The people were very nice and ordering was a piece of cake! In all seriousness, the people were very responsive and my dog really loved the cake! She finished it so fast and loved it. If you have a special occasion for your dog, you should definitely have them try the cake here! I ordered the cake and in about 2-3 hrs they had it ready, so that was really nice.
I am deeply grateful to have stumbled upon this adorable dog bakery. This is by far the most unique gem I discovered to celebrate our fur babies special day. It was my pup, Matthew's first birthday, and I thought to be spontaneous to take him and his brother and sister out for a nice stroll around LB. We wanted it to be special, so I placed an order for a cake; I believe it was a 6 inch Paw Cake. It was made with natural ingredients, and it's more on the healthier side, whereas, dogs could enjoy every bite of it. Additionally, Matthew devoured it and ate it the rest leaving none for the others, haha. I am glad he had a memorable. Thank you to the owner, Rosanna for assisting me and my partner for our first time here. I apologize for Matthew's behavior-- he is such a happy bic boy, and he had so much fun at this place! thank you for the hospitality. We will for sure be back, again!
Rosanna is just about the nicest and most authentic person you'll ever meet. She is passionate about her work, and she is your pet's best friend (other than you, of course). I was warmly greeted by her when she unlocked the door for me (she's sticking to strict infection control during the BA4 and BA5 omicron surge in June and July of 2022), so you can feel safe being here. She does not allow a crowd of patrons inside her meticulously curated display--even the social distancing markers on the floor are super cute. Her selection of merchandize offers a feast to the eyes and hearts. Her daycare service has been affected because of the pandemic, since many people are working from home now and no longer need to send their pets to daycare. Please support her if you can. If you want your best friend to meet another human best friend, this is the place to be.

The owner shared that the cake's decorations might not last very long, but I didn't have an issue with that since I kept it refrigerated! This is my second time buying a cake from pjs pet cafe and just as the first time my dog loves it. I've tried other dog bakeries but this one is definitely my favorite since their cakes are a soft bread not one of the hard ones like biscuits/cookies. The decorations are beautiful and the price is very reasonable. Will for sure continue buying cakes from here not going anywhere else anymore. From Sweetie: I can eat three more of these if they'd let me! They're my absolute favorite !!!
PJ's Pet Cafe came through in the clutch!!!! Order another cake this year last minute for my pup, and the owner was very accommodating for an hour request pick up. She even went as far to text me 45mins later to let me know she prioritize my cake, and it was ready for pickup!!!! I ordered a cake for my Charlie's birthday this weekend. They aren't open on Sundays but I was able to pick up for Sunday for the party. The owner who greeted us was very nice and gave us specific instructions to photograph and offer up or refrigerate. Since all ingredients are natural and fresh, textures and "frosting" may not hold because they don't have the ingredients and sugar that help keep frosting together and in place. Luckily the Pawty was going to start shortly after picking up the cake. I got a medium-sized cake which was the right size for a party with 6 small dogs about 12-20 pounds. After the bday song was done Charlie had a bite, it was then cut, all the other pups got a slice and it was a hit. The pups loved it! So glad I found this spot in Long Beach. Next time I'm here I need to come when it's open and buy some extra snacks. read more

Such a cute little shop. I came looking for a customized doggy cake for her birthday. They have so many treats. I threw a little birthday pawty for my cat and dog so I asked if she can also add my cat's name to the cake. Very accommodating. read more

Went to PJ's pet cafe to pick up some dog treats for a dinner with a friend who has a dog. The storefront is locked (you can't be too careful in Long Beach), but there was a sign to call or ring the doorbell. I was greeted by Rosana, the lovely owner. She has an adorable place with lots of dog treats, cakes, clothing, and anything you would need to celebrate your pup! Not just birthdays. I settled on the "Dream Combo Plate" which has nine different flavored cookies that can be taken out individually when ready to eat. The flavors included peanut butter, zucchini, banana, blueberry, etc... To my surprise, PJ's pet cafe is UNDERPRICED for what you get! While everyone else's prices are going up, not Rosana'! Plus, my friends pup absolutely loved them. Go by and see Rosana, your dog or anyone else's pup will thank you! read more

