I had been there several years ago with the same friend for a hangover curing breakfast of biscuits and Italian sausage gravy, and I remembered how good that was. This time I went to try their house beers, and I was again very happy. The Brewery is a cozy little place tucked in a side street, and the interior is worn but clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and efficient, but I should note that it wasn't very busy at the time. In any event, our excellent beers never ran dry, and when we were ready to eat the service was quick. We started with some pickle dip (yum!). My buddy then ordered the black and blue burger - one of his favorites. It's actually a triple patty deal with some hot sausage in the mix. It was messy as hell, but he really enjoyed it. I went with the Buffalo mac-n-cheese. It was very tasty and had a nice kick from the spicy Buffalo chicken. Overall it was a nice experience, and I'll definitely be back. One word of caution though: The Brewery is moving across the street into the old post office building. I'm not sure exactly when this is planned, but I hear it will be soon. The new building is being gutted and refit with everything needed, and will include an outdoor area that can accommodate live music. I'm really happy that they are doing well enough to grow, and can't wait to check out the new place when it opens.

We saw several staff members during that time, which made it a bit confusing...we weren't sure if we were in the wrong section or if there was a different process we should have followed. Sadly, we did not have a chance to try anything. We ended up leaving without being served. I understand that things can get busy, but even a quick acknowledgment would have made a difference. Just sharing this in hopes it helps improve the experience for future customers.

You instantly feel welcome. It's a small place - only about 5 tables & 6 or so bar stools. Good ole fashioned diner breakfast food - egg dishes, a few bowl bfasts, pancakes, french toast, and a popular breakfast sandwich. My husband got the latter w/ sausage, egg, & thick American cheese on Mancini's bread - and enjoyed it. I got the "Home Fries Supreme" bowl with over easy eggs. It was good - not great - with a ton of potatoes, thick American cheese, grilled onion, and a lot of crumbled bacon. My sis-in-law got french toast and said it was good - but her usual order of pancakes and scrambled eggs is better. You can modify your order however you like, it seems. The wait staff is so friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves. The cook even popped out to take care of 2 of his favorite regulars who won't pass by, apparently, without their bacon (see the pic). We'll definitely be back, though probably when it's warmer --- cuz yowza is it cold when the door opens for people entering/exiting. This place could really use one of those exterior tent-door things that pop onto the outside of the door!

From the outside it was non-desript, but the inside revealed a sizeable taproom/restaurant setup with a decent sized bar to go along with it all. Though we did not eat here, we could see they had a nice sized menu and it was made to order. For beers we had each a lager and a dunkel, very good offerings that came in nice cone-shaped glassware - definitely out of the ordinary. Service was spot on and super friendly as we shared our experiences on the day and they genuinely were receptive to the whole discussion. Though it was a little hard to find, it was worth the effort and definitely worth a return trip...

It started in trying to go to the south side location but it was just a window, and I really wanted to experience the full outing so we doubled back to the strip and Larryville. Anyway - we sat down and were helped immediately by a very animated waitress with red hair? Place is very industrial - large signage and some tv's - kind of like a Buffalo Wild Wings. I ordered the double stack make your own with beef, regular bun, cheddar, bacon and burgher sauce. As my side I swapped for mac and cheese. The food came out fairly quick. The burger was VERY GOOD. Seasoned nicely, stacked high, and really just a solid burger. I added an extra side of the burgher sauce as well to dunk the burger in which was really good too. The macaroni was good - just wasn't hot. The cheese sauce was nice and flavorful, not bland at all Overall - I would come back here. And I would recommend.

Pittsburgh Sandwich Society runs a kitchen out of Strange Roots Experiential Ale which is a small locally-owned distillery. Once you enter, you'll scan a QR code to order online. Don't waste time like me waiting for a server lol. I ordered the In-An-Aht burger which features spring mix, their society sauce, American cheese and tomato. The burger was SO GOOD. All the ingredients had the perfect portions and came together beautifully. It was a perfect medium-well cook. The fries are hand cut and delicious. My only distaste was that fries were veryyyyy salty. +Customer service was amazing! +Limited Free Parking out front and in a nearby alley. +Plenty of tables for dine-in +Free boardgames to play +Beautiful patio with plenty seating I'm excited to return for the patio in the summer when I return to PA. They don't open until 4, but you can place orders online hours before then. Picked up food around 4:20. By time we got home, the fish maintained its crispness. I was actually quite impressed with how well it was prepared. Nice and flaky but didn't fall apart. The bun it comes on is well proportion with the fish. The only thing I could've went without, was the macaroni salad topped on the fish. However, the food here never disappoints. I'll be back.
