Neighborhood drop in for a quick coffee date. Why? Because anything that has NEW ORLEANS in the name....BeBey...if you know you KNOW. The options for coffee; tea both hot and cold was extensive. Muffins; scones biscuit sandwiches and stuff were also plentiful. The star of the show? You already know...BEIGNETS! Light, airy, warm. The outside sweet from the powdered sugar. The inside so delicate... I could have eaten a dozen. A perfect compliment to the coffee. So delicious and smooth. No bite or bitterness whatsoever. Warming down to the bones. Traffic in this little spot was popping. Folks coming in and out. There was a comfy couch area and a few students studying. Quiet and inviting. Order at the kiosk and they'll call your name like that other coffee place. Sit back and enjoy your time and your choice. They even have some Banana Fosters drinks on the menu for the full NOLA experience. Put this one on your list.

Pj's Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops in NOLA. I love having a location here in Camps Springs. The staff is friendly and the location is clean. The coffee tastes amazing too! The drive through and free parking is an added bonus! I'll be back whenever I'm in the area.

I usually go to the Laurel PJ's, but decided to swing by Camp Springs. The inside was packed, so I hit the drive-through instead. Even with the rush, the young lady taking orders was friendly and upbeat. Service took a little longer than usual, but understandable with that crowd. My iced drink was on point, and the hot one was smooth and tasty--just needed a touch more sweetness. Overall, solid experience and I'd definitely come back!

Pjs coffee hosted a speed friending event I cohosted two weeks ago . The owner was great . The venue is specious , it has community posts, and very clean. Parking is plenty,

The service and beignets are wonderful! The ham & cheese croissant was not good. It appeared more like a puff pastry thus not crispy like a croissant and a bit soggy. I LOVED how sugary, flaky, and warm the beignets were for my first time experience eating those. I now have a comparison point if I visit New Orleans. Wi-Fi was great and it's a very spacious coffee shop with a drive-thru in a pretty neighborhood full of convenient quality salons, eateries, etc. Go, enjoy!

So normally I am a Dunkin girl but I stopped her to see what their coffee is like. I'm almost ready to switch sides lol. Coffee was strong & tasty. Then I noticed they had Beignets. I order them immediately and was so surprised they were hot, fresh and soooooo good. Although it was literally minutes until closing time the staff was extremely pleasant, funny and did not rush me. They were sooo great. They even let me and my friend sit for a few minutes while they cleaned up and closed down. The cafe was cute & very clean. Will definitely make my way there again.

The Staff is very friendly and nice! But the drinks sometimes fall short and aren't as great. The chai tastes watery unfortunately even when we got extra. The chocolate muffin warmed is my favorite literally tastes like chocolate cake. The beignets were ok didn't care for them. It's always clean inside and I appreciate that! I just hope the drinks get better and the staff works the kinks out. Seemed like a bit more training was needed before opening.

    Never going here again.

Imagine driving to work and enjoying your coffee when all of a sudden a large glob of jelly enters your mouth. Very disgusting! when I opened my cup I saw multiple glob looking things.

Medium Vanilla Velvet Ice and beignet.
    Ang B.

I ordered a medium Vanilla Velvet Ice and the beignet. This is the 2nd time I've ordered coffee here and *chef's kiss*. I only order their ice/"frozen" coffee though since I can easily make my own hot coffee and espressos. I also got a fresh batch of beignet so it was warm and soft on the outside with a nice crunch and amount of sugar (imo) on the outside. One of my new favorite coffee spots.

First Fridays are clearly a big deal there because the place was packed, the Gogo band was good, and the atmosphere was fun. I ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table and ordered a drink for myself, a drink for my cousin, and some shrimp. The food and drinks were actually good, so I can definitely see why people like coming here. What frustrated me was the pricing and gratuity situation. After looking at the menu, I saw it mentioned a 20% gratuity for parties of four or more, so I didn't think that applied to me since I was sitting at the bar with no table. I even asked the waitress if I could order food at the bar and she said yes, but nobody explained there would still be an automatic gratuity added. The drinks were $12 each and the bang bang shrimp were $13, so I was confused when my total came out to almost $50 and not realizing I added additional to the tip. I had to ask for the receipt multiple times before I finally saw the gratuity charge unbeknownst to me. I think the restaurant/menu needs to be a lot more upfront and clear about when gratuity is automatically added... and that's whether it's for First Fridays, live bands, bar service, or anything else. Being surprised by service fees, automatic gratuity or any hidden fee not clearly mentioned, for me, can leave a bad impression even when the food and atmosphere are good. As a small business, there are already stereotypes and complaints people make about hidden fees and pricing, and situations like this unfortunately don't help that narrative. With that said, I still plan to come back because I genuinely enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. I just wish the pricing and gratuity policies were communicated more clearly from the beginning... especially in this economy!

