We've been going to PJ Bonifacio for years whenever we would need body repairs. PJ Bonifacio is very reliable, their work is always very good, and the prices are very reasonable. I went to caliber collision for a simple bumper replacement and got quoted $1500. Caliber Collision was going to change some parts that were not damaged. PJ Bonifacio repaired the bumper, had the car detailed, and charged me a third of the cost. Very highly recommended! read more

Somebody hit our rear bumper and their insurance, Mercury refused to pay for the damage to the paint job on our rear door. They limit the payment to the bumper. Seidner says they can not do anything about what the adjustor decides. This caused a much delay to the repairs as we try to explain our case to Mercury. We approached PJ to see if they can help. They reassured us that ALL the damage will be fixed. Sure enough they did an excellent job not only with the repairs but also deliver us a gleaming and clean car, inside and out. In the duration of the repair, PJ had all sorts of solutions to make the rental and return of the replacement car stress free. PJs people are all very kind and helpful. In the end, I asked if Mercury paid for the damaged door. No they did not. The work was done pro bono. Let us support these small businesses with a heart. something about his quote was very suspicious. i came in because my bumper had a few scratches from an accident i had a while back. asked for a quote and he said it will be $921.70 and that's labor, installment, etc. i asked why it was so expensive he said "well we have to remove the bumper, color match it, paint it, and then replace your bumper with a new one." WHY do you need to color correct it and paint it if you just said you were going to replace it? it seems like he was just asking for too much. and his explanation just didnt make sense. he's nice tho and filipino. read more

Worst auto body shop / mechanic ever. PJ is a shady business owner and irresponsible mechanic. I took my car in for an estimate. First off, they are overpriced. I already took my car to another body shop and they quoted me $975. PJ quoted me $2,500 which is 3 times more $$$ than the other body shop. He said they only use brand new OEM parts from the dealership........Well, why don't I just get the work done at the dealership then, Hello? Second, this guy actually BROKE my hood while checking the car so the hood would not close anymore. Then he goes, OOPS LET ME FIX IT, grabs a plastic piece of skinny tie to tie up my hood to the car and told me it would be ok if i drove off. I trusted him, thinking he was a car professional. Two blocks down my hood flipped open and damaged the fenders and the hood itself. I was nervous and scared as this was the first time something like this has ever happened to me. I called PJ to ask if he could come help me since it was around 5 and they were about to close the shop, and you know what he did? He told me I should have drove more carefully and fucc'n hung up on me...HE HUNG UP ON ME, doesn't even bother. If i could give this place negative stars, I would. Please, save yourselves money and time and go to another auto body shop. I can't believe businesses like this still exists. read more

Had a fender and bumper bender, took my Infiniti g35 in to get it fixed. Came back in 2 days with the bender looking totally new. Smooth like a babies butt new. It was a repair not a replacement which impressed me a lot. Came back completely surprised that my car was also detailed inside and out, under the hood and headlights included. With the floor mat to top it off. My car was so messy, I intended to clean it after the repair, so it was a great surprise. Awesome stuff! Will always look to Peejay for auto body needs. THIS RATING AND REVIEW WAS LONG OVERDUE... IT IS A LOT TO READ BUT HOPEFULLY HELPFUL AND KEEP YOU FROM GETTING RIPPED OFF!!! It was a few years ago when I took my '91 Civic Si to PJ's shop and have it repaired. I decided to take my business to PJ because he came highly recommended by a friend that had his Integra custom painted by them. The fact that he was a fellow Filipino made me decide to support him even more. I had my car repaired by them after a minor accident that required some bodywork and paint on the right side fender and hood. Right side tie rod was snapped and needed to be replaced. A couple of days go by and they tell me the springs needed to be replaced. Mind you I had H&R Springs and Tokico Blues already. I just told them to go ahead with what needed to be replaced to fix it since my insurance was picking up the tab. The following day I get a call from them saying the car was ready and good to go. I asked PJ if it was road tested and all, he said "Yes, we always road test vehicles after structural or mechanical repairs have been performed." Happy as can be because the car was repaired so quickly, I get there within the next hour or so. I signed the papers and get the keys, shake PJ's hands and got in the car and drove off. As soon as I get the car on the street and drove in a straight line the steering wheel was off by 90 degrees from straight!!! To top it off there was a nasty grinding and vibration coming from the right front quarter of the car! So I turn back around and headed right back to the shop, told them what was up. PJ, in the mean time had already left and I had to leave the car again. The person that was there says "They'll look into it first thing in the morning". Disappointed, I headed home. I get a phone call the following morning from the shop (not PJ) saying they made a mistake and installed the wrong parts! Really?!?! WTF?!?! I thought you guys road tested your cars after a repair!!! They promised to have it ready that same afternoon. I told them not to rush, just make sure the repairs are done properly even if it takes longer. I get a call a few hours later, the car is ready. I pick it up and everything seems in order and the car drove straight and steering wheel was centered, no grinding or vibrations. Cool! So I thought... I couple of years go by and the car started acting weird whenever I go over a slight dip or bump. The car would just slam hard against the suspension like it had none, just bottoms out but not scraping. I had a friend that knows cars to check it out and come to find out the springs PJ's shop installed had collapsed and was not even made for my car!!! They did not offer to give back my H&R springs or at least the three good ones after the repairs and it's safe to assume now that there was nothing wrong with my H&R springs and that they just jacked it from me!!! BE CAREFUL IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING TO USE PJ BONIFACIO AUTO BODY!!!!!! read more

