We dined at Burrata Woodfired today. We were promptly seated and our server was Amy. Amy was very attentive and reviewed the specials. We ended up ordering the meatball sub and the Vinny for our lunch, and took a Blanco pizza and garlic wings home. Everything was excellent for lunch and the wings smelled awesome on our drive home. I ordered a small pizza the lady told me it was a 7in. I ordered mushrooms, banana peppers, pineapple, (there was about 6 if that pieces of pineapple and they had no color like PA does) and mozzarella cheese, and tomatoes. It was so thin on toppings I could see the sauce and the crust through the toppings. When I opened the box, some of it was stuck to the lid and the lid was closed with part of the pizza stuck in it. The owner told me they can't put that much on a what he called a 6 in. The lady on the phone said it was a 7 in. I bought the same kind from Pizza Cottage, and it was packed with toppings I could not see through it. I even took pictures of it to show people the difference. The owner never offered my money back or a replacement, which I wouldn't except a replacement if he did. But it would have been nice if they would have at least acknowledged it. I guess the person making it did a bad job or having a bad day, and they want to say it's my problem. Their owning up to what was obviously a bad pizza for a first-time customer was not very professional. read more

We stopped here on a Thursday night when we were visiting from out of town and sat at the bar. Erica was our server. She was super friendly and gave lots of great recommendations! We decided to try the whipped burrata, meatballs, steak skewers, Caesar salad, and a bianco pizza. Everything was amazing! They have so many good choices that it was difficult to decide. We loved the place! Great energy, great staff and delicious food. We had the scampi bread with cheese as an appetizer. It was heavenly. For the entree we had garlic parmesean wings that fell off the bone. And a wood fire pizza with our favorite toppings with a base of olive oil. The dessert was a pumpkin crisp. Pure heaven. Wood-Fired Perfection with Great Flavor & Friendly Service I ordered the Margherita pizza and pesto cheese bread to-go, and overall had a really great experience--especially with the pizza. The Margherita pizza was beautifully done. Cooked in a proper wood-fired oven, the crust had that ideal mix of crisp edges and chewy center with a slight char that added flavor without overpowering the fresh ingredients. The tomato sauce was bright and well-balanced, the mozzarella had a great melt and stretch, and the fresh basil added just the right finish. It was simple, classic, and executed exactly the way it should be. You can tell they care about the quality. The pesto cheese bread had a good flavor with a nice amount of pesto--it definitely came through. My only minor critique is on the texture: the cheese was a bit fused into the crust, and it might've benefited from something underneath (like a light layer of oil or sauce) to help create a bit more separation. A marinara side or a touch of garnish might have added to the presentation too. That said, I ordered it to-go, so the in-restaurant version may be more elevated--I'd be happy to try it again fresh in-house. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. One small note: the sign out front says Amato's Woodfired Pizza, but my order came from Barrata Woodfired, which made me wonder if there's been a recent name change or if the two are connected somehow. A little clarity would help for first-timers. All in all, a great spot for wood-fired pizza. I'll definitely be back for a dine-in experience--and to explore more of the menu! read more

UPDATE - We've been coming to this restaurant for years. Love their pizza, probably one of the best pizzas I've had anywhere, including Italy. So it was surprising when we learned it was no longer Amato's. It is now Burrata Woodfired. So we had to come in and try it out. With the change in brand etc, they're still making adjustments so no pizza was available, but we did try other items on the menu. We ordered the Angry Pig pasta (amazing!) the Reuben and the Italian sausage sandwiches. Everything was great. Our waitress spent time introducing us to the new items on the menu and making sure we knew that some of our old favorites would still be available maybe under a new name. This place has amazing food in it and everybody that works. There is a very kind and they work so hard to make sure that you're satisfied you got everything your drinks to food and what not with their pizzas I love but it just seems like everything that they make it's just really super good so this is a place to really go and eat and enjoy yourself and have fun and read more

