The food here is great but I wouldn't order the shrimp franchise, it's only 7 shrimp with a small side salad or small side pasta for 22$. It's not really a meal. This place does have great food non the less!! read more

Love this place! My daughter and I eat here at least once a week for pizza and entrees. The owners and staff are super friendly and always happy to greet us. We also catered a party from Pizzeria Bello a few weeks ago, and they did a fantastic job, all of our guests loved the food. All of the food has been amazing. Driving around Danbury, we were stricken with hunger. Turns out there are A LOT of pizzerias in this area - overwhelming pretty much any other kind of food. So we threw a figurative dart at a map and wound up at Pizzeria Bello - which turned out to be an airy, relaxed little place with pleasant, attentive service and, yes, decent pizza. However. I have to take issue with the prices of the toppings. This is such a fundamental thing to me - If you want to come up with your own pizza at Bello (as every pizza lover is entitled to do, in my opinion), you're looking at $10-$12 for your pizza plus an additional $3 for each topping. If you want more than one topping, that's expensive. That's maybe, *maybe* justifiable if you're you're talking about some sort of fancy, artisanal thing, but we're talking about the basics here (spinach, mushrooms etc) and it just doesn't add up; indeed, if you order 'The Works', that means a pizza with five toppings of your choice for around $20 - which seems like you're saving money, right? But alas, you wind up with a very overloaded, messy-to-eat pizza - the crust is wonderful, and crisply foldable enough to hold it all up, but you'll be left wishing you just got a margherita. read more

I would like to rate the food but I can't. I ordered two pizzas one hour and 22 minutes ago. My credit card was promptly charged. I waited patiently for the delivery and when I called, they admitted they botched the order and never sent it. If I could give 0 stars I would. They did offer to deliver right away but it was too late. Hopefully they do reverse the charge as they said they would. ---The owner called very soon after with an apology and a future credit. They did own up to the mistake and I appreciate them making it right. Because of that, I'll give them a try in the future. read more

We've been getting take out from here for years, we love the pizza and the salads and the penne vodka with chicken is amazing. Never had any problems at all. Yesterday my son had 9 friends together for his birthday and we decided to go to bellos to eat pizza. We called ahead and they were so nice, they had a table set up when we came in and he pizza ready for us. The woman who was working there was so friendly and kind. Amazing service. Who would have thought a pizza joint tucked in the middle of a strip mall would be so good? I had a lunch date with a friend. We had planned on going someplace else, but circumstances required us to rethink our destination. Since she loves pizza, and I wanted to go someplace different, we ended up here. We got there about noon. The very clean space was reminiscent of a chain burger joint. There were two guys sitting at the tables, obvious waiting for take-out orders. We walked in about ten feet before we hear someone from behind the counter call out, "If you're eating in, just sit where you want!" I must mention he was packing an order, and had the phone to his ear, taking another order. He was aware of everything going on, and made sure we were greeted as soon as we entered. We found a table, and he, Chris, was right over with menus. We ordered beverages (soft) and he ran off and returned right away with glasses of ice (all the drinks are in bottles/cans - but when I asked about unsweetened iced tea, he inquired if I wanted some lemon for it - I don't think I've ever been asked that before anywhere with bottled drinks!) He dropped off the menu, and started to pour over it. It's long. Lots of options, with a little of something for everyone. Of course, we got involved with talking, and debating our food options, and Chris, on his next visit told us to take our time and just wave at him when we were ready. By now, the space was starting to fill up. Most of the tables were taken, and a line of people waiting for their pick-up formed at the register (the line moved quickly, too - so they had their act together in the kitchen). My friend checked out the pies by the slice, and soon we decided. As soon as he saw my hand start to go up in the air, Chris was back and took our order. She picked a couple of slices of pizza and onion rings (her favorite thing, evah!), and I got fried calamari and Shrimp Marinara over pasta. I asked for the calamari to come out first, and everything else at the same time afterwards. I had doubts, based on other experiences at restaurants, that it would happen like that. But, I was proven wrong. The calamari came out. He anticipated that we'd both be picking on it, so brought two side plates. As an appetizer, it was large enough that it could have been an entree for one person. It came out hot, the coating was very crispy, and the calamari inside wasn't rubbery. The ramekin of marinara was just enough, and there were a few large slices of lemon on the fish. As an added note, a little sprinkle of chopped parsley on top make it look a bit nicer. A lot of small pizza joints wouldn't bother with that. It showed me that there was a lot of pride in the food they serve. We polished it off rather quickly, but even as they started to cool, the calamari didn't lose their crispiness. We had nearly polished off the calamari, when Chris returned with everything else. My shrimp and her rings were the first trip, and the slices and pasta were on the quick second trip (he couldn't carry them all at the same time). My plates were heated (or, at least felt that way). Eight decent sized shrimp covered in a marinara enhanced with slices of garlic and fresh basil. The pasta was perfectly al dente. There was a lot of food, and I only ate half. Chris kindly offered to wrap the rest for me. My only complaint was the the shrimp still carried their tails, but this was a very minor inconvenience-much fancier places do this too. My friend's slices were huge (for those keeping count, Meat lovers, and Pepperoni). Lots of toppings on both - more than enough that there was no question as to which was which. Again, too much - she ate half the Meat Lover's, and took just a bite of her pepperoni. I tried a bite, too - nice, thin crust and not greasy. Her rings were real breaded onion rings, not the chopped/formed stuff. There was a nice crunch as you bit into them, and, even as they cooled, didn't feel greasy. I warned my friend that there was no negotiation on dessert - we were ordering it! She picked a Cannoli; I got daring and ordered the Zeppole, fried balls of dough coated with powdered sugar. It was a while before they came to the table because my Zeppole came out hot, right from the fryer. And, even more surprising, there were a lot of them; I expected two or three - there had to have been eight or so on the plate. My friend's comment was, "I can't remember the last time I had a cannoli where the shell wasn't soggy!" She scarfed that down and had one of my Zeppole, as well. I ate half of what was left on the plate, and Chris gave me a bag for the rest. While we barely scratched the surface of the options on the menu, we found the food to be of excellent quality, and more than ample portions. Chris' service was on par with that of some of the finest restaurants I had visited. Kudos to him and the management. One of the best lunch experiences I've had in a very long time. read more