Rosana was awesome for making my babies' 2 birthday cakes! I called it in 3 days before their actual birthday and she had me pick it up on their birthday so it stays fresh. Worth the drive! They ate it at her shop! So grateful that she allowed us to take photos inside. We had a blast! I definitely recommend. The only thing confusing at first was the ordering process -- you have to do it online or browse around for what you'd like. I didn't do that right away and called her first so when she asked me questions, I didn't know which cake to order in terms of size, design, etc. Also, I asked how many calories are in each cake and she wasn't sure so I had to moderate the portion for my babies since they are on a special diet suggested by their vet. Can't believe I called this place and in one hour they had a cake ready for me to pick up. I will definitely be coming back here for all my cake needs. I ordered online, and confirmed pick up time. She had everything ready for me right away. Dama was extremely excited to have her birthday cake. Dama is a stomach sensitive dog, and she does not eat table food, so this was quite a treat for her. My son and I happened to want to taste the cake...lol it was good...it doesn't have any sugar, but it tasted ok. If your craving sugar, you should get your own cake, lol. Anyway, I parked in the front and called the store to let them know I was there. It's on a very busy street, so please go with caution. Anyway! This place won't disappoint. read more

I have driven by this place for years and have heard good things all around, but never had the opportunity to stop by. My sweet baby turned 11 today, and I decided this morning that he deserved a cake even if he didn't get it on his actual birthday. I placed an order online thinking it would be a day or two before I could pick it up. Surprise, surprise it was ready same day. I didn't catch her name, but the person I spoke with was so helpful and nice. And the cake turned out so cute! My pup approves and we both appreciate our experience today. 10/10, totally recommend! read more

This was my first time buying a cake for my pup and I'm so happy I found PJ's. They use only natural/pup-friendly ingredients. I went to the café and called (due to Covid, you call when you're at the door and they'll open up for you) and was greeted by the kindest lady. She was so kind and patient with my reactive but fun-loving pup and prepped for me exactly what I envisioned with super short notice! My pup loved his cake and I was super happy sharing such a special 1st birthday with a furry friend who has changed my life for the better. I highly recommend PJ's Pet Cafe! My pup loved his birthday cake! The owner was so sweet and helpful. I called the day before my dog's birthday and when I followed up the next day she had the cake ready within 15 minutes. It is very apparent that she truly cares about her customers. Is your pet having a bIrthday soon then why not get a cake just made for your furry family dog. PJ's has a wide assortment of sizes of cakes you can order. No sugar or flour in these cakes. Dawg heaven!!!! My girlfriend and I went here to get our dog, Biggie a birthday cake to celebrate his 1 year of fun. This place has a bakery that sells all kinds of decorative dog birthday cake that is apparently made out of potatoes (really cool and interesting). The cakes they sell have different kinds of sizes. We brought the small cake that cost $16, not bad! The cake is adorable and well made, but the only downside is your buddy needs to eat it quick, no more than an hour or else the potato cake will start to break down (IG or FB live it asap lol). Other than that, our Biggie loves the cake and he can't get enough of it. We got a birthday bandanna and cup as well. Yeap this place sell various of dog merchandises that not even Petco might carry. They do have a day care at the back, too! The costumer service is excellent and accommodating on our needs. We are definitely going back here again for our Biggie :) read more

If you're in the lookout for a doggie bday cake, look no further. The owner bakes them with love and customized for your special little furry. Here's the deal, if you could plan ahead, swing by and pre-order. If not (like me) she does bake extras for the day...your choices will be a little more limited, but still customized and awesome. The owner is uber sweet and you could tell an animal lover. If you need a last minute cake, swing by in the morning, place your order, go grab brunch and come back to your awesome cake. You'll need to give her a couple of hours to work on your cake, so go eat or take the little one to Rosie's dog beach down the road. read more

Except for a few dogs in daycare, the store was empty and we had some trouble finding someone to ring us up. She apologized as soon as she saw us, and was very nice. They have a small selection of clothing and pet accessories, and I bought my dog an adorable Hawaiian shirt. I inquired about ordering a birthday cake. She has frozen ones prepared for same day pickup, which she can decorate in about 15 minutes. If you order ahead of time though, she can better prepare them in different shapes and sizes. The decor inside is super cute and would probably come back to check out their selection of treats. read more

Does anyone know what's in the cat cake?
Do they take last minute orders for birthday cakes and also do they have a parking lot or is it street parking?
The lady who works there told me she needs at least 2-3 days, but she bakes extras. Whatever's left is on a first come, first served basis. No private lot but ample parking around there.
