We tried the Tandoori paneer pizza and the Bombay garlic veggie pizza, both of which were ok flavor wise but be mindful when selecting the extra spicy option, as it can be quite intense and numb your tongue so much that you can taste the food anymore. Prices were reasonable, and portion sizes were generous-2 small pizzas were sufficient for 4 adults. Service was not top notch -for a pickup order placed online I had to wait 20 minutes at the restaurant beyond the estimated pickup time. Not a bad pizza spot, and it's become a popular option for when we have family visiting and they're craving something Indian. They have a family option which is closer to a 16' crust which easily fills up 4-5 people since the pizzas are pretty dense as well. So far we've had the regular vegetarian pizza, Bombay garlic, and Tikka masala and all have been good. Service is hit or miss, we've done takeout twice and when we come to pick up, either no one was at the counter for some time after we arrived or the pizza was not ready within the stated time so we had to wait. We haven't eaten inside the restaurant before so I can't speak to how service/ambiance inside really is. I stopped in here for a quick lunch and got the Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza Twist. The pizza was good and I enjoyed it. I ordered the 14 inch pizza which was more than enough to split between three people. The interior was nice and had a lot of seating. One issue I had was that I waited awhile for someone to show up at the register to take my order and again waited even longer at the counter when I needed to ask a question about the pizza. The restaurant was not busy, there was just no employee in the front. They were all in the back and there was no way to get ahold of them. I hope that in the future the restaurant might put in a way to get ahold of someone if they are in the back or ensure that there is always someone in the resturant area I recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want pizza that is different from a traditional order. read more

The crust is perfect, the sauce is unique and delicious as well as the toppings. I was pleasantly surprised by the collection of beers they had specifically Indian beers. Firstly, the cost for a medium pizza is 16.99$ which is not cheap, but definitely not too expensive. On their website and even on slice, there's always an offer coming up, so definitely check it out. On a Friday night, we decided to a pick up through Slice app. We ordered an Indian Garlic paneer pizza. On the app, please try and customize. I usually prefer thin crust pizzas, so did that and with medium sauce. The out come was so delicious. The pizza looked saucy but it wasn't, good amount of toppings and evenly distributed. You'll get hint of ginger too which adds more flavor. Plus if you drink then they have alcohol too. For a pizza place, it was really very clean, so you shouldn't hesitate to come and dine in too. We ordered the 2 pizza special which included one 2 topping pizza and one speciality pizza. The socialist pizza we got was butter chicken with all the options it comes with except Halal. The other one we ordered halal lamb and halal pepperoni. Both pizzas were very delicious and definitely had the twist. The ingredients tasted fresh and gourmet. The total for 2 pizzas and one Soda was $38.11 with coupon from the site but because of the taste and freshness of ingredients it was justifiable. By far the worst pizza I have had in NOVA or elsewhere. I got a small pizza with I believe a lamb meat topping which was extremely thin slices of lamb meat on the pizza. There wasn't much meat but the meat part actually tasted fine. The bread and cheese were really bad, the overall texture and taste of the cheese makes me believe it is the cheapest possible pizza cheese available. The bread was extremely tough and hard, and the sauce was too sweet. I couldnt eat more than a few bites before throwing out all the pizza. I believe the cheese, sauce, bread and meat that are used are the cheapest or close to the cheapest and lowest quality options available. I was surprised to see on their website they are apparently a national chain? I don't know if they have changed the formula or quality of ingredients in the last few months because I don't understand the highly rated reviews. There weren't any issues as far as service or ambiance. The cashier was nice enough. The food quality and taste was very poor, in my opinion. When you eat the pizza you can notice right away that the ingredient quality and texture is inferior to even the mainstream chains like dominos, pizza hut, papa johns, etc. The thing to keep in mind is even those places arent considered good quality food they are basically the fast food versions of pizza restaurants. read more

