Best NY style pizza around! Their Pizza Jerks location in Lake George is awesome too! The weekly pizza specials are fun--their pickle pizza is my daughter's favorite! The only downside are the delivery issues--a lot of the times they will use door dash delivery people who do not use pizza warmer delivery bags so oftentimes the pizza will arrive cold. read more

Stopped in for a bite of dinner recently. Got a pizza and some garlic knots. Nice dining room and reasonable prices. The pizza could've been hotter (I expect piping hot when I sit down somewhere) but that was the only strike against them. The pizza and knots were both excellent, flavorful and with great texture. Their sauce is a slightly sweet blend that doesn't overpower the cheese and tasty crust. It's a shame Pizza Works doesn't offer their Monday night All-You-Can-Eat slices and drink deal anymore. I saw a display case full of pizzas sitting there, getting old and cold with barely anyone touching them. It was $9 before the pandemic, but even if they raised the price to $11 or $12, it would be worth it. read more

Worst experience ever. Managers ego and wanting to argue and fight after promising a delivery and calling back after first one was an hour late. Then says we dont delivery that way. Very rude and a huge liar ​. He said 8d be refunded lied about that also. The one in burnt hills they treat you like family the one in ballston is gross they lie and attack you after promised orderds. They treat everyone like they can walk all over you hang up. And best us the fraud of not getting paid back. And it kills me he literally said "if our pizzas so good come and get it". I paid delivery fee first time. He makes it sound like its crap. read more

They place such a small amount of mozzarella cheese on the pizza you see the sauce through the cheese. Sauce taste like Dominos sauce. Prime example that anyone can serve pizza. This is one of my all time favorite pizza places. I've just recently started Yelp so I don't have any check-ins here but I can assure you I have been here many times. The thin crust pizza, the mozzarella sticks, everything is very tasty here. The inside is small, clean and usually pretty quiet. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you out no matter what. If you are dining in the food comes out really quick. However, my only negative about this place is the average delivery time. I understand they might be busy every time I order delivery(lol) but an hour for my pizza just about every time is just not cool. Speaking of cool, many times I've taken my pizza from the delivery guy and had my dad hold it while I sign for the pizza and afterwards my dad would turn to me and say the box isn't even warm...and it wasn't. The pizza was cold. But my ever love and desire for this amazing thin crust pizza will always win over slow delivery times. read more

delicious pizza. crust well with a crisp sauce and cheese perfect balance was heated up to the perfect temperature. so good ambiance was as good as the pizza service, i ordered from the counter and took a table. the girl was pleasant that served me, yet made several points of adjusting the tip bucket on the counter. which I so disagree with. read more

After our favorite vegan Pizzeria lost their lease, we've been craving our usual Italian dishes. Pizza Works hit it out of the park. Crust is on the thinner side (which I prefer), the sauce was perfect and whatever vegan cheese they used tasted great. The toppings were sliced thin enough so they actually cooked (I hate when I get big chunks of onions and peppers that are basically crudités). On a funny note, I asked for an eggplant parm hero. The person on the phone said "grinder"? I said "hero, grinder, sub, whatever you guys call it." When we picked it up, it looked more like a little eggplant pie in a bread bowl. We were surprised but took it that way. It was so awesome! I think it has converted me from heros. This will be my new go-to for vegan Italian. Hopefully they can start carrying some mock chicken etc. read more

First time at Pizza Works, we stopped on our way to NH. All of the pizza looked delicious, but looking over the menu I was intrigued by the "moons". A moon is a sesame seeded bun, approximately the size of a white paper plate. We both ordered the Italian moon and boy were we happy we did. Hard salami, pepperoni, capicola, lettuce, tomato, onion, provolone and house made sandwich dressing on a heated moon roll...out of this world!! It's a meal all by itself. I think we got pizza that was hours old. It definitely was not fresh. We bought a margarita and a buffalo chicken, and we all love pizza. My teenage son took one bite and made ramen instead. Great tasting food. We're always asked where we've gotten it from when we have people over. Also, the sandwiches (called moons, as they're served on large round rolls) are very good. The waitstaff and delivery can be a bit of a trial. We've ordered from them several times and find it's more conveinient to simply walk there to pick it up, rather than wait for the kid to deliver it. There also seems to be some turn over here, as we've had different kids waiting on us nearly everytime. read more

