We stopped in for dinner before a school event on a Friday evening. It was relatively slow so that was nice. We opted for some drinks, a tap beer, and a pineapple mojito and the bruschetta appetizer. I LOVE how it was served, essentially build your own bruschetta with the tomato, mozzarella and bread on the plate. The pizza was good, but did take 30 minutes to cook which we thought was a long time for minimal guests. It was piping hot when it arrived. The fries with the kids meal were good too I didn't love the mojito, but it was very fruity. We didn't get deep dish and i wish we could have, as the this was a little too thing and crunchy for me. Overall it's a cute family run business and I encourage everyone to check them out!

Big fan of a traditional deep dish pie. That being said, I did not get a traditional deep dish pie. We chose to do the Der Bamberg as a flying tomato. Yummy! The crust is light and flaky, toppings were plentiful. Seems like the difference between the flying tomato and the deep dish is the use of tomato, sauce or tomato (see pics). We did also get an order or bruschetta (no Pic for this one), comes with toast, sliced fresh mozz. I personally found the bruschetta itself bland, felt like it should have more fresh basil or garlic. Overall we did enjoy our meal, plenty of leftovers, easily re-heats in oven. I will be back.

We ate at Pizzeria Davlo with our supper club (11 people!) and had a great time. The ambiance of the restaurant is a nice homey vibe with the wood panel walls and warm neutral carpeting. The staff was excellent, even when a few in our party ordered a dish that takes about 40 minutes to cook! Once our food started to arrive, we started with the bread sticks as an appetizer - and they were AMAZING. They came as more of a cheesy bread style, with the four breadsticks connected and then covered in melted cheese with a side of sweet marinara sauce for dipping. We also saw that they had a "maple vinaigrette" salad dressing on the menu, so we had to also get a House Salad to try that. It was tasty - not too sweet, like you might think when you hear "maple" dressing. For our pizza, we ordered two: The Meat Eater pizza in Chicago Style and the Thin Crust with Sausage. Both were fantastic, and very different, with the Meat Eater being a deep dish style and the Thin Crust having the toppings, well, "on top"! Style wise, while both were delish, I think I preferred the Thin Crust more, only because the Chicago Style was a little too saucy and huge for me. My husband was a big fan, though! And the star of the show - the Davlo pasta! I ordered the smaller size option but if/when I go back, I'm getting the larger size. It's a baked dish, with sausage, noodles, mozzarella and the same yummy marinara that accompanied the bread sticks. The fact that it was all baked together, though, with the crispy burnt cheese on the edges - mmm - chef's kiss! So with the pizza, pasta, and service, I say this definitely deserved five stars and a hearty recommendation from me! :-)

The pizza was delicious and I only had to wait about 15 minutes for a carry out order. The pepperoni is super yummy it has a unique flavor to it! The lady that attended me was very friendly and efficient. Definitely will come back to try the deep dish as it seems to be the most popular pizza !

The deep dish pizza is what we came for, and it did not disappoint! Neither did the salad or breadsticks. Came here for a late lunch and ordered ahead over the phone since we heard that the deep dish pizzas take about 30 minutes to bake. The food was ready when we got there after 20 minutes, and everything was fresh! We got a 12" deep dish Veggie pizza, and it was beautiful and loaded! Loaded with cheese and sauce and fresh veggies. My fiance and his dad both really loved it! I tried a piece too and it was good! The sauce had a little special something to it - little extra flavor - I don't know what, but it went really well with everything else. Nice fresh pizza dough too. I ordered the Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken (dressing on the side), and it was really nice and refreshing. Really generous serving size - abundance of veggies, and right amount of chicken. Loved the pepperoncinis even plain, haha. The dressing was really refreshing too. I asked for the breadsticks to come at the end so they'd be fresh, and it was exactly that! Warm and soft breadsticks, just beautiful! I could have had the entire order and not shared any!

If you're a fan of the Chicago stable of deep dish staples, then you'll be pleased to know that Omaha has a place of its own that measures up well. Excellent sauce, flaky crust and fresh ingredients. Davlo delivers.