I got spicy (highest level is extra spicy). As someone who has a high spice tolerance it was yummy, had me sweating, and I know I will be regretting it tomorrow. But it was worth it. Flavors were amazing and they REALLY load up ur pizza. Even the small 10" pizza was quite a lot. My coworker liked her pizza but had the tikka masala pizza earlier and recommends that. Pros: the place has a good vibe and vibrancy to it; the colors, designs, walls, etc. were nice to read and look at. It has a modern feel to it. The pizza options were vast, too. The pizza itself was served hot (in temperature) - just the way we like it - and it was very flavorful; the manchurian pizza was spicy and we especially loved that. Cons: the prices were higher than expected. The service - at least from the young lady taking our order/serving us - was not good. She began friendly when we were deciding what to order, but after the order came and when we asked for chilly flakes and or ranch/other sauces, she visibly became unfriendly and almost uninterested. Simple requests as such as and asking for a plates etc. made us feel as if we were doing something wrong and requesting things out of the ordinary. Changes need to be made to the staff and or at least they should be taught how to work with customers. I was extremely surprised and amazed by Pizza Twist. I probably should've guessed from the name of this place that I was in for something new and creative, but somehow in my head I just thought this was a new pizza restaurant similar to MOD Pizza. I was wildly wrong. Pizza Twist is a great casual pizza restaurant that offers a number of traditional pizza options but also has a lot of unique pizza flavor/topping options that I've never seen anywhere else. Essentially they have fused Indian or Middle Eastern flavors/dishes with pizza and made something new and exciting. I love Indian food so when I saw what this menu looked like, I could hardly wait. One of my favorite Indian dishes is Palak Paneer (a creamed spinach dish with paneer cheese cubes). So when I saw that I could get a Palak Paneer pizza, I was immediately sold. I decided to go with a cauliflower crust because I have been watching my carb intake, but they offer regular crusts here as well in a number of size options. The pizza was everything I hoped for. It had the familiar hint of palak paneer in a more pizza-friendly texture and it also had all the familiar tastes and textures of pizza. Normally, I would eat half a pizza and save the rest for cold pizza the next morning (which is one of my favorite things)...but the pizza was so good, I ended up eating it in one night (dinner + late dinner). On top of the pizza, this place also has other options. Being a foodie and wanting to try more of the restaurant, I decided to also order a small order of 6 wings. Like the pizza, the restaurant offers a lot of different flavors for the wings including Indian and Middle Eastern inspired flavors. I went with Mango Habanero simply because that is my usual favorite wing flavor, but next time I visit here, I will try one of the more fusion-inspired flavors. The wings were great, I could've made a meal out of just them alone if I didn't already have great pizza. All in all, I loved this place and can't wait until the next time I'm in the mood for pizza to try more flavors. If I could post a less than 1-star review, I would. We placed an order for two pizzas. One was correct, one was entirely incorrect with ZERO instructions followed. When contacting Slice, the online order provider, they contacted the restaurant and the person at the restaurant refused to process a partial order refund for the incorrect pizza and stated to Slice, "this is how we make the pizza". Despite providing Slice with photos of the incorrect pizza, as well as a photo of a pizza from a previous order, clearly showing that it was prepared wrong, PizzaTwist refused to acknowledge any wrong doing and would not process a refund. At this time, we are contacting our credit card company to dispute the charge, and will no longer do business with PizzaTwist as they clearly have zero regard for customer service. Additionally, given the lack of support provided by Slice, we will cease doing business with this company as well. read more

I have a couple of thoughts, here. My opinion of the pizza, first of all. This was simply one of the best pizzas that I have ever had. I lived in Chicago for a number of years, and I really loved the deep dish pizzas that I was getting there. This beats any of those, handily. A very good product. One of the best, ever. But, I have to comment about the service which was terrible. Placing the order online, I was told that the delivery time would be about 45 minutes. This is pretty bad, but I was willing to wait. Unfortunately, it took 90 minutes, not 45 minutes, and I just consider that unacceptable service. To make matters worse, I communicated my displeasure to the store, and they NEVER EVER BOTHERED TO RESPOND. So, I can't in good conscience rate this as one star. So, I didn't. This pizza was so bad that I question the ratings and accuracy of Yelp. The pizza was ready when it said it would be. That's about the only positive I can say. We are from NY but we really aren't picky-my kids even enjoy dominos. However this is terrible pizza. This is basically bread with some sauce and cheese on it. The crust was soft and not crispy at all. The cheese was over cooked. The sauce was ok. It's edible but it's like edible but it's not pizza. We chose this place as it was one of the closest options to the Hyatt Regency Dulles but wish we went with Pizza Hut or Pupatellas only a little further away. This place is really expensive in my eyes, for the quality and amount, for the price. Thats is why I removed one star. For this price, you can get a better and bigger pizza from mellow mushroom, to be honest. Even Paradiso in DC, or Ciao Osteria in Centreville isn't this expensive, and I find those two to be the best pizza in the area.
