The staff were helpful, friendly, and prompt. They were quick to fill the popcorn when it was empty and were also handing out complementary mimosas made with hard cider for Mother's day. I asked about the wine and was told they use wine juice v/s grapes. In addition to using stainless steel v/s barrels. Interesting to learn about new wineries. Figured, "what the heck, I like wine!" What I found was a totally unexpected and wonderful experience. Most smaller mom 'n pop wineries are just not that good. Especially those outside the normally expected areas like Napa, Russian River Valley, etc. The ambiance is both country and modern at the same time. Meaning clean lol. The decor and welcoming smile scream "welcome home" and at the same time subtly describe a very modern wine experience. Apparently they get their grapes from California then make wine here. And it shows. This is the first Pinot Noir I've had outside Oregon that was actually good! The Montepulciano was very good too! I will admit I only tried one sampling of each of the reds and over half were great. Which is saying something. Also nice was the simple yet tasty charcuterie service. The presentation was simple yet appropriate. Sitting outside, enjoying the Sun and countryside just made the experience a visit to remember. If you ever want to try a local winery, sit at a relaxed venue, be served with a smile, and leave with a coups of fantastic bottles of wine, definitely make your way here. And apparently if you come on Sunday, you'll enjoy some live music to boot!

I chose to sit at the bar since I was there on my own. My server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She shared information about the winery and some of the most popular wine and food items. After sampling several, I settled on a glass of the playhouse red blend and one of their specials - a grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The soup was creamy and delicious and the grilled cheese comfort food perfection. Food came out fairly quickly and my server was attentive to my needs without being pushy. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back, hopefully for one of their events or maybe a visit in their fun looking igloos.

When we entered the winery, we were greeted by Michael Kavic (owner). He asked if this was our first visit, and when we told him it was, we were invited to sit down for a wine tasting. The wine tasting was amazing! He first gave us a flight of white wine (6) and told us about each one. In addition to the wine, he provided us with cheese and crackers. The whites were tastefully crafted and absolutely devine. After we finished with the whites, he brought us the red flight. We were able to try 4 of the 6 red varieties because they were out of the other 2. Michael Stephen was so friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. After trying the wines, his wife gave us forms in case we wanted to order anything. We ordered a bottle of white and a bottle of blush wine to take home with us. Michael's wife, Patricia, gave us some great Pennsylvania wine resources upon checkout. Lovely experience at Kavic Winery. We can't wait to return!

We arrived and Christian the owners son had introduced himself. He had explained about the restrictions around COVID that they are only doing samples and bottle purchased. He said it's still a hobby for his dad who is a MD Surgeon. Okay the wine; 5 samples and they had a bunch that were sold out. They make all of the wine in stainless. They do add sticks of different wood flavors for some red wines. All of the wine grapes from Lake Erie. All of the wines that I tasted were good. The dry wines, I tasted sugar in them as if he adds extra sugar to the wines. Christian went through all of the wines, tastes, how to taste and why really well. We will return, this guy can do some comedy as well. :)

For dinner, I got the salmon special with a white wine sauce over a bed of chickpea ragù, and I seriously could not stop eating it. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was INSANE -- rich, fresh, creamy, and you could immediately tell the Alfredo sauce was homemade and made fresh to order... definitely not from a jar. Soooo good! One of the best parts was the chef personally making rounds to check on guests and get feedback. Every table seemed to have nothing but positive things to say.