I absolutely love their House on Flying Tomato Pizza! I'm a huge fan of deep dish pizza and this is my go to in Omaha. Staff is friendly and prompt with pickup orders. Ive only sat inside a few times but for the most part I do pickups. Breadsticks are my go to appetizer...yum! Really not expensive considering the size of the pizza. I 100% recommend this place! read more

Solid chicago style deep dish pizza. If with a group, I'd recommend getting some salads to balance the pizza/cheese and also ask for recommendations on how much to get. We had 10 adults and orderee 2 large and 1 medium pizza and had leftovers (we did also get 5 small salads). We got a veggie pie which was my/the groups least favorite, but the 2 meat ones were great! read more

Over priced, very slow service, 45 minute wait after you order to get a pizza, warm beer, waitress was very friendly, food good. Table next to us just got the wrong order they will be here hour and a half waiting for food. Probably won't stop back just because of the wait and the warm beer. I like my beer cold. read more

We finally have tried Pizzeria Davlo. This place has been recommended to me by multiple people and we decided to try it tonight. It was worth the 25 minute drive for us! There's 3 different style pizzas to choose from including Chicago style, flying tomato and thin crust. If you're not feeling pizza, it looks like they have some pasta options as well. We got the "house" in Chicago style (deep dish). The sauce was packed with a lot of flavor and each slice was super cheesy. Even the dough was pretty good - had the right consistency. The pizza is very filling. We have plenty of leftovers for the two of us and we ordered a 14 in (their large). Their prices are very reasonable considering how much pizza you get with the Chicago style. We will definitely be trying this place again in the future! read more

Billed as Chicago style, not necessarily true. It's on that order but a little bit different. The deep dish is filling, very filling. I've tried the crispy crust yet. I'm more the thinner crusted pizza with good amount of toppings. Service was informative and quick. Nicely decorated with some tv. read more

Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. The service was good. Friendly staff. The prices are reasonable. My wife has to eat gluten free and they make that very easy. The waiter also advised they do clean and use gloves to help with avoiding cross contamination. I tried my wife's gluten free pizza and we both thought it was one of the better gluten free crusts out there. I really enjoyed my Chicago Style Greek. The sauce is sweet and delicious. I added bacon and sausage to it which was even better. I took my left overs home and it tasted just as good warmed up in the oven. They also do a nice small house salad; simple and done right. I hope to get back here in the near future. The 10" Chicago Style made 3 meals for me. They also have a nice beer selection. read more

First time visit after having Pizza Davolo bookmarked since they opened nearly two years ago. Independently owned and family-operated, with a desire to source local and organic ingredients (according to their website). The menu also features lots of gluten-free items, if you're into that. And plenty of gluten-full items, if you're not. (The warm garlic breadstick served with the Caesar salad was a winner). We drove "all the way" out here specifically for deep dish, so that's where we went next. The restaurant is somewhat small, but very clean, with friendly and accommodating staff. Patrons were a nice mix of families and friends at 7pm on a Saturday night. Several TV's flanked the dining room playing college football. Chicago Style "House" in a 12" medium was our order: sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion, and red pepper. Worth noting that it was red pepper... Since red bell peppers generally cost double that of their green counterparts. So, props for that. And how was it? Ultimately very good. A nice substitute for "real" Chicago deep dish. Tangy sauce, flaky crust. Very appealing, and hit the spot nicely. Despite having a full bar, with seating, the tap beers are a bit limited. Only two more "craft" beers on tap. The menu includes a few decent imports in bottles as consolation, including both Peroni and Moretti. read more

Very surprising, very good. Two 10" pizzas and one large salad for $34 is a good deal these days, not including a 20% tip because it was a to-go order and the pizza was hot and ready when they said it would be. The Sausage, Canadian bacon, green olive and SAUERKRAUT pizza was great. Der Bomberger they call it. You never see sauerkraut on pizza around here and it's a great idea to try it. Think of it as a different kind of salty cheese. We also had a Greek pizza with artichokes and feta and black olives and sliced tomatoes. Sliced tomatoes is delicious on pizza. Thin crust on both. Yes, they have thin crust, seems like they are known for their monster thick crusts. Thin is a crunchy cracker crust and excellent. Greek salad was good too with an interesting olive oil and herb dressing. It was fresh, iceberg lettuce. They have a very good beer selection too. this place opened in 2014, and I just found it on Yelp in 2022, I should have tried it years ago. Try it soon. You'll like it. read more

