The salad bar is supposed to be cold. When my family and I went in the salad was warm the tuna fish salad tasted like it was rotten. The cottage cheese was warm. We told a server and someone checked the pepperoni yet the only thing that was done was ice was put under the already warm salad bar( which is against food safety guidelines). We came to this town bc my friend grew up here and used to work at Pizza Oven when he was in high school so we came here to enjoy the taste of nostalgia. I got a Philly cheesesteak sub with tots. We also got an order of cheese fries to split. Everything was good. We got a pizza to go and I have to say that was the most disappointing part. Cobb salads are still delicious. If you dine in you get a huge serving! The Pizza buffet left a little to be desired. We got there at 1 and at 2 someone finally shut it down. Y'all. (I say y'all because I live in South Carolina.) Pizza Oven is the taste of my childhood. I grew up in Hedgesville, WV, and my mom was friends with Mark and Amy Peters, who owned both locations of Pizza Oven (at the time, there was one in Eagle Plaza). My oldest brother worked at Pizza Oven for upwards of five years, and naturally, he would bring leftovers home or we would come visit while he was working. I first ate Pizza Oven probably close to five years old. I remember being at the pre-opening party for the Inwood location. My family moved away in 2007, and soon after, the Eagle Plaza Pizza Oven closed. Well, I came home a while ago and had to get Pizza Oven. I drove nearly 30 minutes from where I was staying to have lunch, and seriously, it didn't disappoint. Like, I almost cried. Between the bacon cheese fries with PERFECT ranch and the delicious pizza, it was seriously as great of a nostalgic time-machine-esque experience as it could have been. The food was not only so tasty, but the SAME as it had been ten years prior, and the atmosphere was still so comfortable. I can not recommend this staple of my childhood enough!!! read more

I was staying at the Hampton Inn across the street and was looking for a quick place to eat that was also tasty. I know quick and good do no go well together, however I was craving pizza. I asked the front desk lady and she said this place though conveniently located was not the best pizza place in town. I checked yelp reviews and they did not seem too bad so I decided to try dinner here. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, salad with no onions and cheese fries. The cheese fries were the hit with my children, however the pizza was bland and you tasted the crust which was dry and had a sweet taste and the cheese and pepperoni were very greasy. I took the pizza directly from the restaurant to the hotel across the street and in that time the pizza was able to become soggy and hard to hold and the cheese seemed to easily fall off the crust. To touch on how delicious the cheese fries are I have to describe the meal in itself. The fries were made to order they were covered in a lot of melted cheddar cheese and bacon. The fries were crispy and the whole dish was hot and bursting with flavor. If you noticed I breezed right past the salad I bought. The salad was a grilled salad with grilled chicken. The chicken had little to no flavor and it was barely warm to the touch. The dressing was bland, it was normal ranch dressing, however the brand was not at all appealing. read more

Pulled off rt 81 for lunch on our way back to NY. It is located in a mall behind a burger king and next to a subway sandwich shop. We had originally thought to go to subway but saw this place and figured it beats a chain store. It is a real local spot. The kind a pizzeria you would get on a corner. So don't expect lavish decore or surroundings. No one was I the mood for pizza instead we order sandwiches off the menu. We had a chicken finger parm, a meatball and a Reuben sandwich. They were all Better than adequate and the fries they served were fresh cut. The bill for the 3 plus a soft drink Was less than 25$. We all felt it was far superior to another cookie cutter lunch. Went here for the first time on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised! We arrived about 11:45am or so and there were still a few tables available but by 12:15pm all the tables were full. We opted for the lunch buffet, which is a steal at $5.99 per person. I'm not sure if this is a norm or not, but they had a hard time keeping the buffet stocked with pizza. They seemed to be short staffed and the waitress on the dining floor was being pulled all over the place, however, she did her best to wait on everyone and clear tables. There were periods of 5-10 min where there were no pizzas out. The pizza itself was really good. Nice and cheesy with a slightly sweet sauce. The taco pizza sounds weird but is actually pretty good! I wanted to try the dessert pizza, which looked delicious, but the person in front of me grabbed the last slice. We will definitely be back! read more

The food here was great for the price. I did not expect gourmet food and did not get it. However, what I did get was friendly service and good food. My kids loved this place and the buffet was the way to go. I like it better than other pizza buffets I have been to. I wish there was one closer to where I live. The owner Amy came out and when she found out we were first timers she brought a selection of her home made sauces and her delicious hot relish. Cheese steak meat was grilled and it steamed.
