    Pizza

My Stromboli with pepperoni was very good. The container of red sauce that came with it was very good also. The pizza had a thin, crispy crust. It is the best pizza around this area !!!!! It was first time here, but certainly will not be my last. We highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area

3ft sub and 3 Xl pizza

We ordered a 3 foot Italian sandwich with prosciutto, three extra large pizzas, and a gluten free pizza and everything was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and super affordable. The owner Chris was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place for both quality and service.

Went to a vacation I poconos and wanted to get a quick pie of pizza for the kids .. stopped by big papas which was on my way. Good service . The lady was very friendly and helped well. Pizza was ok. Normal as always . They also had salad, strombolis and other things . Good parking facilities. There were a few tables inside to dine-in. Overall a good experience..

Hands down best place we have eaten in the Poconos !!! The friendly staff was so sweet and made you feel like you were at home eating in your own kitchen . Very welcoming !! Can't wait to visit again next year !!

    Chicken Parm pizza

Got the Papas Special pizza and Chicken Parm pizza. I was pleasantly how good the sauce was and the chicken parm pizza was one of my favs. Papa's special was also very good. The workers were very nice. It was definitely a nice alternative to great wolf pizza.

My friends all shared a large pizza, customized with at least 5 toppings and it looked and smelled amazing. As a lactose intolerant person, I got a personal pizza with no cheese that I ordered at the counter since the kiosk didn't have that option as at the point, I can't really call it pizza. More like dough and sauce . I got the personal dough and (extra)sauce with pineapple (yay pineapple on pizza lovers! Don't hate) and pepperoni. The pepperoni was the ones you'd find at prince street pizza in soho! Little crispy cups of pepperoni goodness. The dough however was on the chewier side, and not crispy/thin like New York pizza slices are. Nevertheless, this was definitely a good spot. 4 stars- I think if they could make it thin crust, we would up it to 5 stars even. Maybe add in the option for thick or thin crust so customers who have a preference can choose what they want? For the lodge, expect to pay upwards of $20-$30 for a large pizza, and about $13 for a personal pie. It is expensive, but that's to be expected for Great Wolf Lodge- everything is expensive here! But what I loved about Hungry as a Wolf was how customizable everything was especially for someone who had dietary restrictions such as lactose intolerance. The staff were able to answer my questions and create something that I was happy to eat.

From my picture you can also see that they skimped on the cheese. Also expect long waits. Unfortunately you don't have many other family friendly vegetarian options when you are at the lodge.

There's plenty of indoor seating, and on nicer days you can also enjoy the outdoor seating. We started with a side of meatballs that were served piping hot with a delicious sauce. Honestly, the picture doesn't do them justice. They were fantastic. The Italian sub was also excellent--everything tasted fresh and it was served on a perfectly soft Italian roll. We also ordered a personal pepperoni pizza with a thin crust, and it was just as delicious. Our server was wonderful. She kept stopping by to refill our drinks, asked where we were visiting from, and was incredibly friendly and welcoming the entire time. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and felt very welcomed. We're so glad we stopped in! If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Tony's a try!

I figured I'll see how the pizza is over here and I have to say as a true New Yorker this pizza did not disappoint. It was delicious. If you like good pizza, this is your spot on the mountain. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio, cooked perfectly. I grabbed a bottle of Coke too go along with it perfectly. My friend ordered a chicken Caesar salad and enjoyed it. Service was excellent. They were very accommodating. As far as ambience, it's a really cool cozy spot, the TV was on playing some cartoons. So no loud music blasting in your ear. And it was a great experience overall. Nothing super over the top and definitely not a dingy place. So if you're looking for a cool spot with delicious Italian cuisine at an affordable price.. this is your place! We thought this meant he was taking our drink order. He wasn't. He nervously added that there was also water, if we so desired. Our daughter, who is two, was wildly overstimulated by this exchange and went running for food. I will say, as you might expect, this restaurant is remarkably kid-friendly. Pizza is a challenge, because they cut it and then keep it warm, so the cheese melts the pieces back together; mysteriously, tongs are offered for serving. This resulted in me flinging pieces of pizza around with the long-handled tongs to get them separated while my still-overstimulated daughter watched, and cried. Another man judged silently; as I walked away, I watched him succumb similarly to the pizza-flinging station. We moved on to veggies and pasta- low risk and easy. Truly a great selection for the little one. We got her a little of everything, and she dove in. After I chewed through a piece of what claimed to be a pork chop, and our daughter spilled water from her spill-resistant cup twice, the server asked if we needed anything else. I had forgotten we had a server. He brought the check, and, mysteriously, there was a "tip" line. He had kind eyes, so we left something that hopefully wouldn't get us labeled as a-holes, and left, my wife making me promise never to return. I honestly might.

Almost all of the food was cold, overcooked, dried out under the heat lamps and this is at 6pm. The selection is paltry with half dedicated to kids fare (as can be expected) and desserts which were half frozen cakes similar to what you'd find at a Chinese buffet. To put it in perspective I've maybe once had a worse meal from a science center, hospital or college cafeteria. As for service there was none.