Ordered the Chicago style deep dish for takeout and it was just as good as ever. Keep in mind it takes 45 minutes to prepare and cook. The crust was flaky and held up well. The sauce was tasty and slightly tangy. The toppings (garlic, green pepper, and pepperoni) was tasty and sufficient in quantity. Fantastic service service first of all. Kept the drinks flowing without interruption something not really used to during these difficult times. Not to mention extremely courteous. Ordered the pizza half house and half meat. Cant go wrong with either of them. Crust had a buttery flavor which was a pleasant change from most pie places. Establishment was very clean as were the restrooms. Vents were spotless, which is a pet peeve of mine not sure why but just is. Love the picture of Kramer adds some uniqueness. read more

Ugh. Having a dad from Chicago and being there more times than a girl can count. This place is the real deal. We've been in maybe 3 times but definitely have ordered takeout multiple times. And now with our current situation they have WINE to go. Beautiful. And the Saturday we ordered it was 1/2 off. Can't beat that! Their pizza is phenomenal and you can never go wrong with the Chicago Style House. Can't be beat anywhere in the city. And when you have leftovers (because you'd be silly if you would ever order less than a 14" because leftover pizza is the best) my experience is put those pieces on a pizza pan/cookie sheet at 300° for 30/35 minutes and you're golden. Cheese and crust are just as good as fresh. They have a great family owned business and we need to keep it rolling for this times when we're craving a flawless pizza! read more

My fiancé and I are building a house in the area. Stoped by at Pizzeria Davlo on the way back from checking the progress and we couldn't have made a better decision! The interior is cozy and welcoming and I can't even begin to describe the quality of the food. We started with breadsticks and a Cesar salad, both completely delicious. My fiancé had two different beers and I had a cocktail. Also phenomenal. But just when we thought it couldn't get better our pizza arrived. It is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I can't stress this enough. TRY THE CHICAGO DEEP DISH! Everything from the sauce to the crust was perfect in flavor and texture. I've been to Pizzeria Davlo multiple times with family/friends and everyone I take is always impressed. The appetizers are great my personal favorite are the bacon cheese fries. The fries are crispy they're loaded with fresh mozzarella cheese and have real pieces of bacon. The Chicago Style pizza is as authentic as it gets. The House is always the selection to go with for a classic Chicago style pizza. For anyone that has never had Chicago style pizza or wants to have authentic deep dish Davlo's is the spot. Also you can't forget their choices of alcohol everything from imported beers from Belgium, Italy, and Germany to beers brewed right here in Nebraska. read more

Went last week to Pizzeria Davlo after a friend said this was his favorite pizza in Omaha. I have to say, this is the best deep dish pizza in Omaha. Plan on waiting 45 minutes for this 10 lb behemoth of pure cheezy, gooey love. We ordered the meat lovers and it was just perfect. Crust was flaky and a perfect compliment to the sauce. Hey, while you're waiting, get some of the chips and salsa. The chips are paper thin and warm and crunchy. Great way to pass the time. Better chips than most Mexican restaurants in Omaha. read more

I've been here a handful of times. Pizza is always great. Plan ahead because the thick pizza takes about 40 minutes to cook. I'd recommend to call your order in if your taking out or dining in. My favorite is the Meat Eaters Chicago Style Deep Dish. The sauce on top is a nice, thick consistency with a hint of sweetness. I recently had the wings. AMAZING! They are extra crunch with a very small bite to it. The only downside is they only have one flavor. I like that it has flavor though without sauce. The atmosphere is a bit...bland. Nothing special about the place. It has some tables, booths, and some decorations. They have two tvs so the boys can watch sports. Don't judge a book by the cover though, the pizza is the best Chicago style you'll find around here. read more

This restaurant is great for family and large group gatherings. It is known to be one of the best local pizza joints in Omaha. I came with my group of friends to try out their deep dish Chicago style pizzas. Even though the wait for our food was long, it was definitely worth the wait! We all got our pizzas within 40 minutes. I would highly recommend others to reserve a table ahead of time to experience their food. read more

Yes, yes, YES! If you are looking for the best Chicago style pizza, THIS is your place! My husband and I dined in last night (we called in our order ahead to avoid the wait) and had the most wonderful experience. Our pizza was ooey-gooey in the middle with a crispy deep dish crust. This place has been on my radar for quite a while now. Finally got a chance to try it out. I love Chicago style pizza and it's hard to come by in Omaha. I ordered carry out, so I can't comment on what the dining-in experience is like. The make-your-own pizza was delicious... very close to the real deal that you would get in Chicago. Unfortunately, it's quite a distance from where we live, so hopefully next time we're in the West Omaha area we'll be able to dine-in. read more