I've never had a bad experience here prior to yesterday. I had company over my house & we ordered 2 salads. I specified that I wanted one with grilled chicken. When we received the order, the salad did not have grilled chicken on it. I looked at the receipt for the order, and we still got charged for the chicken. I understand that there could be miscommunication at times, so I called the restaurant to let them know & spoke to the manager, who put someone else on the phone. They apologized, and they said they'd send someone back over to bring the grilled chicken "right away". This was at 7:45/8:00 pm. By 9:30, no one had arrived. My guest had gone home, disappointed in her meal. The worst part is, NO ONE EVER CAME. Extremely unprofessional, in my opinion. I can't imagine what happened. I called the restaurant today & spoke to the manager again to see what happened, and he didn't seem one bit surprised or apologetic that the chicken never got delivered. Who runs a business like this? He said that he would deliver grilled chicken to me today...almost 24 hours later. I told him that wasn't the point. Then he said he'd give me my money back for the "chicken" if I stopped in. I refused. This was just an all around inconvenience & disappointment. read more

0 STARS!! Stay away from Pizzaria Bello if you can avoid it! I still find it hard to believe this place is in business. Last night, I ordered take out-pizza, calamari and stuffed mushrooms.The man on the phone said 30 minutes. My diabetic mother was hungry and needed to eat...4 year old grandson is by now very hungry. I call and the girl answering the phone said it was mistakenly written down as a pick-up instead of delivery and someone had already picked it up! I spoke to Donna (supposedly the manager). When I explained what the girl said, Donna tells me the order is sitting on the oven. I asked if it had been sitting there for the past 1 1/2 hrs.? She responded NO...only 30 minutes. She said the delivery would arrive in 5 minutes (which it did not). When the food finally arrived, the calamari was cold and rubbery, mushrooms cold and the pizza stuck to the wax paper. When I spoke to Donna again, she told me she would make me a fresh order. Why did she not offer to do that when I spoke to her initially?? I told her to refund my money and I will never, ever order from here again. Not only was this a nightmare experience...my evening with my grandson and mother was ruined. I mistakenly thought I would enjoy my time with them by not having to cook. Stay away from Pizzaria Bello. read more

I went with my wife a few weeks back and am very impressed. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. It was a NY-style pizza and made to perfection. I've had my share of NY and New Haven style pizza and this is one of the best tasting I have ever had. I can't say definitely that it's the best ever but certainly top 10. The service was decent. Food was very good. However, we were charged more for our dishes than the price on the menu. When I asked the waitress to see a menu, she said," Why, do you want dessert?" I said, "No, I wanted to check the price of my meal." I told her my meal was $18.95 on the menu and I was charged $19.70. She told me the prices had increased, but they had not changed the price on the menus. My husband's meal also reflected an increase that was not the price on the menu. Bello serves consistently great food. They have pizza by the slice, but do yourself a favor and order a fresh made pizza. Can't go wrong with the sandwiches and salads either - both include generous servings of meat, which I have an issue with at a lot of other pizza joints who like to skimp on that. A little pricy, yes. However, you get what you pay for. The quality here is much better than at John's Best down the road, and it certainly blows away the mass produced horse dung that Pizza Hut serves. Lastly, the service here is very friendly. The guy behind the counter always strikes up a sports conversation with me, making the wait for my food a non-issue. With that said, Bello is the best pizzeria in Brookfield. read more

I'm a big fan of this place. It recently came under new management and it's become a first class restaurant. They have a very large Italian menu and have anything from buffalo chicken pizza to chocolate lava cake. The pizza is their most notable item and it's a 8 out of 10. It's flat with a thick crust and great sauce and cheese. For a small chain they are stepping up to the plate. They will soon have online orders and they can tell you your address when you call for delivery based on your phone number. Eating there is nice too, they always have the Yankee game on if you want to watch it there and their staff always strikes up a conversation. For a small restaurant it's doing big things and it doesn't look like their looking to stop anytime soon. There food is great and I highly recommend you stop or call in and try it. read more

This restaurant understand customer service. I asked them to make a special dish for me. They said no problem and made an entire platter for my party. Just stopped by Pizzaria Bello on the way back to NYC, I've been here several times and it never disappoints. Garlic knots are as good as advertised, ate so many could only eat half my chicken parm. Bello's catered a Christening party for me - 50 people. They arrived right on time with the food piping hot. They set up sternos, although not sure we really needed them.. I ordered Sausage w/ peppers and onion (without red sauce), Chicken Francese, Eggplant Rollotini, and Penne Alla Vodka. Everything was delicious and my guests were delighted with the food. I ordered 2 full trays of salad and this was too much for 50 people, as we did not finish even the 1st tray. I can't wait to order a few half trays for my next dinner party! read more
