If you haven't visited Pizza Rosa, Run don't walk to check this place out. Pizza Rosa is located in Old Town G-Burg surrounded by HVAC suppliers and a basketball court. It's unassuming and almost hidden. There are no tables inside or out and if I were in the area, I honestly wouldn't know to look for grub there. But on a Sunday, we pre-ordered and picked up dinner. They've got an array of pasta and refrigerated foods/stuff to take home. Def an electric range of beers and wine as well. We ordered: Beet Salad- Fresh (no wilted greens here) and tasty with generous portions of arugula, bite size chunks of beets and thinly sliced radishes. The tagliatelle was perfectly al dente - amazing is all the words I can say. You can tell it's not box pasta. I devoured all of my pasta in 5 minutes (literally). Margherita and Black Truffle Pizza - (you could actually Taste the mushroom and smell the truffle - wowzers!). The pizzas were very good, the crust being a bit more on the doughy side than if you prefer Brooklyn or Neapolitan style pizzas. Hazelnut Chocolate Cake- I would love to say I enjoyed it but my little one devoured more than his fair share aka all of it. You could actually taste the hazelnuts and not just the ones on top. Service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Even for take-out and driving it home, the food still tasted delicious. We will def be back, thank you!

220 is a huge building that has a bunch of businesses inside. Pizza Rosa is the first one on the backside! The sign isn't huge or anything, but if you walk up you will see the logo on the window. When you step inside, you see a bunch of pastas (also theirs), vinegars, sauces... even beers & wines! But you don't see pizza... so you might be wondering where it is? But don't worry... once you're in there, you smell it! If you walk to the back you'll see a counter and even more products to buy! There is a stack of menus on the counter that has pizza and several other dishes. On recommendation, I decided to get the Fumo and the beet salad that had a homemade lemon poppyseed vinaigrette. The Fumo was meaty and spicy, and OH MY GOD I love their dough! You can definitely taste the quality in it. I can simply say it's a great pizza. It's not the heaviest either! The salad had mandarin oranges, goat cheese, beets and greens as the main part of it. My sister is vegan, and if not for the goat cheese, I would've recommended it to her. The beets were packaged separately -- I'd recommend doing that with the goat cheese for the vegans! My sister & fam also came to try the spot out with me, and my nieces LOVED their margherita pizza. The garlic knots and marinara were also delightful! The knots were the perfect bite-size, and were nice and light -- though not as garlicky as some others I've had! All in all, it was a delightful experience. Heads up -- there are NO chairs inside and there are no benches outside, so this is a to-go type of deal... but there are some tires at the business next door that I found myself comfortable sitting on. Go to Pizza Rosa, you won't regret it. And try out their pastas!

I've had pizza from Pizza Rosa twice this week! First time was through DoorDash. I got the Black Truffle Pizza and BBQ pork sandwich. The Truffle Oil smelled so good! Loved the pizza with the chewy bit light crust! I'm obsessed with the pizza dough! The combo of mushrooms, Truffle Oil and cheese was really yummy! The BBQ pork sandwich was huge! The roll that it came with was delish. Nice crusty exterior, a little chewy and flavourful. Held up to the BBQ sauce well! Second time, I called in my order and opted to go pickup! Got to see the shop as they are in the Open Hands spot. Got the Margherita pizza, garlic nots and beet salad. All yummy! Definitely going to be back cause there's more on the menu I want to try! The shrimp and pesto pizza sounds so good! Think it'll be my next one although I'm still thinking about that black Truffle! Note that they're on the backside of the building. There's plenty of parking. As it's a little shop, there are no tables for dining. They've got the Open Hands pasta, frozen food items and beer and wine. Makes for an easy one stop shop to pickup for dinner!