Absolutely FANTASTIC! I'm only giving this family owned, local, little known gem a five star rating because Yelp won't let me give TEN. Where to start? The pizza is magnificent. Cheesy, saucy, savory goodness true to the Chicago style, with a crust that's just the perfect amount of crisp on the edges. The topping selection is top notch. All ingredients are deliciously garden fresh, and each piping hot pizza pie is accompanied by service equal to any top rated restaurant in Omaha. The family that owns this place obviously has poured heir heart and soul into it, and their love of what they do is apparent in the keen attention to detail. I've never had an order incorrect, and never received anything less than perfect Chicago style pizza every time I've gone here. Family friendly, so feel free to bring the kiddos. The only thing that continues to surprise me each time I go here is that it's so easy to get a table. How is it that all of Omaha doesn't know about this place yet?! Despite the majority of the gorgeous interior having empty tables, we were seated next to a dirty rag/silverware station rather than the beautiful empty booths while walking to the bathroom. Our server was hard to find and we had to repeatedly ask for simple things such as water refills. To top things off, there was zero music which felt quite awkward. For a bill that totaled over $350, we expected a much better dining experience. With the abundance of restaurants in the area, I would not recommend Monarch.

Pizza is one of my favorite comfort foods, but all pizza is not created equal. Pizzas made in different styles (i.e., NY-style or Chicago-style) more often than not taste like completely different foods. As a result sometimes I crave NY-style, sometimes I crave Neapolitan-style, and sometimes I crave Chicago-style. When I'm in a Chicago-style pizza frame of mind, Pizzeria Davlo is where I want to head for the best Chicago-style pizza I've found thus far in Omaha :-) The first time we visited Davlo was several months ago. The weather was cold, the days were short, and I found myself craving the kind of deep dish, Chicago-style pies that I'd heard they do really well here. My friend and I went for dinner right after work on a weekday evening. We were seated immediately, and after a brief consult with our very helpful and friendly server we ordered a house Chicago-style pie with pepperoni on the whole thing and with mushrooms on half of it. Tip: At Davlo (and all the legit Chicago-style pizza restaurants out there) it takes from 40 to 50 minutes to bake a deep-dish Chicago-style pie. Given that kind of baking time you'll probably be much happier if you place your pizza order first, and then ask your server to come back and take the rest of your order once the pizza has been started :-) When our pie arrived it was unquestionably worth the wait! The sauce and the toppings leave little room for improvement; the former is sweet, with a subtle but delicious zesty kick to it; the latter are obviously premium quality and the flavors blend wonderfully with that of the sauce. About my only complaint is with the crust. I've eaten here three times now and each time it wasn't buttery enough and it was a bit too flaky for my taste. That said, the pizzas here are the closest thing to authentic Chicago-style pies I've found in Omaha to date and I look forward to returning. read more

I was optimistic about eating here as pizza is my favorite food, and for me Chicago deep dish pizza it is topnotch or the best, and I read in the local newspaper review that this pizza is the real deal for Chicago deep dish pizza not a imitation. I ate the Chicago deep dish pizza not only does it resemble pizza of UNO Chicago Grill but also tastes the same. It's not a imitation of Chicago deep dish pizza it is the real deal. The server was attentive, and kind. The water was cold with ice, there are tables and booths it does have that Italian theme. There are also multiple areas for tvs if you ever wanted to watch sports games, or something else non sports if no one else is watching the tv of something they want. Not a surprise that as a Italian theme restaurant there are no pictures of anything of Chicago even though the main theme is it serves Chicago deep dish pizza. The shoes if I recall right of servers is black sneakers, for their clothes blue jeans and plain black t shirts so the causal look. This is one of my favorite restaurants where I live, and I'll be eating here a lot for the rest of the year, and in future years. read more

Ordered the Der Bamberg specialty with sausage, Canadian bacon, sauerkraut and green olives, a very interesting and tasty pizza, crust was crispy on the outside with a bit of chew on the inside. Best pizza in Omaha- hands down. While Davlo's rightfully known for their Chicago-style pizza, they also have excellent thin crust options.
