I think it's because they are thin and I have to double layer but nooo broski it's bc the slices won't fit on 1 plate. The pizza is enormous so big they offer 280 bucks for someone to eat the whole thing in 28 minutes which is prolly impossible for an average Joe. The breadsticks were good too and were normal sized. Such a great experience coming here. The staff were all very nice checked on us and made sure we were enjoying the food. The menu is easy to read and has good options. Pizza tasted amazing they also provide red pepper, Parmesan, and herbs to add to your pizza. You're given two plates to fit the huge pizza slices! I recommend pushing the pizza off the edge of the plates as you eat it makes it much easier to eat. The ambiance is fun lots of art and cute decor. Whoa. These slices are HUGE!!! My sister brought me here while visiting, she said it's a must try place! It is in the perfect location right downtown near all of the cute shops and restaurants. And their hours are perfect for those out on the town! Being from NY pizza is in our blood. The slices are not just HUGE but also delicious. I ordered the caprese slice, and I couldn't believe that every slice was $5! So cheap! And I ate every single bit of that massive slice. I have loved Benny's pizzas for almost 10 years now, and the OG plain cheese pizza still hits the spot today as it did when I enjoyed my first slice in Roanoke VA. Crust is thin and crispy, not weighed down by ingredients or grease. Garlic slice was absolutely delicious! I cannot wait for the loaded baked potato slice to make a comeback. $5 is a bargain for how large one slice is. My only suggestion is blending the vegetables a little better into the "Garden Special" pizza instead of just sitting on top. read more

First off, these slices aren't 'huge'. Maybe I'm just a NYC snob, but this is a regular slice in NYC (as it should be evywhere). The crust is like a thin slice of plastic; it had a nice crunch but that was about it .... It was too thin. We also bought a pie to take home. I was able to carry a 28" pie with one hand... ONE HAND!! I do #CrossFit, but a real 28" pie should require two hands and not be aerodynamic. To me the flavor of the pizza comes from the sauce ... This one had none. How do you make a pizza without sauce?!?! I really wanted to see what the hype was all about. Honestly, there is better tasting pizza in Winchester (King's at the Mall for example). I guess at 2 or 3AM if you're drunk and need something to soak up the alcohol, this may be the spot. But at $5 a slice (pepperoni), I think I'll just buy another beer and call it a night. read more

Being from NYC I have eaten pizza in all 5 boroughs from "legends" of pizza. When I saw a guy walk out of Benny Meleto's with that giant box I had to know what it was all about. We stopped in Winchester on our way home from Tennesee with no thought of having pizza. We actually ate Thai food for dinner. I just couldn't not get that giant pizza. Ordered the big pie. Ate it in the car on the way home. This thing is not a gimmick. Great dough that made a really tasty crispy crust and base for the sauce and abundance of cheese. Normally pizza sauce outside NYC is loaded with oregano which can be overwhelming imo. Just a damn good pizza despite it's size. Open a Benny's here pls! read more

Love this place! I used to go to the one in Blacksburg, and I am so excited they opened this one. The pizza is always good and you get a lot for the price. The full pizzas are perfect for a party, or to feed a large family. The seating is limited, so it's better to plan to take it to go. Definitely try it! read more

The slices actually equal two slices of pizza. The first thing you will notice the seating is limited. They have a good selections of drinks, I believe they serve 7 styles of pizza as far as we could tell. Garden State which is spinach ricotta and garlic, Road Runner chicken fiesta corn, and salsa, or you can choose sausage or sriracha sausage, basic pepperoni. First time eating in this establishment. I suggested this to my Wife and we both agreed this place is awesome. The atmosphere is like being in New York city's old pizzeria. The price is pretty decent and the staff is friendly. Although the seating area is limited, we don't care. The pizza tasted great. Just moved to the area so was looking for a local place to support. Well, I found it. They have a charming store front in the historical area of Winchester. Inside looks old (not dirty), kinda brought me back to NYC and a small pizza shop you find on the corner. Staff was friendly. Oh, and the PIZZA?! We underestimated the size of these bad boyz. I never write restaurant reviews but this time I feel it is a must. Do not waste your money here! Even if the pizza was fresh it still would have been bland at best. Paid $38 for a large and you are only paying for the novelty of it. There is nothing good about this pizza. It has very thin crust, almost no sauce and it was equally lacking cheese. Absolutely no taste! I ordered ahead and the pizza had to have been sitting all day. It was inedible. Ate about half a slice only because I was starving and the rest was so old it was too hard to chew. Only went here because everyone said how delicious it was and my son is a huge pizza lover.
