I recently visited Pizza Ranch in Galesburg, Illinois, and tried their gluten-free crust with a couple of different topping combinations. Service is atrocious! We had ordered pizza and chicken online on October 29 for 11 am pick up the following day October 30 at 11 am. But on October 30, the one who picked up the pizza had to wait for almost 1 hour. The not so friendly manager said they only saw the order at 11am of October 30. Stopped here for dinner after driving back from a family reunion. We got in right away and the place was averagely busy. The salad bar was decently stocked...the lettuce could have been a little fresher. The chicken was delicious as was the mashed potatoes and gravy. The biscuits were a little hard. The pizzas, on the other hand, could have used some work. My first trip to the buffet, there were only four pizzas to choose from. One of the pizzas that we got later had a half baked crust. I stuck to the cheese sticks. The dirty dishes didn't really get picked up too fast either. We ended up stacking them on an empty table nearby to make room on our own. read more

At check out we ordered and I asked for a pepperoni for the buffet. The worker said ok took our receipt and just wadded it up and threw it away. Didn't even ask us if we wanted it. 30 min later still waiting for pepperoni pizza. Not to mention almost every table was dirty and not cleaned up. We visited the Pizza ranch in Galesburg IL. We went on a Saturday. We noticed that the price for Seniors was over 15 dollars, while the price on weekdays was only for 11 dollars. As far as I know, Pizza Ranch was only serving the same food as during the weekday. So why the 4 dollars price increase? This to me was a form of price gouging. Shame on Pizza Ranch. read more

I would give 0 stars but you can't do that on here. I reserved the room from 12-5 for a party and one of the workers came in at 145 to tell us we have to be out by 2:30. I told her what we reserved for and she said not my problem, then we ordered the party pack only got 5 out of 10 cards and did it receive the ice cream. also had to chase workers down for cups and plates. so 0-10 would not recommend having a party there. read more

So so so good!! The chicken was amazing and the biscuits were the best I've had in a very long time. Of course the pizza was also good-the macaroni and cheese was my favorite along with the dessert pizza. It seems a bit expensive but it is a buffet so you can get your moneys worth. My first and last time ordering a pizza from this place while in Galesburg visiting family and I'll make sure my family never orders from here either. I'm not from Galesburg, I'm from San Francisco, CA and I'm only here to visit family. I Ordered my pizza at 6:56 and got it at 8:56, literally 3 minutes before they close. It was cold, the dough was tough, and it wasn't even close to being a large which I ordered. It was the size of a medium. I've had pizza delivered to me in 30 minutes in a city and it took 2 hours in a town where everything is literally a 10 minute drive at the most. $27 is too much money for this service. read more

Last month was my second visit the Pizza Ranch in Galesburg, and was just as impressed that time as the first. Friendly people and pays attention to the desires of their customers. You want a pizza that is not on the line, let them know and they will fix it for you, if they have the fixin's. You will get the first piece or two when it is ready. Chicken is hot and crispy. Salad stuff galore. And deserts, one could hurt themselves on them alone. If you leave the Pizza Ranch hungry, you have no one to blame but yourself. Walked in at 12:15pm and there was very little pizza, about 5 slices of different kinds, no chicken and very little pastas. Only having a half hour to eat I thought buffet was the way to go. We were there on Sept. 8. Our initial impression was horrible since the hostess definitely did not have the mostest good mood happening. My mom is 80 and has difficulty walking and she seemed to take the longest, most inconvenient way to seating us at a table as far away she could. The next bad impression was an employee barking at the buffet to move out of their way. Manners are not a top priority. Their customer service skills would score a 2, but the food was a 5. Chicken was hot, fresh, and delicious. The same can be said about the pizza. We all loved it and had no complaints there. We'll definitely be back. read more
