Three and a half stars may be closer to my feelings after 2 visits. I didn't necessarily want to complain as much as I wanted to warn future guests about a couple things. Pla-more is on a very busy corner of a very popular cross street in an area that is exploding with new development. Why do I mention it? It's very hard to pull into their tiny parking lot from ANYWHERE on Kent Kangley. Especially around rush hour. Definitely requires a few extra u turns and red light waits otherwise. Like everyone else mentioned, it's every inch a dive bar (read classic Rush payed on the jukebox the whole visit) with loyal local patrons who come back for the AMAZING burgers, Golden T, and bar games..... not for the service (sorry guys). I waited while my husband ate his entire dinner for the waitress to check on us. She saw my food and asked if I wanted a box. I told her ideally I had hoped for silverware but a box would work now. Too subtle I think. But the sign outside is correct (we thought they forgot it was on the side of the building since it's never been changed in years). Pla-more really DOES HAVE DELICIOUS BURGERS. It lives up to the description of being a 5 star dive bar. Great prices for beers and drinks. Fantastic bloody marys. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Tasty with amazing toppings. Only problem is that the burger is so big, it's one of those you can't really set down once you start eating. Waffle fries are crispy and seasoned. Breakfast is like a great diner. Service is always friendly and everyone is welcome there. Wearing your flannel? No problem. Wearing your clothes from the golf course? No problem. It is a dive bar with the dark interior, golf video games, pull tabs, and tvs. But it is clean - which can't be said of a lot of upscale places. Parking sucks because of the lot and the outside could make you second guess your trip there. But it is an absolute gem for good food and drinks. read more

Apparently if you're not a daily "regular", even if you've gone there regularly for the last 10 years, you don't get service, or greeted, or the time of day. Stopped in on Saturday and had to pull teeth to get a drink. The bartender acted annoyed when we looked at a menu and took forever to ask if we wanted to order something. Pla-Mor is a cool neighborhood bar with a pretty decent vibe. They have a good beer selection (good not great), a real pinball machine, excellent food, and oh yea strong pours. We had a few Apps that were disgustingly fried and disgustingly good! A patron next to us was devouring his delicious looking burger. In between bites, I asked him about his burger; "Best in town" was his response. There are TVs for sports nights and for your gambling amusement there are pull tab games. We hit for $52 after investing $5. Beginners luck for sure. Will definitely visit Pla-Mor on my next visit and be hungry enough to enjoy their "Best in town" burger! read more

Had burgers here this week and they were soooo big and juicy! The best burgers in Maple Valley. Be warned they are messy, but worth it. The fries were perfectly crisp too, so soo good. The atmosphere is very divey but everyone inside was very friendly if a bit rambunctious. The service was decent. They do have some creepy dark fish tanks but I they are not overbearing. We liked it so much we went back and tried their St Patrick's day specials, corned beef and cabbage. It was excellent. I will definitely put this spot in my rotation! read more

So I have been here a few times since I turned 21. The place is what most would call a dive bar, but not a scary one. The bartenders have always been nice and make great drinks. You know it's a great place when pulling up you see a guy puking and when leaving three guys peeing in the parking lot! Has a little outside patio area, parking lot and best part three huge fish!!! I never would have even noticed the Pla-Mor if a friend hadn't taken me there. It's small and unassuming, but should not be over looked! It's my favorite kind of dive bar. My Grandpa used to eat here for years and years, so when my friends and I were in town visiting my parents (we're all 21+ but out of state licenses) I was excited to try it! However they wouldn't let us eat there. Pretty disappointed, as I've never heard of that happening especially to 4 valid Driver's Licenses. (And Oregon?!) We went in with low expectations but heard the food was great. We went in to eat dinner and have a fun Saturday night with a couple friends. From the beginning our waitress was SO rude. One wording us every time she talked to us. After giving us our food she avoided us the entire rest of the night while continuing to serve her other tables. We ended up having to go up to the bar to pay for our meal and went somewhere else for drinks because we weren't getting any business from here. This place was fine. Has the potential for a friendly, small town pub but isn't that. Food was fine, drinks were good. Prices were higher than anticipated. Two things to watch out for: 1. You can expect a service fee if you use your card. This is an additional $2 on top of your bill. 2. They will not serve alcohol to anyone under 30 who has an out of state license. Luckily this didn't apply to us (I had a Washington license, my partner has a Wisconsin License but JUST turned 30). This would be incredibly annoying if I didn't get my Washington license. read more

The food is really good, the service for the most part is good. They do have 1 bartender that is a complete snatch. She acts like she is still in junior high school, so incredibly disappointing. I called to make a complaint to the owner and all she did was make excuses for the bartender. No I wasn't drinking alchohol I was drinking water. No excuse for rudeness and we won't be back. By the way owner your business is increasing because of the population growth in the area, not because of customer service. The same bartender was working, she asked to check our ID's and after handing them over she told us she couldn't accept out of state ID's for people under 30. This circa 1977-82 age hometown bar appears to have table top and carpet updates. It feels like a blast from the past in a good way. The dark and moody setting seemed to be filled with locals post lunch hour. What surprised me, was how friendly Denise, the bartender, was and how actively she tended our table--on the far side of the room from the bar. And, also the courtesy of Todd the cook, who brought out the cheeseburger and classic Rueben each loaded with crinklecut french-fries on the side. Todd said to come back and try the Hans-Ruben--which includes a few more ingredients from the typical sauerkraut treatment. Both menu items were excellent! Timing between placing order and receiving the food to table, was well within an acceptable period. The parking lot is almost always packed. We will return to this local stomping ground! read more

I love this place. As a local dive, it's a regular stopping point for us. Food is great, usually it's a very chill spot. But our last visit has me not wanting to go back. Whoever the old blonde woman is behind the bar has no business being there. She is overwhelmed by everything. People want pull tabs, she can't manage. There were too many glasses on the bar, and instead of clearing them would just look them over and complain. She was too busy to provide service but had plenty of time to tell you how busy she was. She wouldn't take anyone cards for tabs and only wanted your name and where you were sitting to try to keep track. Her system allowed a table eat and drink without any tab being tracked. When faced with her blunder, she then proceeded to harass us about our tab and what was on it. She snapped at another guy who wanted to order food and had the nerve to ask for a menu; she was unable to locate one, she was busy. She was just flat out rude. We observed her being just as rude and unwelcoming to everyone else that approached the bar. As we were getting ready to leave a younger blonde came on shift and was serving the tables, she was amazing. We overheard other customer complain to her about the bartender as well, the server seemed shocked by the comments. I love my dive bars, and I don't mind a slightly salty bartender, but rude and incompetent are off putting, not endearing. read more
