    Very full after eating

I love pizza ranch. The staff is always so friendly and the food is always fresh and good. I love cactus bread. Very filling. Best bang for your buck

This store is the WORST and DIRTIEST restaurant we have ever been to! After our visit we learned there has been multiple complaints about this restaurant and the lack of cleanliness. I'm not sure why the Eau Claire City / County Health Department hasn't closed down this business! We ate here on February 18, 2023 at 3:30 pm. The restaurant was dirty with most of the tables cluttered with dirty dishes and trash. There was no one cleaning tables, cleaning floors or cleaning the buffet area. The buffet was mostly empty and what was out had been sitting for quite some time. The food was cold and dried out, the pizza bar only had two types of pizza available and the dessert bar was empty and never was filled while we were there. The ice cream machine was broken and apparently has been broken for a long time. The men's bathroom was DISGUSTING as the toilet overflowed and no one attended to the mess other than putting a plastic wet floor sign. We have eaten at other Pizza Ranch restaurants in other cities and have always had an excellent visit. But, in this instance, we were shocked at the experience and vowed to NEVER return to patronize this restaurant!

We've been to several Pizza Ranch locations, but this was without a doubt the best of the bunch. Perhaps we were just lucky because we arrived a little after lunchtime. There was a manager running around keeping things moving, and he was literally all over the place, ranging from running the register to monitoring the buffet to clearing tables. He obviously didn't feel like he was above helping out to keep the place running smoothly. He came around twice to ask how things were, and even noticed when one of the kids was looking for something specific at the buffet, and ran back into the kitchen to accomodate, bringing it to the table when it was ready. Great service is something you often don't see at buffets, but this guy was clearly motivated, and he was making the difference between a merely good restaurant and a stellar experience.

Just finished at Pizza Ranchs lunch buffet for $9.99. The salad bar was nicer than others in Eau Claire, and it was cleaner than others. The fried chicken was full of flavor, but slightly over cooked. My husband said the pizza wasn't his favorite. He thinks the sauce was too plain. For the price of lunch, Id rather go elsewhere.

It's a great place for chicken. I love it there. The salad bar is pretty good. To bad they don't put biscuits out anymore

Great service with a unique, nice atmosphere; however, I'd agree with my wife who thought all the pizzas tasted pretty identical.

TLDR: creative cocktail and good menu with a Wisconsin twist…read more I brought my group of 8 family and friends here and everyone loved what they ordered! The menu features a lot of local Wisconsin produce and Wisconsin favorites with a twist, like Baked Cheese Curds (the tomato jam is SO GOOD) and Portobello Poppers with a wild rice and cheddar filling (it was so tasty I couldn't believe it was vegetarian!). Everyone really liked the Chicken Fried Rabbit (obviously, not our veg friend lol). The buttermilk-brined rabbit leg was so juicy and tender. The red cabbage slaw on the side was a perfect pairing. The Candied Pork Belly just melted in my mouth, no joke! And I love that it was seasoned with hoisin sauce and came with some baba ghanoush, which you'd think wouldn't go together--but it so does. For my main, I had the Grilled Ribeye and my bf had the Roasted Lamb. Both were cooked to perfection (medium rare) and both were phenomenal! The chimichurri on the side had some sweet kick to it but the steak didn't even need it bc it was plenty flavorful and tasty. The lamb was so tender and the mint gelee was *chef's kiss*. The Great Lakes Walleye was served on a nice tomato confit brodo and my bf's parents absolutely loved how imaginative it was. We all thought it'd just come out with a side of potatoes or something but the presentation blew us away AND they said it was very lovely. The kids loved their How 'Bout Them Apples pizza, which wouldn't have been my first choice (apples on pizza?!) but it did look tasty! For drinks, I ordered the Seamus (which is basically an old fashioned with Irish whiskey) and my partner ordered the Watermelon Mojito. I couldn't believe he liked the Seamus bc he usually hates old fashioneds but tbf it was a very well balanced cocktail! His Watermelon Mojito was refreshing and yummy (but a little too sweet for me). My bf and our friend both loved it tho! We'll definitely be back again the next time we pass thru Eau Claire!!

Huge thanks to the staff at The Informalist for accommodating a large group with short notice a few…read moreweeks back during our visit to Eau Claire. I think we had approximately 20 people and a couple joined last minute. I know this is not ideal for servers, but it worked out well and again, we so appreciate it! The Informalist was super convenient since many of us were staying at the Lismore Hotel. Since this restaurant is located in the lobby, it was just super easy and the menu has something for everyone. We ordered from both the pizza and regular dinner menu and many of us shared a bit of everything! The truffle fries may have been the biggest hit of all, so don't miss out on those! Pizza is fabulous too. We saw elote fries, a burger, caesar salad, steak and so many other things at our table. My favorite pizza was the Yellow Jacket, which includes red sauce, mozzarella, cheddar cheese, pepperoni, and spicy honey. My least favorite item was the salmon crudo, but the salmon entree was not bad. Ambiance is hip and trendy and feels a bit fancy, but we were all dressed casually. Interesting due to the name of the restaurant, but it works! If back in the area, I'd absolutely return. Enjoy!
