    A side garden salad

I decided to pick this place because they had so much to offer on their menu . I also enjoyed how it was farm to table place as well. Everything tasted very fresh and homemade. The Pros: Homemade Freshness was on point Farm to table The Cons: No Bathrooms Only outdoor seating - I was hoping there was some type of seating inside. It was more or so a grab an go type of place. It was a bit expensive Sold out of the Nightgale homemade ice cream sandwichs - but it was listed everywhere that they had them made. The food was delicious but at least had some seating inside and maybe a bathroom outside to use . Since I was traveling far, I was more of so looking for a bathroom to use.

The Neighborhood Kitchen in Milton opened recently on Rowland St. This casual eatery and market is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving a variety of homemade dishes including breakfast sandwiches, light fare, salads, kettle soups, hot dogs, sandwiches with chips, pasta dishes, comfort entrees, sweets, and cooler drinks including Red Bull. The prices are moderate here. I placed an online order for lunch recently via Toast and ordered the Lunch Chicken Saltimbocca ($13 plus tax) and the Lunch Bourbon Meatloaf ($14 plus tax). My food was hot and ready when I arrived 30 minutes later. The lunch portions were just right as I slowly enjoyed both lunch entrees for dinner at my home. The Chicken Saltimbocca had a pan seared chicken breast topped with melted mozzarella cheese, prosciutto over capellini and spinach. The Little Bourbon Meatloaf was soft with good flavors with soft mashed potatoes and spinach. Both dishes were great choices and I would definitely try some other their other offerings here such as their gnocchi bolognese and pan seared salmon.

Neighborhood kitchen catered my son's wedding last night & the presentation & taste of all the food was absolutely perfect! Best charcuterie display I've ever seen. I literally couldn't stop eating cause all the food tasted so delicious. Absolutely loved the family style portions as well.

Their food is fresh and excellent. Much better quality than most of the local places.... however $9 for a skinny slice of pie is ridiculous

It's very new agey and different for the sake of being different. But, the pasta was delicious and high quality! The place has a major attitude problem, though. The aesthetics are off-putting and attract a crowd of the worst types of people. Had to listen to nothing but whiny spite and anger my entire meal from multiple groups of guests. The waiter was the worst aspect, though. I didn't even know he worked there when he approached me. He was dressed down more than a lot of homeless people I've seen. He also shared that same attitude of the guests and made my business feel like an inconvenience the entire time, having the nerve to expect a tip for bringing my food out to me, which I would have just done myself to avoid him. I can recommend carryout, if you absolutely have to have some pasta in this area, but not eating in, and don't get anything that seems weird on the menu. A total great experience!!…read more Welcomed upon arrival and seated promptly with a reservation (suggested). Welcoming decor and staff was friendly throughout visit. The food! Meatball appetizer, big and rich in flavor with meatballs not too soft or hard. Great with warm bread that was provided. Main course was beyond big and easily two meals on each platting. Chicken parm was tender and nicely seasoned with pasta side. I had a special of peppers and onions in a spicy red sauce with crumbled sausage and bucatini as the pasta. It was cooked well and had a nice warm spice, but not over powering heat, easily two meals. Drink prices were market priced with a wine $ 8.00 for a good pour. Server was personable and attentive throughout our visit. It would appear the kitchen is small and staffed accordingly. I hear they limit take out orders when very busy and best to call ahead for complete info on a weekend. Overall great experience and will visit again.

It's a big open room with a moderately sized and full-service bar. The food is well-made traditional Italian with generous portions. We've tried a lot of the menu and haven't been disappointed. The meatballs are great. The wait staff are attentive, conscientious and clearly care about your experience. This is a family place, but dress appropriately and only bring your kids if they're well behaved. This isn't a place for unruly toddlers or crying babies. Make a reservation a few days in advance and show up 15-20 minutes early. You'll be happy you did and happy you came here.

I ate here last week while in town for the Belmont, and frankly, I don't see why or how this place…read morehas the reputation it does, because it is not what I would consider a particularly high quality Italian restaurant. And FYI, I was in the food/hospitality business for more than 20 years, and I have also been to Italy and had genuine Italian cuisine. First, the pros: portion sizes are quite large, and priced reasonably for the size of them, and the main entree in itself was good; I had plenty left for dinner the following night. Service was decent but not exceptional. Cons: the pasta that came with my roasted eggplant was definitely not made in house, as I would expect from an Italian restaurant of this reputation, and was also quite overcooked, to the point of being almost mushy. And their supposedly famous marinara sauce was thin and rather watery--although some of that could be from the pasta not being well drained--, with no distinquishable flavor. But what for me was the final tip-off that this was not a quality Italian restaurant was when the waiter brought the requested parmesan cheese: it was your run-of-the-mill cheap stuff in a generic shaker, something they probably buy in large tubs. I would have expected the waiter to bring over a chunk of REAL parmesan-reggiano cheese, and grate it to order over the food. Frankly, I made a much better Italian meal for friends just a couple weeks prior to this.

Their old fashioned yet charming interior, has a relaxed vibe that has you looking forward to a good meal. Upon entering, I was immediately shown to a table by their friendly and welcoming staff. I enjoyed my warm crusty bread with herb butter as I looked over their menu. It was not an easy decision, as I was interested in many of their dishes. I decided on a meatball marinara appetizer and their lasagna which was made from their recipe that's over a 100 years old. Also ,their roasted eggplant with red pepper, ricotta, spinach and pesto and marinara baked with mozzarella over linguine. Their portions are generous and if I were really truthful, I did overindulge in another helping of bread. It's a necessary vehicle, to sop up good marinara sauce when the opportunity presents itself. I almost forgot to mention, that their house salad really hit the spot. My leftovers became an excellent lunch the next day. My only regret was that I didn't have room for dessert. This is a good excuse as any to go back there to try their other dishes all while making another attempt at having dessert!
