I have ordered from here far more often than I care to admit. (Honestly, it's a problem. Is there a rehab facility for people who need the pepperoni special to live? If not, happy to collaborate with funders to make it a thing). I digress...honestly planned on this being a four star review because ordering the pizza to go (while always delicious) is inconsistent on toppings. However...I actually went here tonight and ate in person, and the staff was so phenomenal I honestly can't take a star away from this place. They were incredibly cognizant about cleaning things, were highly attentive to customers, and had great senses of humor. Forgot to get the name of the manager who was working (adorable brunette girl), but she went above and beyond in the customer service department. My most recent visit was better than my first. I ordered the pepperoni special, buffalo chicken, and sausage and green peppers. The pepperoni special was 9/10, it was sweet and savory. The burrata and hot honey make a big difference. Buffalo chicken was a little dry but tasty. And the sausage and green peppers slice was better than the buffalo chicken since it wasn't as dry, and had solid flavor. My only knock is I had to order online in the store to get the three slice deal. They don't have it in store so it was kind of awkward to order it on my phone while being inside the store. The people working were super nice. The inside is pretty chill, with TVs playing sports and news, but they gotta empty their trashcan more often. Glad I checked them out again. read more

5.27.26 Placed a catering order through EZ Cater for a noon work meeting. We ordered eleven pizzas (pepperoni, cheese, margherita, pepper & sausage, and mushroom & onions) to serve 36 people. The driver arrived about 15 minutes early, so I let my colleagues know and we started lunch ahead of schedule to avoid the food getting cold. The flavors were solid overall, though several people noted the pizzas would have been better if they were hotter. One colleague also mentioned preferring more cheese and sauce. Of the varieties I tried--mushroom & onions, pepper & sausage, and margherita--the mushroom & onions was my favorite. The pizzas are very thin, and the slices are larger than what you typically see at other pizza spots. We ended up with about five full boxes leftover, so ordering quantity is something to keep in mind. One tip for catering: be sure to request extra plates or have some on hand, as we ran out. Overall, I enjoyed the pizzas, though I personally prefer a thicker crust with more sauce and cheese. I'd order again, but would likely opt to dine in so the pizza can be enjoyed fresh and hot. read more

My friend and I wanted to walk around Kentlands this past Saturday, and we enjoyed a quick and casual lunch at Andy's Pizza beforehand. Unlike other Andy's locations I've been to in Arlington and DC, this pizza parlor was much more spacious with lots of seating and screamed "peak suburbia." It also had a whole parking lot outside, which was very convenient. I got two slices to enjoy -- my go-to, Burrata Margherita (6), and one that the server said was his favorite, Mushroom & Onion (4.50). Sadly, not the best Andy's experience I've had. The pizza tasted a bit stale and lukewarm, not the hot and crispy I had expected. The server drizzled way too much olive oil on my slice, so I ended up dabbing some of it off. On the other hand, this was my first time trying the Mushroom & Onion, which was creamy and earthy. I would order it again. The perfect, casual spot for suburban Maryland families. Sadly, I did enjoy my slices more at the urban Andy's locations, but the trade-offs are cramped interiors and paid street parking. read more

