Transitioning between the Garden and Warehouse Districts, Jamie W and I were looking for a respite during our NOLA walkabout before heading to Willie Mae's for her legendary fried chicken. Spacious with a boho vibe, this was the ideal spot for us to discover at the end of our Magazine Street stroll. Tables were well spaced from each other, so laptoppers get their privacy. Us too, so there. We ordered a couple of refreshing $3.50 Iced Cafe au Laits (Photo 9) and parked ourselves at a table close to the restroom. Wise move because it might as well have a revolving door for how often it was being used. We hung out for a surprisingly long time for tourists. Credit us for not buying any of their tempting baked goods like the pistachio financier. We had fried chicken in our imminent future. This is a great little spot. They had a hot burritos, pastries, and biscuits and eggs with sausage of course coffee I got the pour over. I never had it. It was really nice. They got Wi-Fi plenty of room very much. A local spot got a lot of variety and it's on magazine so you can do a lot recommended. Thanks for a good little snack. The homemade hot sauce is recommended. This is one my favorite locally roasted coffee spot, and my favorite of all the Mojo locations. I love their strawberry cream cheese pastry-- It is to DIE for. I also love the red beans burrito, and the hot sauce on the side is so tasty (and really spicy lol.) The atmosphere is nothing crazy, but I do see a lot of people working/studying here every-time i visit - lots of table space, but seats fill up quickly! It's also dog friendly so give your pup a treat at the counter!! AND one of my favorite parts is you can get the Antigravity magazines here for free. I love Mojo! It is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. The location on Freret is perfect, and it's a great spot to study or get some work done while sipping on a delicious drink. Worth a try if you're around the area. It's a good, standard coffee spot. The inside space is huge and I saw a few people working there so definitely a good spot to get some stuff done. It's a bit of a darker vibe with the dark wood and less natural light flowing in but still welcoming. I got the nola iced coffee which is their cold brew with chicory and cream. I got it unsweetened and didn't feel like it needed sweetener, which is good. Others in my group got lattes which they enjoyed as well as a danish and a breakfast burrito. Today I started the New Orleans Café passport book and Mojo was my first stop. The book recommended the Maple Cinnamon Latte but they currently don't have the maple flavor, I think they only carry it in the fall. I ordered a Large Banana's Foster Latte instead and the barista warned me that it has 6 shots of espresso! That definitely got me buzzing!! The Banana's Foster Latte (Hot) is great, it has that roasted or caramelized flavor to it. I will definitely be back in the fall to try the Maple Cinnamon Late. read more

A chilled interior, jazzy music, I think. Nice deep, dark woods and decor. Music is playing in the background, but feels laid back and gives off a calm environment. We ordered a 20 ounce oat milk latte (comes with 6 shots of espresso) and a 12 ounce jasmine green tea. $11.02. The lattes here are strong here, appropriately shot dosed based on the size of your coffee cup size here, well done, that's how it should be. Drinks were out in less than 5 minutes, that's not too bad. The oat milk latte here is good, the jasmine green tea isn't bad either. We got coffee -- and sometimes breakfast burritos -- here every day while staying in the neighborhood for a week over Christmas. The staff were very friendly and quickly welcomed my husband and our dog every morning as new friends. Coffee including espresso drinks (flat white for him, latte for me) were always delicious. There's also a really wide selection of interesting sweet and savory pastries on offer. On our last day, we finally caved and got a Nutella croissant, which was delicious. My wife and I stopped in here on a Sunday evening while we were killing time for our dinner reservation. The baristas were engaging and friendly, and they pulled some great shots! Typical for anything on Magazine Street, the parking was tough, but that's not a negative when it comes to good coffee, and Mojo definitely delivered. The roast was very smooth, with a few other flavor notes, and we thoroughly enjoyed our brews. She had a cortado, and was very pleased. I had my traditional americano, and wasn't disappointed at all. In my next visit I want to try one of their burritos... they have quite a selection. The crowd was low on a Sunday evening, but I can imagine the spot fills up during the week. My partner & I have worked from this Mojo (and the other on Feret), multiple times. The WiFi is fast, there's a lot of seating, lots of outlets, quiet enough to wfh because usually others are reading, studying, or doing the same! The staff is typically nice, the ambiance is inviting, and the pastries are quite good too! The last few time I had muffins they weren't dry (yay!) and had good flavor to them. While Mojo isn't my top coffee shop in new orleans, I still think it offers everything a person could want from a coffee shop! I'll be back. read more

New to the neighborhood from the French Quarter, so was open to trying a new coffee spot (other than French Truck, which was my go to for YEARS). Went once, had the matcha latte with lavender, no issues with the drink or vibe, so decided to try it again. Went this morning (at 7am), two baristas - 1 cleaning, 1 serving - and 1 customer, a white male who had concluded his transaction. Tony, the barista continued to chat with this guy as he slowly moved away from the counter as we (myself and my dog) approached. Tony continued to chat, tell this guy about other products, and then offered to show him the beans used for his coffee. He comes out from around the counter, which brings the guy back toward the counter. Meanwhile, we wait - unacknowledged - to place an order. The guy starts walking away from the counter again, but Tony insists on engaging, this time stepping past me, speaking to my dog, and following the guy halfway to the door. He returns to the register, acknowledging my dog again on his way back, but CONTINUES chatting with the guy. It's been about 4 minutes at this point with not a single good morning or acknowledgement since walking in (other than the greeting from the customer!). The customer felt so bad, he was visibly embarrassed by the circumstance and even said, "I'm all done, you get in there, it's your turn." Right, tell Tony that who obviously sees YOU as the most important person in the room. How disappointing an interaction to start your day. To be virtually invisible to the baristas in your neighborhood coffee shop. Back to French Truck Coffee I go where not only is the staff diverse and welcoming, but asks your name (and use it) and try to remember what you like. Mojo, if you don't emphasize the importance of hospitality and congeniality for ALL of your customers, the humanity and significance of all human beings, then just say that so folks like me can pass without these humiliating trial and error experiences. read more

I'm always looking to try new cafes whenever I travel and Mojo Coffee was one of the most recommended so I gave them a try. I'm so glad I did because it as great.
