I'd want more of the mushrooms and greens though for the price of things. The tofu also were lightly fried with a thin starch on the outside which didn't travel well honestly. The chicken held up well though, still being crunchy. The seasoning was nice with bits of herbs shredded over it. In light of this, getting a sauce or flavor to dip things in would've been great though I don't remember if it was an option when I was originally ordering. The banchan was in a packed and worked well enough for the meal. Flavors still worked out well for the food, I'd be interested to see what the rest of the menu tastes like.

It is a lot of food, but we wiped out all of it among two adults and two young kids. The satays were SO GOOD! Hands down the best I've had in the USA, and on par with the best satay places I've had in Southeast Asia! Our favorites including both kids were beef and pork. So tender, so flavorful and delicious even without using the peanut sauce. We even got another two orders of each to take home! Seafood laksa was such a big portion with good amount of seafood. If you've had Singaporean or Malaysian laksa, this is different. Different in a good way since the owner chef is from Indonesia. The Hainanese chicken rice was tasty. Turmeric rice was different since I'm used to the ginger chicken rice, but the poached chicken was very well made. Under the chicken skin was a layer of gelatin which happens when the chicken is poached and then cool in a meticulous method. Together with the ginger scallion oil sauce, it was umami! Fried spring rolls were crispy and good flavor of meat and vegetables inside. Together with their house lime chili sauce, it was a party in the mouth! (Maybe it's a different variant of the dish, but I preferred the more coconut heavy broth flavor that I had over there.) I still enjoyed this dish overall though. I also tried the Hainanese Chicken. It really wasn't anything amazing, but this could be due to the dish being served with regular, white rice; they had run out of turmeric rice for the day. I also had the kumquat sparkling drink. The menu notes it's sour, but I didn't think it was overly so. It was still more sweet than sour in my opinion. I enjoyed the drink, and it tasted like they used real fruit rather than artificial syrups. I think the portions are a bit small, particularly in the case of the Hainanese Chicken, but it's nice that they served complimentary shrimp chips. Service came off as genuinely welcoming/friendly, even if we weren't checked on after the food came out.

My go-to ramen is the Black Garlic, and you can ask for the hot sauce on the side so you can add as much as you like depending on your spice level. Depending on the time of day, there may be a wait since it's a smaller, more intimate restaurant, but it's definitely worth it. The fish is always fresh, and the broth is so flavorful! Service is always so helpful--they consistently check in on you and offer great recommendations based on what you're craving.

Our server, Johnathan, was amazing, he was super friendly, attentive, courteous, and genuinely funny. You can tell he truly cares about the customers he is taking care of by the experience and the service he provides to them. I made a few modifications to my salad and he made sure everything still came out perfect. He was consistent with checking in at the right times, he kept our waters full, made sure we always had fresh bread, and every dish came out exactly right, at the right times.. Nothing felt rushed but we also never had to wait on anything. Great service really makes or breaks a meal, and he definitely made the whole experience stand out. We'll be hoping to sit in his section again next time. Thank you Johnathan for a great night.

With regard to atmosphere, they have maintained the environment they created when they transformed the old buffet into this more traditional Korean BBQ full service restaurant. When it comes to Bonchon, the kimchi this visit was delicious! We still had to request japchae, but at least this visit we had an idea we might have to do that. With regard to menu items, the Korean fried chicken is still really good, as are the spicy marinated meats, and the various shrimp options. The thin sliced ribeye, is still not my favorite. A note to those folks who have a little gray hair around the edges... Blue House offers a 20% discount to seniors on Tuesdays. Definitely a bonus!

My husband called to see if there had been a mistake, and we were told to drive back. Since our bánh mì was already cold, he asked if they could remake the entire order. When they did, the pho still had barely any more meat than before. When he questioned it, he was told it only looked like there was more once the broth was added. He then asked for a little extra noodles, and they tried to charge him. There was no apology, and the employee seemed annoyed. When he asked if they could offer anything for the inconvenience of making another trip, he simply said, "We don't do that." The biggest disappointment wasn't just the small portions--it was the customer service. We won't be returning.

We ordered the chicken chow mein, beef fried rice, walnut prawns, and salt and pepper wings -- everything was so delicious and not greasy at all! The service is incredible too. My daughter calls her "auntie," and she is the absolute sweetest. It always feels warm, welcoming, and like family when we come here. This place was the perfect rescue for Chinese New Year when you don't want to cook but still want something comforting and special. We've been coming here since I moved to the Solano area almost 7 years ago, and it continues to be one of our favorite places to eat. Always such a great experience -- thank you so much!