This is my new go-to pizza spot. If you love thin, crispy, delicious pizza, this most definitely will be your spot. This is the kind of pizza place that you know anyone would love. The ambiance is fast casual - you walk in, order and pay, they give you a number, and you find your own seat. It is clean, open, and welcoming. Pizza is amazing. We got the burrata Margherita whole pizza to go. And since we got it to go, the person ringing us up, Soda, suggested we get the burrata on the side so that the pizza doesn't get soggy and we can add it on at home just before we start eating. HOW THOUGHTFUL! I appreciate the mindfulness. Soda was so friendly, and easy to talk to, and helpful throughout our pizza selection process. The pizza is thin and crispy, rich taste. The bread/crust was delicious too an not too bready/thick. We did have next day leftovers which made the crust impossible to bite through. I dined in with my family on a Friday evening. We ordered a white pizza and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders and fries were good but a little too breaded for my liking. The White pizza had a crispy crust but lacked flavor. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and walked around cleaning up tables or offering boxes when we were done. Yummm. First time ordering from here and we ate outside on the patio. It was fresh and tasty. The crust is thin yet light and crust which I love. I went to the grand opening. I try not to judge the service in my rating because it's usually chaotic, but I'll still share my experience at the bottom because it wasn't great. The pizza is the same delicious quality you find at other Andys pizza locations. I would wait until they have the kinks figured out before you order specials though, they weren't that good. I ended up getting pepperoni and the sausage pepperoni. My husband got the pepperoni special which wasn't the best, but they made it in a hurry, so we'll try again in a couple of months. This place is a great addition to the area and the inside had plenty of seating. It's going to be really great grabbing a pizza before going to see a movie. They also had two pizzas and a wine option which I think is perfect for a date. Grand opening experience: The line was out of the door which was expected, but it was mostly due to bottlenecks at the front which made it annoying. People ended leaving because there were times where the line didn't move for 15 minutes. We finally made it to the front and I was excited to be near the finish line. But then I was ignored for 15 minutes. It felt so long I decided to time it to make sure I got the actually time waiting right. I tried to get someone's attention but they just ignored me working on I think some online orders. Instead of one person doing an online order and one taking the line orders they had two people doing the online orders. Finally when I got my pizza I thought for sure this was it and I could finally pay and eat, but they put our pizza in someone else's pizza box. So then they had to take the pizza of someone else waiting and give it to us and that cycle continued for a while. Stopped in for a few slices around 7pm on a Thursday. Not much of a line but a lot of people sitting down eating. I think staff moves pretty quick, especially when ordering slices. They have a display case for what's available by the slice. Choose the slice, they throw it in a salamander, which is like a conveyer belt oven. Check out and pay while the slice is reheating. That whole process took less than 5 minutes. Went with a pepperoni and sausage and a slice of white. Both were good, very good. Pepperoni and sausage with the red sauce had a little bit to it, crust was nice and crispy. Clean tasting ingredients - I was pleased. The white may have been even better, hard to choose. Super garlicky, various types of cheese - it was awesome. I could definitely have crushed more than two slices but I feel satisfied. Honestly the price was very reasonable too. I'll be back for sure and look forward to trying some of the slices. If they display case for slices was fully stocked with more variety, we would be looking really, really good. read more

While they were busy, the wait time was only maybe 15 minutes tops and they got our pizza order correct. The pizza was fine but, to be fair, it wasn't hot by the time we got it home and chowed down. I appreciate that there wasn't too much cheese. I wouldn't say it was anything to write home about but it wasn't bad by any means. The only yummy thing is their Brussel sprouts. I ordered a large cheese pizza and I'm glad I opened my box for the price I'm paying I was about to go home with red sauce and crust. Barely any cheese?!? I didn't even ask for any special topping just a cheese pizza and I saw more red sauce than cheese. I also ordered buffalo wings and they were cold and not cooked all the way on another night. This location does not live up to the Bethesda one which is very generous and deff covers the red sauce for a regular cheese. Finally, a quality addition to the Kentlands. I've had Andy's in the fairly distant past. I'm talking far enough back that I can't remember the flavor profile. One bite into the pepperoni and sausage and it all came flooding back. It's an immediate pop of flavor that I'd say less than 10% of the pizza you will find in Moco has. This is not the typical floppy slices of the more ubiquitous local and national chains - including the one it replaced. This is quality that is only going to get better the longer the restaurant is in operation... you know, working out the grand opening bugs, kinks etc. Is it the best pizza you've ever had? No, but locally, it's in the conversation for a really good pie. Now you've got the price to contend with. Yeah, queue the "in this economy" rant. It's hard to justify the prices. A whole pie can run you about 40 dollars. A couple slices ran me $13. For that price, I'd settle for a $12-15 mid-tier, "get the job done" pie. Andy's sits in a tough spot. It's better than most of the rest, but not good enough to spring the premium every or even some of the time you have a hankering for pizza. I guess I'll suffice to say that if I'm in the Kentlands shopping area already, it's a major go. But if I'm at home, outside of the Kentlands, I'm not getting off my duff or breaking out my wallet for it. So, yeah, Andy's is good, but not "go out of your way", "part with $40" good.
