I usually leave reviews after I've been to an establishment several times but today calls for an exception. I was so pleased with the customer service from the staff at PJ's. As soon as I walked in I was greeted kindly and because it was my first time the staff was patience with me as I browsed the menu selections. The area I live in is without internet due to the storm and I really needed to find a place that I could work for several hours today. PJ's Coffee is it! I'm new to the city and this is certainly a place I will frequent often because of the service I received today. The magazine street location is spacious and has multiple rooms that you can work from. I really loved the large courtyard in the back. It has beautiful decor and lighting and seating for smaller and large groups. Thank you for making my morning and sharing your space today.

This PJs is one of my family's all time favorite spots to gather and chat over coffee!!! My dad grew up on Jefferson nearby, so growing up, when this Pjs came to town on Mag, we were soooooo excited!!! It's been the best ever since!!! I have coffee with my immediate and extended fam there all the time! They have a spacious interior in the back, front house seating, a few small tops out front along beautiful magazine, and a large courtyard patio in the back when the weather is just right for enjoying the outdoors. Staff is always friendly and helpful! Coffee is top notch, we love it, always!!! Thanks PJs for all of your special locations, and especially for this wonderful one that our family enjoys so often! 100/10, 10000 stars if I could!!! I'll be back, like tomorrow. P.s. look for Starfish the Opossum Polaroid on the cork board! She's my niece

This was my first time at this PJ's location, and it did not disappoint! The ambiance is really cool; it looks like it used to be a house, and it is very spacious on the inside once you walk to the back of the shop. I got an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Almond Milk and a shot of espresso--it was really good but all the add-ins did make it a little pricey. However, it was worth it, and I will be coming back!

I work in the area, so I am in all the time. The coffee is great and the people are amazing. I am able to bring my dog in with me. She looks forward to getting a dog treat out of the jar next to the register. I look forward to the mean latte they make there...it gets this caffeine junky though the morning! The best part are the people! Margaret, Brooke, the two Daves, and Aubrey...I see them all the time and they are always friendly and genuine! I love this PJs and you will

Really grateful that this coffee shop is dog-friendly (even has dog treats at the counter). It's a great space and has a wonderful backyard area. Service is not always as great/efficient as other PJs locations, but the ability to stop in with my dog during a walk more than makes up for that!

This PJ's is nestled in a tiny location near Life Yoga and across the street from a more obvious Community Coffee. Once you find it, it's worth it. You will most likely have difficulty parking around this area but there are some cool shops nearby that you can checkout after your PJs visit. I like that as you walk in there are a few seats near the counter, but then you can walk up the stairs to another room with more seating and then go even further back into a room with a couch, tv, and more tables. I love coffee shops with comfy seating like couches. Note: definitely choose to sit inside- one big downfall of this location is that the two tables outside are next to an alley with large trash cans that are stinky, stinky, stinky. I also left being covered in mosquito bites after 30 minutes. While I was here the other day, the espresso machine was being fixed (or maybe just maintained). So, I settled for an ice coffee and after adding four sugars I would give it a three out of five. Not awful tasting, not great either. I found that they make their chai from a syrup (yuck!) and was not impressed with that. There were minimal snacks and pastries when I was there- i'm not sure if they had run out of if they just usually only have a few items. (see my photos). I will definitely check back and update the review. I ordered a sesame bagel and was told that they are brought over from a local bakery! The bagels were rock hard and I was surprised that they would sell them to me like that. (okay they got a little better after being toasted). I was offered little tubs of creamed cheese and it's a do-it-yourself toasting situation. Takes credit cards including Amex!

Spinach and Feta Croissant also comes with artichoke!

Now let's talk about breakfast: Weekday around lunch. About 1/4 of seats taken. As best I could tell, 2 or 3 servers. Coffee, OJ and soda brought promptly after ordering. FYI - drinks reasonably priced. I opted for Spinach & Swiss omelette, hash browns well done and biscuit. He opted for Meatlover's omelette, hash browns and toast. 25 minutes later breakfast was served. Husband's order was fine: tasty omelette, and the toast was well buttered. Mine? The Swiss was sticking out of the omelette and it was a slice not melted. The cheese inside the omelette was melted, and overall it had good flavor. The hash browns had good flavor, but they were not well done. The biscuit was not buttered - there was butter on the table - and it was nice and dense to support slathering it in jelly. The waitress checked on us a couple of times. I made no comment whether it was good or bad, because I was going to eat it anyway. As a general rule I don't send things back, and in this instance given the time it took to get it, I was starved and certainly wasn't sending it back. Leftovers box and checkout was super quick. This experience: 2 stars; averaging to 4 stars for restaurant overall. Will continue to use for pastries, but won't be back for another sit down experience.

The first drink I tried was excellent--a pumpkin spice latte with coconut or oat milk, I don't remember. The spices were on point and it was nice and frothy and perfectly sweet. Maybe no one buys enough decaf to warrant a fresh pot more than once a day, but please, for the love of God, don't serve it if the carbon has reached these levels. I couldn't even drink it. I took two sips and chucked it. Hopefully they'll eventually convince me, because it's such a cute spot and so close to home, but as of now I'm still luke warm about it.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