We ordered 3 pizzas and 2 orders of wings last night for Valentines Day last night with friends (I just had hand surgery so couldn't cook) I have to say that the pizzas were spot on I requested crispy crusts on all 3 since on several occasions the crusts are soggy this time they were perfect! A bunch of stoned out of their mind 13 year olds who messed up the order that I drove 40 minutes to get. They forgot 3/4 things that I ordered and gave me plain breaded buffalo wings. I had to go back 4 separate times to make sure I got everything. Please stay away from this place. read more

Came from out of town and saw the place was open. Asked if they were open and they could serve us and they said yes. The male cook then proceeds to go to the back of the kitchen and start yelling and swearing loudly that he 'already did the effing dishes' and begins slamming pots and pans around. Everyone was shocked. 10 minutes later we got our food and went back to our table where the cook then came out, went to the front door, and turned off all the lights in the restaurant while we were sitting. No communication was given like "We're locking up, sorry we're closed now", just complete darkness with zero comment. The male cook then walks back to the two female employees and starts to complain that their pizza place is open later than any other pizza place in the area and starts to swear again, again with all of us in the dark. He scared us so much we reported it to the Ballston Spa Police Department. We'll be following it up with a letter to the owner and the mayor. We were even afraid to eat the food he made he was so angry... read more

This is an Awesome place to go eat. I ate a snack below, but they have Beyond Awesome Pizza, great unique "Moon Sandwiches" that are big subs just in an oversized round roll (homemade). I ordered a 12 cut w/ mushrooms and a order of chic fingers n I was shocked @ the price 36 bucks. What really upset me the pizza was as thin as a card board. and the chic fingers were all bread n no chix. I get prices are higher . how ever dont skimp on the quality . it seems like they took a 8ct.pie n cut it into 12 slices, they were so little. super disappointed, now I wanna talk about the taste . the sauce on the pizza was ok the cheese was the best part of the whole pizza. Shoot. where do I start?! We ordered a 12 cut pizza, when we saw the pizza it looked like it was a 8 cut cut into a 12 cut. The pizza was so thin and in spots it snapped like a cracker! This was the pizza place to go and eat when I was a kid. This was the pizza to have delivered. The past few years when I've gotten pizza (both delivered at home and in the restraint) I can't believe it's even the same place. The pizza slices are the tiniest around. Compares me to Pizza Hut personal pan slices only a little longer. They used to be huge nice slices. I've also noticed the bigger he pie you buy the smaller the slices get to make the amount of slices they advertise- the pie size is not noticeably bigger. Shame. read more

We always go to the Pizza Works in Burnt Hills, but tried out the Ballston Spa location today bc it said online that the Burnt Hills location had a power outage. The staff at the Ballston Spa location was frazzled, and running behind. When my husband took the pizza and wings home, we discovered half the pizza was burned. The wings were also plain and not coated in hot sauce like we ordered. My husband called and complained. Apparently if you order extra crispy wings, they are left uncoated with sauce on the side. Pizza Works only have us one tiny container, Not enough to coat all 20 wings. When my husband called, the employee said there is a disclaimer online when you order that says extra crispy wings are left plain. This is NOT true because we double checked. All in all, we are faithful Burnt Hills Pizza Works patrons and have never had a problem there. But we will NOT be back to the Ballston Spa location. read more

Good pizza, consistently tasty with quality toppings. A bit pricey, although they often have coupons. Now, here's the rough part: Every employee I have ever seen working here seems to be between the ages of 16 and 19, at maximum. I assume the owner recruits at the high school. This may be great for his costs, but the service is always snotty, punkish, and just clueless as can be. I like the food, but the staff always makes me regret visiting. read more

I stopped by to pickup my order on the way through town. I felt the price was average for the size. BUT, I had no idea monday is "Slice Day" to pay $7-ish dollars and eat your heart out one slice at a time! Next monday it is ON ;-) Overall, pizza was tasty. Perfect NY style that was foldable, thin, and greasy (Can't say no to pepperoni on my -zza) The thin crust had just enough hold to feel confident that I could go at it single-handedly, and I found that I could eat more slices than usual because of it. Love the pizza if it get's to my house before it's too cold. I don't blame this on the chef, but mostly on the staff. Calling in an order is challenging. Often times it feels like I am talking to an empty line. I called to order boneless wings with medium sauce. I was delivered plain chicken tenders with a large cup of hot sauce. I had to toss the tenders myself to get close to what I wanted. Another time I called I asked for a buffalo chicken Stromboli... the buffalo chicken part was correct, but they put red sauce in it and a ton of ricotta? Other than that, if we order a pizza and some bone-in wings, Pizza Works does the job and delivers. So, my suggestion to the manager is to be a little more selective when hiring staff and make sure that orders going out make sense. If you do that, this would easily be a five star. read more