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the food, but I went in for the Special which was the Bologna sandwich with a bag of chips. I used to get this when it was on the regular menu. It was $17 plus an extra $1 for a few extra jalapenos. It was on a round bun and not the sub bun like it used to be. I can buy the same bologna at Smithisler Meats for $7 a pound. Guess I have to rethink eating there in the future. read more

Food is great. We typically order take out and everything is hot and fresh, even by the time we get it home. The pastas have been drenched in sauce and are heavy to eat as a result. That's personal taste I suppose, but flavor is great. Pasta servings are huge. Enough for two meals. Servers are always very nice and well trained on the menu. The menu online is kind of lacking, with little to no info about toppings to build your own pizza. The online menu seems quite a bit smaller than what I've experienced in the restaurant, so phone ordering is difficult. The online ordering would not work the other night at all. We found this place after checking Yelp reviews -- which were generally positive. Man, did we make a mistake! Two of the female employees who approached us were extremely rude. It was our intention to order a pizza along with our beverages. And, in the two conversations I had with them they were just plain rude! Eventually, I tracked one of them down and paid our bill. First time and when in town again will definitely come again. Big pappa is really good and the honey really adds to this dish. We also made our own pizza. Crust is tasty with that wood fire flavor. Walking in you're welcomed by many friendly faces! We sat ourselves (at the request of our server) and our server was with us quickly! She had great recommendations and was very informative, telling us about the specials currently going on and what their beer list was. We tried 2 beers before deciding on the coffee stout and melon mojito beer (different but refreshing!!) we went during the early evening so it wasn't busy at all, maybe 4 other tables of people. Our server who was also the bartender on the other side of the wall stayed on top of everything and we never felt neglected. The food was delicious! We got the spinach artichoke dip at the recommendation of our server and it was delicious! I got the May salad special which was a shrimp/mango/chimichurri salad and it was refreshing and light and perfect for the warm day! My husband got the bacon ranch pizza, it was yummy but probably wouldn't order it again, it just seemed to be missing something, not crazy flavorful. I have to tell you that there is a lot of room inside the restaurant - the parking lot was full on a Friday night and I was figuring that there was going to be a long wait but I was surprised there was no wait. The service was really good. The good was really good. The decor was really cool. We were glad we stopped in. We started out with the anti-pasto salad.which had this really unique blue cheese dressing which was awesome. I had the lasagna which was a large portion and good. Wifie had the stuffed manicotti which she really enjoyed - this was also a big portion so I ended up finishing it for her. This is a hipster joint to me. The pizza tastes exactly like Kroger's Private Selection pizzas, but for a higher cost so might as well make one at home. You can reserve the back room, but be aware they charge a dessert fee of about $25 if you bring an outside dessert since they sell desserts. The take out boxes are also hard type 5 plastic like tupperware so extremely against the environment since most people don't reuse take out boxes. The fungi pasta was ok, not very flavorful, but it was at least very creamy. Prices for pasta wasn't bad and decent portions. Pretty decent service responsiveness. read more

Had dinner here Friday evening. Once again the service, atmosphere, and food were top notch! We ordered the house salad with the house dressing. Both were outstanding! The salad was very fresh, adding the squash was a nice touch and provided a different flavor and texture to the salad you don't often see. The dressing was very good-I was hesitant to get it as I don't love Italian but it wasn't anything like bottled Italian dressing. My wife for the Margherita pizza and added pepperoni and mushrooms. Will never go back there again, loved the old Amato's, waiter mentioned specials i chose the pasta that had morels from Oregon, and brisket as it was described in a glorified way food came and that's where the disapointment began as i think i found one small possibility of a morel and a few specs of brisket smothered in pasta and sauce that screamed dollar store taste for 35.00 that the waiter did not bother to mention the price, i got home and have been sick all night and Paid 35.00 to get this way. Never Again. We used to go there all the time when it was Amati's large family dining and our business staff dining, i don't know if this was an isolated experience or, but i'm not going back to find out, i loved Amato's pizza and maybe that was still good, but right now i'm very sick and disappointed! read more
