From a quality to value ratio, this place is 3 stars. Service is great, the pies here have that crisp crust that you want out of a pie. We ordered a pie with many toppings which raised the sodium level where you can tell the pie was salty. So I highly recommend ordering a cheese or margarita. Keep the toppings to a minimum. All that said, really a 4, but some may not find the value in the pies due to the price that point. I definitely think it's worth a visit, but not something I will drive out of my way again cause of the price point read more

You know what it's like to try a new place you've been hearing about, you finally go there and everything is going great then bam! Something happens that makes you say...NEVER AGAIN. That was our experience tonight at Pizzeria Ruby. Good service, pizza was good, but the place is noisy. I could hear music being played in the background but couldn't make out what it was. It wasn't until my wife used the bathroom and she could hear the music. It was some of the worst vulgar, violent, insulting, embarrassing trash you could imagine! Every other word was MF this, MF that. At first we thought maybe that was just something coming thru in the bathroom but nope, it was being played throughout the entire restaurant. When my wife and I were dating, we would hit up Chef Robertshaw's Persephone pop ups. We already loved the fare at the standard truck, but these events sold specialty corn dogs and hot dogs from time to time - those were always fun and they offered us free frozen margaritas a few times. It was awesome. We've followed his food endeavors across NWA based on that experience, so to say we were excited to see Ruby open was a massive understatement. The food, like all of his other endeavors in this area (Persephone, Three Cents an Acre, Moonbrooch popups, etc) is ridiculous. I've never had a bad meal here. I don't mind waiting my turn on busy days, and I love every member of their staff. They're just rad, awesome people that just want to welcome us into a fun food experience. Everything here is delicious. There isn't a bad thing, and having slices for breakfast the next morning is a dream come true. Chef, thank you for gracing this area with your food. This pizza is the best pizza in Arkansas. The crust is crispy. I have had a few of the specialty pizzas and you can't really go wrong. My spicy Italian boyfriend or the truffle pig pizzas are delicious. Chopped salad is a must have. read more

The good: this is probably the only good pizza in NWA. The bad: they don't let you make reservations at a decent time and their waitlist is a mess. I've tried all sorts of tactics to try and get in line and be able to eat at a decent time. Nothing works. It's always 2-3 hrs for a table. Use take out it's a 30 min wait. To the staff please please please start pushing people off tables when they're done eating. People are just hanging out while the lot is full of people in cars waiting to eat. read more

The best pizza and other Italian dishes in the area. Is a little hard to get a table on the fly with the popularity of the restaurant rising, but it is worth it. Get on the waitlist online an hour ahead and you'll be about on time to get there an hour later. The #4 "the north" is my favorite pie, but the pasta dishes are all delicious and unique in their own way. As a New Yorker, I was really hopeful to try the pizza out at Pizzeria Ruby, the vibe is great and the ambiance and atmosphere was very vibrant and buzzing with happiness, great music, the staff were friendly and very welcoming. The pizza on the other hand...sorry to say I am disappointed in the pizza. I had the pepperoni and mushroom pizza, which was good but way too much salt, the dough and crust was perfect light and thin fluffy, crispy and crunchy just wonderful, the sauce was salty, the pepperoni again salty, the pizza was light on cheese (not much cheese stretch) which reminded me a little of Johnny's Pizza in Mount Vernon New York ( more cheese stretch here). The pizza would have been a 10 out of 10 if it weren't for being saturated with saltiness. In the event I happen to visit again, I would just get a plain pie to re-evaluate my review, it could have been the pepperoni which was abundant on the pie. I was excited to bring a friend here for the first time and we were number 2 on the waitlist. There were two other groups waiting by the door that were not greeted coming into the location. A few minutes later a man came up to to let us know that we can't stand in front of the door because its a fire hazard when there were two other groups also impeding access to the door if there was a fire but they were not addressed at all. A few minutes later even though my friend moved away from the door the man then told us to wait in our car when we were next to be seated. Both times he addressed us he was lacking great customer service. We got seated by the door ironically and got the chance to overhear the same guy complaining about us to another employee. Amazing pizza, not just for Arkansas standards, but in general (I'm from New Jersey/New York so you can call me a pizza snob if you want ). The dough, sauce, cheese, and cooking style is to perfection! I had the vodka pie and a custom pepperoni & sausage pie and really loved both, slight preference to the vodka pie. Their Cesar salad was also really delicious and portion size was great to share for a big group like we were. All their ingredients here are high quality and fresh and again, most importantly, they know how to make a good pizza. Highly recommend! read more