This shop deserves a 0 star rating. They are, simply put, liars and crooks. I brought my Lexus in last week (04/20/2015) for a minor repaint of the rear bumper cover (about $350). The car had no issues before bringing it in, no body panel had ever been removed and all electronics were in working order. The car looked good at first glance. However, after bringing it hope and taking a closer look, there was chipping paint already. The corner of the bumper had much thicker paint where it looks like it was running. Newly painted bumpers should not have chipping paint or uneven paint. The rear parking sensor was no longer operational. The driver side portion of the rear bumper no longer sat flush to the rear quarter panel. The tab for the bumper had been broken off, and reattached with some scrap plastic and screws. There's about a 1/2 in gap now. After confronting PJ about this, his response was that all the damage was caused by whatever caused the scrape in the first place. This is a complete and utter lie. I had never removed the rear bumper, let alone replaced broken tabs with scrap plastic attached by a few screws. PJ removed the bumper and said the parking sensor had broken, another lie. The parking sensor was working fine prior to taking the car in nor did make a constant whine while in reverse. One word of advice, stay away from this place. Liars and crooks reside here. To whoever said PJ paints show cars...eek! Methinks not. I'll post photos when I get the chance. read more

I've been to PJ Bonifacio Autobody a long time ago and had good service as I remembered. I was apprehensive going back again as I read through the recent YELP reviews. So, I to got two other estimates for my son's damaged Lexus ES300 it was costing ($4,200 & $4,500) about the cost of the value of the vehicle ($5,000). PJ estimated way less than half of the two other estimates which was very reasonable especially for a 15 year old car. And so, I gave him another chance. PJ repaired/replaced the hood, the grill, the structural bar that's holding the radiator, the broken lights, and the bumper. Matching two tone paint for the bumper, painted the grill and the hood. He promised 10 days to get it done. 10 days later, everything was fixed, the hood, the grill, the lights, and the bumper looked new and matching the original color of the vehicle. Every detail on the repair/replacement was done properly and professionally. It was good as new! On top of that, PJ had a professional detail company cleaned and waxed the whole car, made the tires and chrome wheels shiny. The other front lights that was not damaged but had oxidation was also cleaned and the oxidation was taken out. And on top of that, the interior was so clean, so shiny, the carpets were spotless, the seats were good as new, and it smelled new. I've never seen my son's messy and dirty car like this before! I was happy and impressed!!! PJ didn't charge extra for the professional detail work and in fact, he gave me a discount from his estimate I think because I was a returning customer. Overall, I gave PJ 5 Stars because of his professionalism, PJ and his employee's great customer service, quality and detail of workmanship, and the extra service of making the car look new without me asking for it. I really appreciated that! And yes, I do recommend PJ Bonifacio Auto Body to my friends and family, and I will return again. read more

