinegar and soy sauce a couple of times when serving XZJ (soup dumplings). Also, even when it's been quiet, we've been required to sign in at the kiosk, which I don't really understand. Always a solid dining experience and we will definitely go back . read more

And I waiting for almost an hour, and I ask the waitress where is my noodle. She is kind not happy, and rude on me. My family has been coming to this restaurant for years. We love the clean space and simple ordering system. I love that you can add yourself to the waitlist in advance through Yelp. My sister usually takes care of ordering for us and all of it is always delicious. I love how savoury their dishes are and there's always a good ratio of meat to dough in their food. This is my favorite Dough Zone restaurant. I have been to other Dough Zone locations, but those places are not as good as this Issaquah location for many reasons. This location is close to I-90, so easy access from the high way. The parking lot is usually full, but there is an additional parking lot behind the building, which is normally empty. Compared with other locations, this place is generally easier to get in without waiting for too long. The quality of this place is more consistent than other locations. The staff is friendly in general. It's also quick to get my order. The seating is spacious, so I don't need to hear others' conversations. The food is delicious, and its quality is generally consistent. Other locations do have issues with food quality consistency. A few things that made me only give 4 stars: 1. The restrooms are not clean. It seems that they don't send people to maintain regularly. 2. Once you finish every plate on the table, they will bring the check to rush you pay. This happened a few times where there were still many tables available and there was nobody waiting. In order to stay longer to chat with friends, I normally have to order more drinks or snacks. But then they will bring the updated check once the additional order came to the table. 3. They sometimes have new items that are not listed on the order sheet, so we will have to order verbally instead of writing down on the sheet. (They give me an order sheet for us to pick up what we want and the servants will come to confirm.) Sometimes the servants forget if they didn't write it down immediately. read more

Had an enjoyable lunch here. It's much cheaper than Din Tang Fung and in my opinion, more flavorful. My favorite was the pork soup dumplings. Of course, you have to get some cucumber! I just wish they had the green beans like Din Tang Fung and the fried rice / chow mein. However, still good and definitely worth checking out. Service is prompt and friendly. Food was ok, but their cucumber doesn't taste the same. I've been to other locations in Bellevue and Renton. The customer service is very different or maybe it's just how Issaquah customer service is. We came during lunch hour which was not too busy, only had about 6 tables including ours. I noticed they catered more towards white people and not once did the server check on us, only to take our order. My husband decided to pay up front as we left. Not my favorite location. Service was rather slow. The beef wrap had romaine lettuce as the only veggie, which is not what I'm used to at the other locations unless this has changed recently. We asked for a little more soup in the beef noodle soup but was told it's suppose to come with minimal soup. Strange...my friend then asked in Chinese and they brought a little more out. Super affordable and authentic Chinese food. Depending on how adventurous you are, they always have something for you. If you feel adventurous, try out their pig ears, which is flavorful and thoughtfully prepared (super thin slices. And the cartilage ). If you feel like having something classic, they have the pan fried steamed buns and potstickers. For those who like it spicy, the spicy braised beef is for you. My favorites are Jianbing Guozi and braised beef pancakes. I hope they make Jianbing Guozi a regular on the menu. Service is decent. Quick and effective. Food is always served super quickly as well It can get loud inside of the restaurant since there can be a lot of families with kids. But shouldn't be hard to carry out a conversation or having trouble hearing each other. I've brought multiple friends to this place and they all enjoyed it. My family and I are huge Dough Zone fans. We typically order takeout, but have dined in a few times as well. Their ordering system is really efficient and the food always comes out quickly, even during lunch and dinner rushes. My favorite dishes are the Dan Dan Noodles, Sweet and Sour Cucumber, and Shrimp and Zucchini Dumplings. Everything is always flavorful and seasoned well. This is a great spot for vegetarians too since they have a ton of great vegetarian options on the menu. Will keep coming back whenever I want delicious and affordable Chinese comfort food! read more

The nicest person I spoke with actually the only words said to me, was the person that brought the food to the table . I tried waving down two employees for ginger never got it. I had an empty water glass, empty beer glass. Nobody ever asked me if I would like a refill. I even stacked the glasses to be that obnoxious customer to get their attention. That didn't work. I waited a very long time after my food was finished for a check while one of the servers was having a conversation with another server, for several minutes in front of me. I finally said screw it got up(that got her attention) and walked to the front counter. I told her I would pay right there . She looked a little pissed off that I only gave her a 10% tip. I don't think she even deserves that the only person that does is the cooks and the person who brought out the food. Really nice fresh tasty dumplings and cheaper as compared to Din Tai Fung. We ordered the pan friend chicken dumplings, steamed chicken potstickers, shrimp zucchini potstickers, onion chive pan cake, beef cakes, dumplings with chili sauce, dan dan noodles, cucumber side (delish), spicy ma la noodles and it all tasted amazing! Dan dan noodles and the chili sauce dumplings are amaze and so are the pan fried dumplings. I like their hot oolong or jasmine tea but its a huge pot and can be shared for sure. The place is huge and they have very few tables to accommodate large groups. Finally we were all shocked when the bill was here and it was so reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. For the amount of items we ordered this place is 10/10 value for money..7/10 for choice of food items (they do have limited options as compared to din tai fung) 6/10 for service (hence reduced a star) - a lot of our items had to be asked for multiple times and it was chaotic as they kept getting our food with some error. Would really like them to have a few dessert dumplings (chocolate) to this place! The food is super tasty! This is my replacement for Din Tai Fung without drilling a hole in my pocket. read more

Things are off here. The Siew Long bao skin is a little hard and doughy. All four baskets are the same. Beef noodle is a little saltier. Everything was fine until paying! Sat right away it was not busy, it's a family oriented place, obviously because kids usually love noodles of any kind! We basically ordered one of everything intending take home! All of it was good. Paying was a hassle, they took gift card we got from Costco and with another visa they tried taking the tip with it as well saying it was just a penny but it was 8 dollars! We had a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. We came for Christmas dinner . We had two orders of each of the soup dumplings everyone loved them. The cucumber with sweet and sour was great. One of my kids was not a fan. The broccoli was great. We also had the beef noodle soup that was flavorful and the meat so tender. It is in a busy strip mall though so parking nearby was hard to find. That said, we ordered and our food came out quickly. We got the usual scallion pancake, which was supurb. Then the xiao long bao was great as well, very thin skin, which I love! The pork wontons in chili sauce had just the right amount of sauce and the five spice beef shank was unique for me.
