Had a sudden craving for Chicago style pizza and Davlo did not disappoint. Easy to find, plenty of parking, entered and a young kid seated us. It was great to see a kid with a work ethic learning and earning at a young age. The menu was perfectly sized and had every option of pizza one could possibly want. We went with Hawaiian's and they were fantastic. Took about 40mins to cook, but the server advised us before ordering that's the typical cook time. Only real negative was a little note in the menu about only 1 free refill. That seemed really stingy, especially considering the considerable mark up for fizzy drinks that restaurants generally have. Solid chicago style deep dish pizza. If with a group, I'd recommend getting some salads to balance the pizza/cheese and also ask for recommendations on how much to get. We had 10 adults and orderee 2 large and 1 medium pizza and had leftovers (we did also get 5 small salads). I absolutely love their House on Flying Tomato Pizza! I'm a huge fan of deep dish pizza and this is my go to in Omaha. Staff is friendly and prompt with pickup orders. Ive only sat inside a few times but for the most part I do pickups. Breadsticks are my go to appetizer...yum! Really not expensive considering the size of the pizza. We finally have tried Pizzeria Davlo. This place has been recommended to me by multiple people and we decided to try it tonight. It was worth the 25 minute drive for us! There's 3 different style pizzas to choose from including Chicago style, flying tomato and thin crust. If you're not feeling pizza, it looks like they have some pasta options as well. We got the "house" in Chicago style (deep dish). The sauce was packed with a lot of flavor and each slice was super cheesy. Even the dough was pretty good - had the right consistency. The pizza is very filling. We have plenty of leftovers for the two of us and we ordered a 14 in (their large). Their prices are very reasonable considering how much pizza you get with the Chicago style. We will definitely be trying this place again in the future! read more

First time visit after having Pizza Davolo bookmarked since they opened nearly two years ago. Independently owned and family-operated, with a desire to source local and organic ingredients (according to their website). The menu also features lots of gluten-free items, if you're into that. And plenty of gluten-full items, if you're not. (The warm garlic breadstick served with the Caesar salad was a winner). We drove "all the way" out here specifically for deep dish, so that's where we went next. The restaurant is somewhat small, but very clean, with friendly and accommodating staff. Patrons were a nice mix of families and friends at 7pm on a Saturday night. Several TV's flanked the dining room playing college football. Chicago Style "House" in a 12" medium was our order: sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion, and red pepper. Worth noting that it was red pepper... Since red bell peppers generally cost double that of their green counterparts. So, props for that. And how was it? Ultimately very good. A nice substitute for "real" Chicago deep dish. Tangy sauce, flaky crust. Very appealing, and hit the spot nicely. Despite having a full bar, with seating, the tap beers are a bit limited. Only two more "craft" beers on tap. Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. The service was good. Friendly staff. The prices are reasonable. My wife has to eat gluten free and they make that very easy. The waiter also advised they do clean and use gloves to help with avoiding cross contamination. I tried my wife's gluten free pizza and we both thought it was one of the better gluten free crusts out there. I really enjoyed my Chicago Style Greek. The sauce is sweet and delicious. I added bacon and sausage to it which was even better. I took my left overs home and it tasted just as good warmed up in the oven. They also do a nice small house salad; simple and done right. Fantastic service service first of all. Kept the drinks flowing without interruption something not really used to during these difficult times. Not to mention extremely courteous. Ordered the pizza half house and half meat. Cant go wrong with either of them. Crust had a buttery flavor which was a pleasant change from most pie places. Ugh. Having a dad from Chicago and being there more times than a girl can count. This place is the real deal. We've been in maybe 3 times but definitely have ordered takeout multiple times. And now with our current situation they have WINE to go. Beautiful. And the Saturday we ordered it was 1/2 off. Can't beat that! Their pizza is phenomenal and you can never go wrong with the Chicago Style House. Can't be beat anywhere in the city. And when you have leftovers (because you'd be silly if you would ever order less than a 14" because leftover pizza is the best) my experience is put those pieces on a pizza pan/cookie sheet at 300° for 30/35 minutes and you're golden. My fiancé and I are building a house in the area. Stoped by at Pizzeria Davlo on the way back from checking the progress and we couldn't have made a better decision! The interior is cozy and welcoming and I can't even begin to describe the quality of the food. We started with breadsticks and a Cesar salad, both completely delicious. My fiancé had two different beers and I had a cocktail. Also phenomenal. But just when we thought it couldn't get better our pizza arrived. It is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I've been here a handful of times. Pizza is always great. Plan ahead because the thick pizza takes about 40 minutes to cook. I'd recommend to call your order in if your taking out or dining in. My favorite is the Meat Eaters Chicago Style Deep Dish. The sauce on top is a nice, thick consistency with a hint of sweetness. I recently had the wings. AMAZING! They are extra crunch with a very small bite to it. The only downside is they only have one flavor. I like that it has flavor though without sauce. The atmosphere is a bit...bland. Nothing special about the place. It has some tables, booths, and some decorations. They have two tvs so the boys can watch sports. I can only speak for the gluten free pizza because this is the only one I have tried here so far. It was by far the best gluten free pizza I have had here in Omaha, hands down! Toppings and cheese were plentiful: absolutely no complaints here! Atmosphere was quite quaint, more upscale than "joint-like". Prices were definitely fair. They also carry their same baked pasta selection in the gluten-free variety, a quinoa salad, and a gluten free kid's option. They have a full bar with a few larger TVs playing NCAA. My friend got the chicago deep dish. She said it was fabulous and flakey. It looked liked the traditional chicago deep dish: pie crust and all, minus the corn meal you sometimes get in chicago. I come from St Louis where Pi pizza sets a very high standard... However this place just falls short of expectations when they advertise Chicago style deep dish. I had a Caesar salad which was pretty good, the breadstick was a nice addition. Not too overpowering on dressing and it was a decent size. The pizza (we ordered the house) was "ok." I didn't dislike it, however I was disappointed to see the pool of water when the slice was lifted from the tray. The dough was undercooked as well, but the outside was crispy so it wasn't like they sent it out knowing it was not done. Finally, the sauce should be the stand out mark on a Chicago deep dish I think... And it was mediocre at best. It was slightly bland, resembled canned sauce. Cheesy, saucy, savory goodness true to the Chicago style, with a crust that's just the perfect amount of crisp on the edges. The topping selection is top notch. All ingredients are deliciously garden fresh, and each piping hot pizza pie is accompanied by service equal to any top rated restaurant in Omaha. The family that owns this place obviously has poured heir heart and soul into it, and their love of what they do is apparent in the keen attention to detail. I've never had an order incorrect, and never received anything less than perfect Chicago style pizza every time I've gone here. Family friendly, so feel free to bring the kiddos. The only thing that continues to surprise me each time I go here is that it's so easy to get a table. How is it that all of Omaha doesn't know about this place yet?!