This is my second time going to PJs shop I dropped off my car to have the front bumper repaired and repainted. I was thinking it would probably be a week, PJ calls me 3 days later to let me know it's ready. I head over to his shop he had the whole car detailed inside and out at no extra cost ! The car looks amazing. There are lots of body shops out there that are quick to make money off you and this is not one of them the quality of the work is amazing PJ took the the time to show me how the paint matching process works and talking with him is like talking to a friend not a shady body shop guy that try's to get every penny out of you. I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for that being said the work wasn't cheap but if it was I would have been worried. I'll be coming back here for sure. read more

Awesome quality work for a fair price. I said fair, not cheap. In his lot and in front of his shop, there are plenty of beautiful cars. Classics and quite a few I have a feeling should belong in a trailer. The beauty of it is, they are not. These look like daily driven cars that have been beautifully restored (Classic Japanese Cars). Once inside the office, you can see plenty of his works in magazines blown up and framed. The guys here even cleaned out most of my engine bay when I brought in my WRX for a door ding. I don't mean a normal wipe down of a daily driven car. I had just taken my baby through the mud up in Big Bear and had mud running back out the seams by my headlights. I was getting all my gear out to clean it out when I discovered his guys actually took care of everything. He didn't even mention it when I went to settle my bill with him. Since then, I have brought back a few of my family cars to get minor body work done. Can't wait to get one of the toys restored here. read more

Took my Subaru Forester here to get front passenger door bodywork. They were able to finish it in a timely manner, did a great job on my door, and were easy to work with. so i heard of this place ever since i was in high school and it was the place to get your car done up at. I have had numerous friends recommend this place to me so i gave it a try to get my whole ride painted. So i told him what color i wanted and what i wanted to be done on the car specifically putting on my side-markers. I said i didn't need the car to be done anytime soon and that he can take his time. When i came in to see the paint i noticed he didn't put on the side markers and now it was too late to drill them in cause he already painted it. To top it off he lost them until i kept bugging him and he said he just misplaced it. Next when I'm going to pick up my car I find it unacceptable to take home as a bunch of body parts are not aligned properly. I literally had to make him a list of things that he had to redo. I can tell he rushed it as he kept saying he needed space for cars coming in. Overall I love the color although there are imperfections like white paint that somehow got past the paint room. One of my friends also got his bumper painted here and one trip up to the mountains on a snowy day ripped all his paint off. Why? because he didn't use any primer. Honestly he does good work...if your car is gonna be in a magazine or show with his name on it. If I could go back and choose a place to paint my car this place wouldn't be on my list. read more

This review has been long over due. I had PJ paint my 2000 Camry a few years ago since it was in a accident. I have seen PJs work on all the import magazines. He has painted a lot of my friends cars that are show car from hot import nights and import show off. Very disappointed with the work. Paint started chipping, panel gas were wrong, and color match was horrible. Tried to bring it back, but gave me the run around. I took it to 20/20 down the street me explained or me that he did not use any primer that is why the paint was chipping. I guess if it is not a show car being premiered in a magazine he will do crappy work. read more

Had my car repaired at this shot several years back. Picked up the car at dawn, so couldn't really tell when the color was off. Weeks later, my friend asked me if I had my car repainted it, the white color was off. It should be pure/ snow white instead it looks like a blob of cream white on the lower panel of the car. Worst, I left a air filter in the trunk, when I picked up the car, it was gone. Ask PJ, he walked around the shop and back in about 10 sec, said "No, nobody from the shop saw it...." He jacked up my car through the radiator support and now theres a gap between my front bumper and hood..When confronting him about it he said it was always there due to my bent chassis..Come on now i know my car inside out and as small as that thing was to him, it was a big thing to me because my car never had it untill he did it..Horrible paint job too, beware he doesnt primer the area being worked on or atleast he didnt do it for my front lip and side skirts..My buddy who has taken his 95 RX7 paid $5000 for a paint job on the whole car and now the paint is chipping, looks like he didnt primer it..Also have another buddy that went there to get his front bumper painted, same deal paint started chipping off out of no where..PJ only takes care of your car if he knows its gonna be in a magazine shoot..DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more