We entered, admired the artwork around the room and were seated immediately to talk further what we liked about it. We were first greeted by our server Tess, who introduced herself & gave us menus. We searched a little, of course hawk-eyed other tables to see what others ordered... and Tess came back a few minutes later to take our drink orders. We got some waters, iced tea, lavender lemonades, and a mimosa flight for the table... but for a Sunday (what I would expect to be a busy day; a day of POST-prep) we received not 1 but 2 dirty glasses that we had to send back. Additionally, it took us over 20 minutes to get not one the flight but the simple nonalcoholic lavender lemonade to the table and was never told what the delay was about. The owner Tiess (I hope I spelled that right) did walk around with a smile, and to greet the table. All tables, and that is always appreciated and noticed by me. We did express to her our concerns and she did ensure us that we'd be taken care of. Tess grabs our orders and later our food comes out. I have been to Milk & Honey before in Bowie, and I say that because I don't remember their menu being so "busy". The grits and fried green tomatoes as an example of said "busy" items. Overall, the food was okay. Their potatoes were overcooked said 1-party, while as previously stated, another party said their grits and the fried green tomatoes were too busy. Not that it was good or bad, just... busy. Too much going on. I personally had the whiting and it was the star of the meal. My side of (plain ol) grits came out and I appreciated them being plain....they were just cold. So... 3 it is. Last few things : 1. Please note that there is a 1.5hour wait time. 2. There is a dj. 3. There is outside covered seating available, overlooking part of the upcoming surrounding shopping center and parking lot. 4. An 18% gratuity is entered for orders over $150.

It's a clean and quiet space in a busy neighborhood with plenty of street parking available. It's very modern with conference rooms and plenty of outlets for convenience (and with a separate nook for card holders). As soon as I walked in Joni gave me a very thorough rundown as well as a latte on the house for it being my first time! I thought that was a great gesture. It was fairly empty for late afternoon (2/3p) so I hung out for a few hours and then another ambassador named Mike was gracious enough to bless me with another latte on the house. Everyone was so welcoming and went above and beyond imo when it came to checking on customers. Now the lattes - the first was the iced Honey Lavender Latte. Perfect! I'm not a coffee drinker at all so I ordered this based off of my love of chai lattes. It was a little strong, but not overpowering with some sweetness to it. I got a hot Chai latte later on since the a/c was on full blast - the chai was also a little overpowering - almost too spicy tasting. If they even this out with the milk it'd be perfect. After 2 unexpected comp'd drinks and an inviting atmosphere, I can say this is a great place to hang out and get some work done. I'll return for one of their events and see if the vibe is different but for now, it's added to the list!

So I took it upon myself to stop by & get some cookies for myself and my parents before I departed for IL a few weeks ago. The ever so popular cookie flavor there is the prized Snickerdoodle cookies. So, of course, I took it upon myself to order a few. I ordered about 8 cookies for $5 or $10 (apparently, they do not allow ordering by the half dozen nor dozen, but by the eights. Such as 8, 16, etc ). I was a bit judgy & hesitant because the cookies were almost razor thin, and I was used to thicker, regular sized cookies. But as soon as I took a bite, I was shook haha they were so moist, soft, and delightful. Crunchy exterior but the right amount of crunch that it doesn't take away from the softness/moisture. The right amount of sugar and cinnamon. I think what makes this different from other Snickerdoodle cookies is perhaps the thinness and (I THINK, I could be wrong) the possible shortening base. They were so good, I decided not to be selfish and go back in to order my parents some to try I will say since it's been a while since I've been to Iverson Cookies, I got a bit lost because I could not find an entrance point (I'll be honest: I forgot haha ). The entrance point is between Mama Lucia and Chipotle. If you have bad eye vision like me, you'll have to walk up closer to notice. On Yelp and the physical establishment, it's listed as "The Great Cookie." On Google Maps, it's listed as Iverson Cookies. There's plenty of parking. The best way to get there is to drive or Uber. I am unsure if one can Metro there.
