Alright, I had to do a review. This is now the second time. To begin I enjoy this place. I like their pizza. I cannot understand for the life of me how you cannot make an Italian sub. This is the second sub I ordered from here. Let me just say it seems like they despise making subs because it is horrible. I love Italian subs, and tonight was salami and cheese. Did you run out of the other meats? The lettuce was so old and rotten it was withered and horrid, mayo was dripping off this sub to lubricate I assume because the bread was so thick. Listen I know you all enjoy what you do, take pride in your subs like you do your pizza please. Because this was the worst sub I had in my life. Grabbed a chicken vodka parmesan hero from Pizzaro's as a takeaway order. The girl working the front was very nice but wasn't very knowledgeable about food (suggesting American cheese for a parmesan sandwich), luckily the pizza maker was right there and he was also very friendly and knew what I was asking for. Sandwich was in the ballpark of $10 and change. This was a really good sandwich for this area. I enjoyed the roll a lot (which is half the battle out here) and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The sauce had a nice touch of cream and butter with fresh basil and was truly delicious. I rated this very high on my list of local places to get a chicken vodka parmesan sandwich (I try them all over) and stand by that assessment. Okay, I know a pizza slice comes from a pre made pizza. It's like left over pizza. It has to be. I know additional toppings are cold and added on top of the leftover pizza. So, what can one expect from pizza by the slice. Maybe hot all the way through? That's tough to do. The left over pizza becomes crunchy and the toppings are still not hot. What's the solution? Order a whole pizza, eat 2 slices and take the rest home? I don't know. I do know that crunchy pizza and cold toppings aren't the answer. Bread, as opposed to roll, was fresh and toasted a bit, but I am partial to complete hoagie roll vs. section of French bread-like roll. Meat was plentiful but overly seasoned. Used to be good... Went yesterday, had to wait forever for my pie to come out of the oven. Meanwhile, the lady at the register put my mozzarella sticks and spaghetti (no bread with it, either) on the counter. Traveling from NJ, I ordered a five piece garlic parm boneless wing for $7.95 with a slice of bacon chicken ranch pizza for $3.50. The pizza was extremely dry and the crust was hard as a brick, overall it was very tasteless. The boneless wings were saturated in grease, so much that it soiled the bag and my car seat. Upon looking into the bag, there was an excessive amount of grease filling the bottom of the bag. This was a total waste of gas, money and time as I tossed the pizza and the boneless wings in the trash. I have been a customer for the past 5 years. I usually eat in but this is the 3rd time that I order chicken wraps for pick up, and I am so dissatisfied with them. The wraps come with fries and costs over $12 per order. I thought it was a mistake but this is the third time it happens. When I order more than one order, I noticed that the cooks chop up the chicken into tiny squares less than an inch and they mix with the lettuce, tomatoes and a lot of onions. The chicken is not even enough to make one full wrap. In other words it's a lettuce, onions and tomatoes wrap--no chicken at all. Theft at its best. The following review is for pizzaros 2 on Camelback Road, Tannersville. This place is going downhill fast. Walked in to order and wait for pizza and walked out with nothing asking for refund. Bathroom not working, soda machine not working, door to restaurant held open with a string. The biggest joke was oven not hot enough to cook the pizza. After almost 30 min wait the pie still not cooked. I asked for refund then. The cook came from the back with hands all over the food, no gloves and wonder if he even washed his hands. If you were able to give no stars I would! The food is low cost nasty flavored Italian. Start with appetizers the clams were little neck all breadcrumb no flavor. Spaghetti with meatballs was ok nothing to write home about. The spaghetti with white clam sauce was absolutely horrible not even edible. The salt in the sauce was so bad I walked out with hypertension. They charge for extra sodas when asked if you want a refill just for you to keep that in mind. The only negative thing to say about this place is that they're super busy on Friday nights. Pizza night aside, we just had an event at my home that needed catering. This was our first time using Pizzaros and they did not disappoint. They advertise that they open at 11:00am, but that didn't stop them from having the food ready for exactly when we needed it. Carry out service to the car, and even a friendly warning that the tray of chicken francaise might leak. All the guests praised the food. There wasn't a single complaint! My friends and I stopped by here for a quick pre-dinner snack on a Fri late afternoon. Pizzaro's is split into two sections where one half looks like a sit-down restaurant (but isn't) and the other, more popular half looks like a regular pizza joint. I read some great reviews on Pizzaro's so thought I'd give it a try. Ordered for takeout on Grubhub - two entrees/pastas, two slices of pizza, a Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks. Placed the order at 6:25pm and got a call around 6:30, letting me know that they had run out of seafood for the Fra Diavolo and Chicken Bruschetta I ordered, and kindly replaced these items. The estimated pick-up time said 7:05-7:15, so I arrived shortly after 7:00 anticipating that I'd wait for a bit. Knew it would be a busy night because it was a weekend/also Mother's Day, and especially as there were 10+ others also waiting inside to pick up their takeout orders. After checking in, the girl at the register noted it would be just a "few more minutes." However, I ended up standing inside waiting an HOUR AND A HALF for my food, and there was absolutely no communication from any of the employees as to how much longer this would take. I understand we're in difficult circumstances and that small businesses can get overwhelmed, but there's absolutely no reason why you should make a customer stand waiting for over an hour with no updates, apologies, or even offer of a water. They even started cleaning up and sweeping the floors because they were approaching closing time. I sternly expressed my concerns once my food was finally ready and the girl at the front eventually offered me a 20% off coupon and free 2-liter soda. All in all, the food ended up being OK - the pizza slices had clearly been sitting out for a long while but the pasta was warm/decent - however, this was my first experience with Pizzaro's and the customer service or lack thereof makes me never want to order from or go there again. read more
