This is my go-to Starbucks in the city. I come here A LOT and I wouldn't keep coming back if I didn't think the service and drinks were spot on. Whether I'm just running in for a quick pick-me-up or I'm coming to hunker down for a few hours and study upstairs, it's always a great experience. It's also nice when you're on a first name basis with one of the employees. :) Anyway, everything I order comes out relatively fast and tastes great and I love the decor/ambience (and the fact that there's an upstairs). Worse employees and service!!! The most unprofessional people!!! The employees were arguing when I walked in they completely ignored me for the first 2 minutes that I was standing there waiting to be waited on!!! This is easily one of my favorite Starbucks. Whenever I order via phone, my drink is always ready with no mistakes. The staff is pleasant and they work quickly. Also, I adore the location since it is near where I work, and it is always on the cleaner side considering that some many students hang out there. Although the students are well behaved and quite pleasant, I don't think I'll be there working. read more

This use to be old village coffee. I love that Starbucks took this place over. It's always so busy! The staff here is extremely friendly and always working hard. I come here about 2-3 times a week. There's an upstairs area that I see students study all the time so this place is constantly full. I'm happy to see that it's doing well. You pretty much have to find street parking because their lot is always full (6-7 cars). There's plenty! read more

Baristas were kind of rude when they had to brew a new green tea even though I already paid for it and wasn't aware it was out before hand.. it took her all of 5 minutes while she was complaining to her coworkers in back about it and I could overhear.. I didn't realize brewing tea was so hard!! Asked for no sweetener and she repeated it back to me and confirmed and put "no classic" on the label BUT then she put sweetener in it - not sure if she was annoyed that she had to brew a new green tea batch? I wish the staff was happier read more

Great food. Occasionally they do not have almond or oat milk. This becomes frustrating when my vegan friend wants a coffee and it is not very possible. I wish they would stock up more. I love Starbucks, but also enjoy sitting down to enjoy my meal, there Is not much seating at this location. Overall, I'll still always come back, but I would like more stock in popular items. read more

The most important thing to know about this Starbucks is that it's super busy in the morning and the best thing to do is place a mobile order. They are friendly enough and I do love the outdoor seating. Parking can be a bit rough but I've never had to walk more than a block and a half. read more

Here's the tea. I usually go to local nola cafe's just because I prefer their authenticity, charm, and local brews and grub. BUT I occasionally frequent SB's. And I need these in a cafe: good coffee, vibe, coziness, privacy, tables, plugs, and friendly betches. Here you get some of that. Let me preface that I'm a local here- live right around the corner, and have been coming to this spot when it was Village Coffee for a long time and was among every one who was sad it closed. Parking and layout remained the same. I got the friendly baristas and good cafe au lait. Loved the resurfaced modern, relaxed, clean feel. It's spacious, and has restrooms and a coffee bar up&downstairs. Parking lot is tiny as it was before, but street parking isn't bad. There are not that many tables inside, lots outside- love that, and upstairs balcony was one long buffet table. BUT no plugs whatsoever at any spot outside. Really? The other personal issue was there were no tables alongside the windows (up or down) for privacy or a view, just two seaters. They had a few small tables inside upstairs along walkway=noisy and nosy. Then there was the f*&^#%$ music. They were loudly playing emo punk music. I'm talking Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, etc. Like that's great and all if you're a teenager from the 2000's and want to throw back. It was obnoxious that I had to ask the barista to lower it down. Still loud and obnoxious. Barista explained it's a preset IPOD at a preset volume. SB wants me to jam out to Paramore?! OH and when I couldn't punk rock anymore, I left around 3pm and the Paramore fan club arrived and crowded the upstairs like it was the after party with several kids who THOUGHT they were fly AF obnoxiously LOL'ing and singing out loud. Obv DJ Barista's friends. This coffee shop used to be frequented by professionals, and focused students when it was Village Coffee. Now it just seems like a coffee bar. Lastly, the WIFI. Literally had to connect to my mobile hotspot to finish what I was doing. So what I thought would be a 4hr work day, was cut short to 1hr and I left in an emo mood. #rahhhhh read more

It really was just too slow. There was a line of drinks which takes time; however, the two other gals could have helped the girl on bar this evening as they were leaning against the counter and she was trying to keep up with all the drinks. My latte tasted fine, the store was tidy but I would not recommend if you are short on time. read more

This is the Starbucks that used to be Village Coffee & Tea Company. They still have the upper deck in use for working, studying or enjoying a cup of coffee without the distraction of the business goings on upon the primary deck. The staff and baristas are all amazing and wonderful. The quiet floor is calm and peaceful. This is close to Tulane and Loyola Universities so students will often be studying during term. Please be respectful and use headphones on your devices that are at reasonable volume as not to be distracting. Also keep discussion low and to a minimum. There is an outdoor balcony to take phone calls and hold conversation but keep the door shut so you can't be heard. Use intimate (quiet) voice. Take any drama away from the students and people needing quiet. Thank you! read more

Gotta say... I've been in this Starbucks for no more than 15 min and I find it filled with very friendly staff. Leana gave me a free double shot of a white bean/white chocolate frap. Little barstool area at the barista counter makes it a very comfortable replacement of drinking with a bartender! read more

I love the two-story layout here. Downstairs is better for meetings/hanging out and upstairs is more private for working/studying. There's also a balcony space upstairs with plugs to enjoy the weather up there. The internet was a little spotty when it first opened but the last few times I've been it was great. read more

People come to get coffee, and many come to work (largely online) while drinking coffee. Your internet cannot be that slow. You're a gigantic corporation, so you have the money to boost it and remove the router from the area where the bank vault used to be. It is impossible to work here. read more

I called to ask a question about an order I made online. The woman I spoke with told me that it was too busy to talk to me. Which I understand that they are constantly busy. But I AM ALSO A PAYING CUSTOMER and I deserve the same respect as the patrons in the store. And I also understand that sometimes people get overwhelmed and I've taken that into consideration. This Starbucks is in the former Village Coffee location. It is an amazing location right by Tulane and Loyola Universities in Uptown New Orleans. It's a Starbucks and not too unique from any other location. The staff is great just like at the other locations. This is a double decker so you have some seats on the main floor, but you also have the upper deck if you want quiet work or study away from the ingress and egress of customers and away from the equipment that makes coffee shop noises. This is likely to be a very busy location when classes are in session but you can hit it at slow times too. But you never know from August to May when universities are in session exactly who will be there and when. In the early morning it's usually people on their way to work so it shouldn't be too insanely busy. The mid-day once class begins and when students are on break you will find them studying on the upper deck so please respect their quiet time. Thank you! read more
