I will say this though, when my wife and I walked into this restaurant we already had the expectations that the food was going to be good. I said to my wife "With a last name like Napoli, how can you go wrong?" See this History is that I'm half Italian and that my Grandparents also had the last name of Napoli and so I knew this place was going to be great. So as we entered we were told to sit anywhere we like. After sitting down the waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We both told her that while we will put in our orders for the drinks, we also would like some Garlic Cheese Bread to eat as an appetizer until we decide to order our entrees. After a few minutes the best bread and marinara sauce came to our table and let me tell you that the bite wasn't just delicious it became a memory taking me back to the times when I used to eat this type of delicious food at my Grandparents' house. I knew right then this was going to be the Italian place that we would continue to visit every time we came to Vacaville. We both ordered the Raviolis and while we ate our bread and the marinara sauce, another order of bread came out but this time it was with our entrees. As we continue to enjoy the food, a few minutes later the waitress came with our entrees. Let me tell you, the only thing that lacked on this entree was more Marinara sauce but from the bite of the garlic cheese bread, to a bite of the raviolis everything was delicious. So grateful that we found an opportunity to find an authentic Italian restaurant. Can't wait to return and have the regular Spaghetti noodles or the Penne. The chef omitted the delicious balsamic glaze, it simply was not present. The chef used basil leaves that were days old, the little tomato was placed between two huge slices of mozzarella. Another small tomato placed under the other huge slice of cheese. I want to say, I noticed one manager type woman with glasses trying to handle & seat the incoming parties, she took my order immediately at the register, I waited 16 minutes for a sandwich that was prepared just however, with key ingredients left out, the customer was not even asked if they minded, customer was left to find out later at home, terrible service, shame on you Vacaville Mary's Pizza Shack. Not fair to give the consumer a delicious sandwich weeks ago, and then switch it up weeks later when a different person makes it , and no manager is in control of the food prep and quality.
