I haven't been to Mancino's in almost 10 years but I have been CRAVING it! I had the opportunity to swing through Eau Claire this week and made sure to stop in. Their new location is perfect for them! They have a nice open kitchen, updated seating space and a massive menu. Tap beers for $2.50 and AMAZING grinders, it is the best food I've had in a while. The pricing is also fantastic for the quality. I got my basic turkey sandwich as a half, and it was fresh and filling, and less than I'd spend at a competitor for something similar but not as good. Ordered takeout grinders for pick up and they indicated that it would be ready in about 10-15 minutes. When I went to pick them up they brought me my order promptly. The order included a whole veggie grinder and whole meatball grinder. Looking at the online order options, we had no idea how big the whole size was. We definitely did not need that much food, but there was enough for leftovers!! They are big (as shown in the picture). Food was good, but nothing really stood out for me. The space is very casual, open, and seems like it would be very kid friendly. I didn't dine-in, but observed from the time I spent picking up the order. There is also a parking lot. read more

These grinders are legit. I usually go for the hot ones. You don't need the full size unless you're sharing or have a monster appetite. I hear the pizza is good, but I love the grinders so much I never get a pizza. Counter service, eat in it take out: plus delivery. I think they have some beer but I'm usually on duty when I go, so I stick to the fountain soda. Decent sized space. Getting in can be confusing, no access from Hastings way or bracket ave. Went to Mancino's for the first time today, I have to say it was pretty okay. My mom and I got our food to go and once we got home, we opened our Grinders and the pizza we had gotten. Everyone's food, except for mine, was correct. I had gotten a cold sandwich, which was cold, but it didn't have any veggies on it. Had to add my own lettuce and tomato. Other than that the service was good and the restaurant was nice. Will be trying again in the future, hoping for a better experience! read more

My favorite grinder hub, everrr. 1/2 lumberjack no tomato is what I order every time and it never changes which is why I'll continue to give Mancinos my business! Time to update the details. This place is indeed open. Fast service and friendly staff. Definite dive vibe and appearance. Large open kitchen showing a lot of hustle bustle. But didn't actually see cooking, I think what I saw was assembly or staging. The dining area is very open and it appeared that there may have been a larger area around the corner. I was in and out much quicker than expected. Nothing nice or flashy, just functional. The sandwich (the full size) I chose was a French Dip. A classic that unless something really appealing catches my eye, is what I ALWAYS choose. Upon returning to my hotel just 7 minutes by Waze time, I am ready to bust in and feast. Looks massive. Looks are deceiving. The large French bread sandwich is sealed in a foil wrapping, upon inspection I see a flaccid and deflated toasted turd. If the meat inside this was in a loaf half this size, it would be a proper French Dip. Instead it's stretched across the soggy (toasted, remember, I drove 4.5 miles, 7 minutes, adding 2-3 walking from my Odyssey into hotel and to my room. 9.4 minutes. Tops.) steam softened bread. Weak. The au jus is at least pretty much as good as could be hoped for, and plenty of it. The meat has decent seasoning, but it's moistness is lacking, at least the au jus provides the solution to that let down. Considering I arrived absolutely famished, I'm really surprised I can't write that this is absolutely delicious! Would I write this place off? Maybe not. But the French Dip, the largest version ($15) isn't worth $7. I really think I would've been happier settling for the subway I didn't have to search and drive to find. That would've been as expected: pretty darn good for only $7-8. Adding that as a whole, I'm not a fan of Subway, when compared to JJ's or Milios or, rather especially Jersey Mike's, but JJ's was not close, and the others not in this zip code. read more

Happened upon Mancino's while traveling. Got off the freeway to grab a quick lunch at one of the fast food joints, but saw Mancino's and decided to give it a try. It was a pleasant surprise. Any time I am passing through Eau Claire, I have to go to Mancino's. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's attached to a weird Irish pub that's attached to a motel. All that exterior stuff doesn't matter. Let's focus on what's inside. There's pizza (I've never had it). There's spaghetti (also never had it). There's breadsticks (wouldn't know, never had it). What I do know is that there is an Italian grinder on their menu that is the singlemost best sandwich that I have ever eaten in my entire life. I spent a week visiting my dad who was in the hospital across the street and made my way over to Mancino's. The sandwiches were decent.... slightly better than the large Quizno's chain. Huge sandwiches and reasonably priced.... they were also very quick! Eau Claire has several decent places to eat, and this is one of them. read more

I can't speak for Mancino's dine in experience because I only started eating there during the pandemic. I LOVE that they have a takeout option that is so quick and easy that also allows me to stay safe. But that isn't the highlight, the food is of course the star! Our favorite pizza is the Tomato Roma and it is superb! the crust is the perfect combo of chewy and a bit crispy and the cheese, tomatoes, and spices all blend together beautifully. I also have to note that every single interaction I've ever had with a staff member has been STELLAR. I've been here at least 5 different occasions ordering french dip sandwiches to go, for the husband and I. Each time I have picked them up, they hand me three separate styrofoam containers, not placed in a bag. Each time I have had to ask for a bag, apologetically, explaining how I am worried about the au jus possibly spilling over. This is the worst restraint I have ever been to. The staff was rude and snotty. My friend had ordered a sandwich that they had cooked mayo on to!!! If you're chillin at the hospital and need some grub, I recommend grabbing a za. My grandma had surgery across the street. Everything went well, so my mom and I wandered to the nearest visible food joint now that our nerves were calm enough to stomach anything. The place looks like a Fazolis that ran out of money to decorate. The random pictures of wild animals are out of place. Its weird. Employees looked to be a bunch of high school and college students, and service was whatever. Nothing to write about. However the food was pretty decent. I didn't care much for the sausage that was on the pizza, but everything else was good. They don't skimp on the cheese (A+ Wisco behavior). I was feeling ravenous and we split a 16", after I thought the 12" would be too small. I ate my half of the pizza in one sitting, but I skipped dinner and am still full several hours later. Great friendly service and incredible food. Personally, I would say you cannot go wrong with any of their steak grinders. The only problem I've had with their food is that sometimes the bread can get soggy but for the most part everything is extremely fresh and you don't have to wait long to get your food. read more

Stop here with a group of friends on our way through town every year and have not once been disappointed. With our entire group we have tried a huge chunk of the menu and never have had a complaint. Mancin's is popular with college students, but it may be my favorite pizza place in Eau Claire. Affordable and delicious, the pizzas and grinders are made fresh. You're sure to find a favorite. It may take 10-15 minutes for them to prepare your food (depending on your order). So, I love calling ahead to pick up an Italian Grinder on my way home from work. Food was okay. Service was good. I tried their 'new' Southwestern Grinder with BBQ and green peppers and such. Fun little grinder but I didn't have wonderful dreams about it or anything. I also like saying 'grinder' and that's half the reason I ever come here to begin with. They even have a definition of what a 'grinder' is when you get in. It's tempting to ask for hoagies and grinders and navy beans but then I felt like they wouldn't understand or that it wouldn't be funny coming out of my mouth. My friends had the Chicken Ranch grinder and I liked theirs better. Atmosphere is definitely not present so I'd just pick up your grinder and leave. Not a Friday night hang out joint. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. Fast and curious service followed by what they call a Italian Grinder. The 6" hot sandwich was good. I did particularly like the bread.
