I've now visited Gigi's at least 4 times now. each time the staff is welcoming, patient and provides great suggestions. Each coffee beverage I've tried is delicious and they have happily made any accommodations that I've requested. I will continue to visit during my lunchtime walks. As a coffee lover, I'm so glad it opened on this side of the river. It's been a great addition to the area!

I love this cute place! I love the variety of matcha and the bullfrog bagels are an added touch. With no coffee shops in our area this one is too clutch

Capitol View finally has the coffee shop we've been waiting for. The lavender latte is a must try, and I love that they've expanded the largest iced coffee size. Even their new house-made pumpkin spice syrup won me over and I'm not usually a pumpkin fan. They also offer food items, including vegan and gluten-free options sourced from local vendors. A local bakery: Bullfrog Bagels, served with cream cheese if you'd like. The café-style seating is a plus too which is great for getting work done or simply people watching through the large front window. Thoughtful touches, great flavors, and a welcoming vibe make this a true neighborhood gem.

We are so happy to have Gigi's! Being the only coffee shop East of the River, we love they decided to open where food and amenities are scarce. Their service is excellent and I got the chance to speak to the owner, who was so sweet! Look forward to visiting again and again!

    Aesthetically pleasing environment.

The lavender matcha was amazing, and the blueberry coconut loaf was full of flavor! Super quick service and a cute, cozy spot for a quick breakfast treat.

Very nice staff, strong cold brew. I would return. I'm very excited about a coffee shop being in our neighborhood.

Beautifully organized, colorful, and decorated space offering a wide variety of books, local gifts, and artisan goods + crafts. I bought "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyasi thanks to the thoughtful "staff pick" recommendations they have on little notecards for various reads around the store. They even have a dedicated children's area with a little play space for kiddos, and a cafe serving up baked goods and beverages for purchase. Highly recommend visiting this local neighborhood gem.

On a Thursday evening it was very easy for me to find parking right up front and pay the meter for an hour. The event started on time and we were able to do a Q&A with the authors (who are now NY best sellers, woot woot). After the Q&A we all stood in line to get our books signed. Everything was well organized so the line went by quickly. Kristely at the front desk was super helpful and also helped me out with a glass of wine. This will definitely be my new hangout spot to come and enjoy a drink while I indulge in a new book or two. Thank you so much Solid State for a memorable experience.

Their menu is simple with all the espresso classics, but they also had some interesting drinks that I wanted to try. I got the ELDERBERRY MATCHA since I was curious about the combination. The barista recommended whole milk (or non-dairy milk) since it doesn't take away from the elderberry and matcha flavors as much as non-dairy milk, and I completely agreed! The elderberry syrup popped through the matcha and it wasn't too sweet! The drink overall was very enjoyable and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. I'm glad I stopped by to give this cafe a try this past Saturday afternoon.

Their iced Vietnamese latte is pretty good during the summer time... and I've also tried hot Vietnamese latte, which is alright and pretty much an average taste. They usually have a rotating flavor for latte specials such as matcha latte or elderberry matcha latte for example. They are not too bad and just unique. But I'd settle down for a regular latte instead of being adventurous on different tasting from this coffee shop. Alternative milk costs about extra $0.75 if you desire something more than just milk in your latte, just for your information. Service is quick and simple. The barista is friendly and interactive when you order something.

Everything here is pretty good. But the Mexican food was just okay (beans and cheese dip tasted canned/powdered), while the tacos were pretty standard. But my partner enjoyed having his coffee and juice here as well as the pizza. Overall we really enjoyed the concept of this place -- the shared community space, the tall ceilings, and the fast and seamless ordering system. You can order at any kiosk/stand, but it's better to grab a table, sit down, and order from the unique link you scan from each table's unique QR code link, and they bring the food to you. It's a model ahead of its time but one that makes it easy to order your food (though I can see the drawbacks like having to order once you get to the building since there are unique QR codes that prevent you from ordering food when you're not there. I honestly would give the food closer to 4 stars, but my partner had such positive experiences at this place that I am giving it 5 stars.