This place has gone downhill since it opened. My wife and I went there last night (4.15) and were extremely disappointed. We put our names on a wait list and were #8 (we were willing to wait as we wanted to eat at the restaurant). So since we were gonna be there a while, I asked the bartender if he could put on the UArk-Tenn baseball game. He snapped back, "I have tried every channel and can't find it"! Ok, I get it was on ESPN+ but for Gods sake, y'all are in SEC country - spring for the subscription! While we waited, I ordered a glass of wine from the hostess - who seemed totally inconvenienced- but she handed me a buzzer vs a glass of wine. Umm, ok. (She wasnt that busy as she had plenty of time to wipe down the menus!). Anyway, about 5 mins later I exchanged the buzzer for a plastic cup of wine (no glass)w the same testy, short, bearded bartender who seemed put out that I took him away from the bar as I was standing by the door w my wife. After two groups were seated in front of us, things started to slow down and people started leaving. By this time we had been there about 20 mins and we are now #6 on the list (or so I thought). Now, enough groups had left that it opened up 5 tables and two seats at the bar. So I turned to the hostess (who had finally stopped wiping down the menus) and mentioned that if we were 6th on the list, if she could put us at one of the tables. She replied, "oh y'all are #8 on the list and there are two groups ahead of you"! Ok, mind you, I looked around the place and there were not anywhere near 8 groups waiting. Long story short, we got so frustrated w the way we were treated, we finally just ordered a pizza and took it back to the hotel. The frustration didn't stop there as by the time for the hotel - just down the street - it was soggy w huge chunks of sausage on it. We ended up throwing 2/3 of it away! Watched the dough fly high above the hands that were flinging it as they have a super cool open kitchen. Something comforting about watching everyone making your food. Beer and wine and slices to go. Others may have remarked about the prices but this pizza is worth its weight in gold. Thin, crispy, not too much cheese, not too much sauce. A perfect Neapolitan style straight from Naples. They're overpriced for what you get, you have to accommodate their schedule when arranging for carry out ( like calling an hour ahead and then being told when you have to pick up your order), and crusts on pizzas I've ordered have consistently been burned. When I first saw Pizzeria Ruby's Yelp page, it had a few reviews, all being five stars, all of them saying it's the best pizza in Northwest Arkansas. I noted the place down but decided to wait to see how other people reviewed it. It was reinforced with even more five-star reviews a few weeks later, and still, everyone claimed it as the best pizza in Northwest Arkansas. Maybe they were fake reviews, perhaps the reviewers were just family and friends - but there was only one way to find out. Yeah, it's the best pizza in Northwest Arkansas. It's not even close. As noted by others, expect Pizzeria Ruby to be a little bit crowded, especially during peak times. I had to wait in the cashier line for maybe 10 minutes before ordering, but it was fair given how busy it was. We ordered 1x Pepperoni slice, 1x White Pizza slice, and 1x Howdy Neighbor slice. Pros - Every slice was fantastic (except the pepperoni, which was just really good). - The Howdy Neighbor is a beautiful concoction of brisket, cheddar, onion, and jalapeno that typically belongs on a sandwich but has been proven to be exceptional on their pizzas. - The White Pizza has this amazing onion jam that may be a bit of an acquired taste (my wife disliked it). Still, I loved it and heavily recommended it to anyone who likes caramelized onions or anything similar - it sounds strange, but it was perfection. - The crusts were top of the line - maybe only second to some great places I've been to in NYC. Cons - This place is maybe two months old, but it's already becoming popular, so I expect there to be long waits in the future. - It's closed on Sundays and Mondays, so I'm only able to go five days a week rather than seven. Pizzeria Ruby showed up and delivered a 1st round knock out to all NWA pizza. This is a new standard for the area. It's not just great NWA pizza. It would compete in NYC (where I lived for 20 years and ate all the pizza. Ha.) New Haven. Boston, Philly or Chicago. It's just that legit! In addition to pizza the other dishes are fantastic and the same care and thought was put into the pasta, appetizers (mussels!!) and salads.