When I tell you I have found my favorite pizza place, you have to believe me. Pizza Rosa is pretty hidden. It took me a while to find it. It's a small shop that also sells handmade pasta as well. The owner was so nice and attentive. He told us they started off just making pasta but expanded to make pizza as well. The crust on the pizza is absolutely delicious. The pizza had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Overall so good!

Pizza is soo good and fresh! I ordered UberEats and they followed all of my customizations for my Gambino pizza (added basil, caramelized onions, & smoked mozzarella) extra pizza sauce on the side. I really love how they packaged my pizza for togo (A+). The pizza is on the expensive size for me but I will say it's worth it. Note: I ordered the stuff crust. I'm a lover of stuff crust and this wasn't it. However, the dough is good

You'll have to meander through Gaithersburg to find Pizza Rosa, but if you do, it'll be worth it! This time we got a large cheese pizza and a beet salad. The pizza was just as expected: cheesy, gooey and melty, atop mild tomato sauce and the fluffy, airy, perfectly chewy crust. The beet salad was packaged for delivery, but still satisfied with fresh, crisp ingredients and tasty firm beets. Make your way to Pizza Rosa and you won't be sorry, the pizza crust alone is worth the visit!

It's a straightforward, family-run place in Olde Town--nothing fancy about the setup, just a solid local spot that focuses on getting the food right. Their pizza is consistently good. The crust holds up, the cheese melts the way you want it to, and the sauce has actual flavor instead of just tasting like plain tomato. I've ordered a few different pies over time and they all come out the way you'd hope from a neighborhood pizza shop. The pasta dishes are generous and reliable too if you're in the mood for something other than a pie. It's the kind of place where you order takeout or swing by for a quick meal and don't overthink it. Service is friendly and no-nonsense, which fits the whole vibe. For a local pizza option that's dependable and doesn't try too hard, Freddy's does the job well. It's one of the spots I still recommend when someone asks where to get a solid pie nearby

The cheese did not slide off upon picking up (had the most mid pie at Modo Mio in Arlington) and the toppings were also pretty solid. We ordered three pizzas online, so all of the additional toppings, modifications, etc. were already entered and listed on the ticket. Ideally, your order is ready at the promised time, and it's right - this &pizza missed on both fronts. I'll note that we ordered at prime dinner time for pickup, so the shop was swamped, and I'll give them some grace for that, but that doesn't mean that corners should be cut or that accuracy should be sacrificed. Our pizzas were not ready at the promised time (we had about a 10-minute wait... nothing offensive, but I think them being behind led to the rushing and skimming of toppings). A word to the wise, if you're picking up an order at this Rio location, make sure you break the seal and open the box in-shop to make sure that your pizza order is correct... Don't rely on &pizza to get it right, unless you order in-person and supervise. We didn't open the boxes until we got home, and when we did, we found that half of the toppings (aka the finishes) were missing. Pickled red onions - missing. Arugula - missing. Banana peppers - missing. Goat cheese - missing. Dry cilantro - missing. The blend seasoning - missing. Parmesan-Romano - missing. Red pepper flakes - missing. Kalamata Olives - missing. Where is the training and attention to detail? At my previous visit to an &pizza shop (different location, during the lunch rush), they also forgot a few toppings on my pizza, so I was really looking forward to an accurate pizza this time... but nope, strike two. Moreover, when notifying &pizza of the poor execution, management gave us the, "Sorry to hear that, we'll try better next time!" Sorry to hear that you're sorry, but I won't be returning to this location. Based on the other event Yelp reviews, my experience is not unique. A lot of my local &pizza shop locations have already shut down, but it's easy to understand why based on my recent experiences. Quality and customer service have significantly declined over the years, and their value proposition has waffled. As for the half-made pizza, the crust was fine, the sauce was fine, the cheese was fine. The pizza filled the box (which has not always been the case in my &pizza history), so portion size was good. &pizza is good when they can get it right, but I was lacking the freshness and flavor. The finishes should've accomplished that, but we'll never know. Things were amiss... I'm over this &pizza.
