Iced coffee with pumpkin cold foam, blueberry muffin (in the bag), chocolate covered coffee beans
    Patricia R.

I love this neighborhood PJ's. The service here is always friendly and my orders have always been correct. My go-to order is an iced coffee with their sweet cold foam. If you haven't had their sweet cold foam you really should give it a try. Right now they're also making pumpkin spiced cold foam, and it's amazing. Also, there's lots of available seating indoors and out. There are booths and tables that can accommodate single visitors or small groups. My other favorites: Blueberry muffins Frozen hot chocolate Chocolate covered coffee beans Any of their hot teas Any if their breakfast sandwiches It's a truly awesome coffee and light breakfast spot. :)

I generally stop at this location for a drink after a trip to City Park. Accessing the entrance to the parking lit can be a little tricky for me. The shared parking lot is located out in front of the store. There are booths inside, a few tables and also four or five tables outside too. I like the lounge area inside located to the left once you enter the store. This location is one of the few with a TV too. Service is always polite and courteous. Every once in a while I'll request a splash of the seasonal syrup with my chai latte. Never had an issue.

PJ's Coffee utilizes only the top 1% of Arabica Beans which is considered the best coffee bean in the world. The staff at this location (Canal Blvd.) is super friendly, patient, and helpful. The store draws in a lot of natural light, is spacious, and always clean. This location just underwent a renovation, so the decor is fresh and otherwise cozy. It's a perfect place to meet with friends or study.

Plenty of parking, free wifi, outdoor and indoor seating. The people working there are super nice.

I came to get what I usually get from PJ's, white chocolate macchiato . Always good always delicious. Friendly service. While there I noticed they had king cakes for sale. They get king cakes from Caluda's. They sell them whole or by the slice. They also sell the mini ones as well. That's good knowledge right there. And those chocolate muffins were sooooo tempting

Literally the best hot chocolate you can purchase. They make it with Ghiradelli! It's May in New Orleans and I'm drinking hot chocolate...enough said lol.

I'm not sure how many Coffee shops the Lakeview area can support, but P J's on Canal Blvd. is officially open for business; and I for one am actually glad, as it is in walking distance of my home. This particular P J's is located on the South side of I-10 in the building that used to occupy Plantation Coffee House and the only other coffee shop on this side of I-10 is Lakeview Brew; which happens to be less than 300 feet away. Regardless, I am a fan even after only one visit. Contrary to RD.'s comprehensive "one sentence review", I found the shop to have lots of empty seats on a Thursday afternoon. I did see a half dozen students, but I didn't see any "deadbeats". SOrry RD. However, being this close to Delgado Community College, there is always the chance of significant student activity. But kudos to PJ's for recognizing the niche that needed to be filled. This PJ's is brand new so everything looks great; especially the new slate floors. There's a flat screen tv on one wall and ample seating inside. Aside from the six 4-top tables and one 2-top table inside, there are also three booths, which are perfect for having coffee and conversations, as well as study sessions. There is also a seating area consisting of two lounge chairs and one love seat; which I plan on utilizing one lazy Sunday morning when I am not working. The condiment bar (sugar, cream , milk etc...) is huge. And this is good because I hate a crowded coffee shop whereby I have to wait in line just to get some sugar. In fact, it's so big that there's even a toaster and microwave oven for your convenience. Our barista was very friendly and had our coffees ready in just a matter of a few minuets. All P J's use the same local coffee which is roasted right here in the Big Easy, so there are no surprises here. There was also a nice selection of pastries, but I did not sample any on this visit. The place also seemed very kid friendly, as my 19 month old continually wanted to tell everyone hello (over and over). But hell, this isn't a friggin' library, so In my opinion, one should expect to hear chatter and conversations. Isn't that what coffee shops were originally intended for anyway?

This is a great little PJ's located close to City Park and the cemeteries, if you want to get some caffeine before enjoying a day of grave hopping (it's a thing). This location is pretty big compared to other PJ's locations, and there was a nice crowd when I was here at 9 am, on a Saturday, before a photo shoot at the park. They have a variety of snacks, as the other PJ's do and there is plenty of seating, including booths and nice sofas. There's even some seating outside, if you're in the mood to hang out on a nice day. The staff was friendly and the coffee was as consistent as it is with other PJ's location, making this spot a complete win.

Stopped here for coffee during a guided tour of New Orleans, prices were good and my beverage was good. Four stars because when I looked at the various branded cups to purchase there were no prices either on it or on the shelves, I checked several different cups.

The employees are nice and gave us plenty of time to look at the menu before we ordered. The space is bigger than I expected, with lots of seating areas, tables, and couches. There are also a lot of outlets anf the music is not too loud in my opinion, so I believe it is the perfect study spot. I ordered Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with oat milk and I am not the biggest fan of it. There was a weird sour after taste to the coffee which I am unsure where it is coming from. I imagine if it was a little sweeter, it may have been more enjoyable. When I sat down to start on some work, I tried to connect to the cafe wifi, having seen the password posted on a sheet of paper near the counter. The wifi gave me and my friend a couple issues when trying to connect. After about 5-10 minutes of errors and no internet signals, we decided to use out hotspots. We were eventually able to use the wifi after maybe 30 minutes, so if you are able to find a connection, it is fine but if you are unable to, it can be frustrating.

I'm not saying District Donuts did the same for me but I'm also not not saying that. This was only my second time here, but I already knew what I was coming back for: that almighty hot chicken & honey butter biscuit. If you don't know, it's a French toast-style biscuit with a 'hot' fried chicken breast and honey butter. Yeah... it's as crazy as it sounds. And yes it lives up to it. I'll admit--it was a little big-back of me to try to take that down solo, so I shared it.... This time We also tried a salmon kolache (really solid), and I grabbed a ramen kolache to go. Creative menu, that actually works, nothing feels like a gimmick, like it has become at Crumbl Cookies [yea they caught a stray] The space itself is clean, well-designed, and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They were even training a new hire while keeping everything moving smoothly, which says a lot. I enjoyed this place so much I ended up buying a shirt and a bag of $20 coffee. I never do that, but I needed to take something with me that I couldn't eat, just to represent some good food and my hometown. Some of the best breakfast-style food in the city, easily. This place earns its 5/5 every time. Also officially added to my "EAT NOLA" playlist.
