Pros Near the Falls…read moreComfortable and tastefully decorated rooms French press coffee in your room! Great shower with awesome water pressure. Nice size TV Pillow selection Very friendly and helpful staff Cons Price- at these prices the value is questionable when everything is not absolutely perfect. We splurged on Riverside room but not much view of the river lol Towels are thin and rough Need more than two wine glasses. Regular glass for water would be nice. No fitness room on site. Day pass to another gym was fine but would have preferred something at the lodge( again bc paying a lot of money)

What a difference 40 years makes…read more I was at the Salish Lodge on a business trip for a week in 1989, and it was one of the most lovely experiences I've ever had. By the end of the first day, every valet and front desk person knew all of us by name, and they bent over backward to be helpful and treat us like valued guests even though we were working an event and weren't the ones paying for the rooms. (Our company had bought out the entire lodge, which was much smaller at the time.) All the guest rooms at that time faced the river and had a beautiful view of it. Not so anymore, as they've renovated the lodge and many rooms have either no view or a view of trees (definitely beautiful) but not the river. The latter was our experience. There was a tiny glimpse to be had if you peered far off to the right, but otherwise our view was the trees. This was disappointing simply because we didn't know the place had been added on to and now had non-river view rooms. My husband, who had given me this trip as a Christmas present, was very disappointed and asked if there were any river view rooms available instead. Sure -- for $700. (No thanks.) We stayed in our $400+ tree view room instead, but honestly, this room is about $250 overpriced. For that price, one would expect everything to be in perfect condition, plus a large-ish room. Not the case in ours. It's smaller than the size of a standard La Quinta or Comfort Inn type of room, has no dresser or drawers to unpack your clothes (unless you remove the iron from the 6"x6" drawer it's stored in), and the "closet" is an IKEA-like unit in the entryway of the room. There's a fireplace, a TV, and a small desk, plus two chairs crammed into the corner, and a narrow balcony outside to listen to -- not see -- the river. The bathroom has a shower with two rain-style shower heads, so bring something to cover your hair if you don't want to drench it every time you shower. (The hotel doesn't provide shower caps -- only a small bottle of lotion and some Q-tips and a make-up removal wipe that doesn't remove makeup. It's just to keep you from getting it on the white towels.) As to the room's condition -- There are lamps on each side of the bed. Mine had a wonky switch that had to be jiggled just so in order to work. It's supposed to be dimmable, but mine was either on or off. There is also a reading light built into the headboard. Mine didn't work. Also, water was shooting out the side of one of the shower heads where it connects to the pipe in the wall. I did tell the front desk the next morning, and they offered to move us to another room. I didn't want to have to pack up all my stuff and move to another room that may have had less of a view than we already had, so I told them we were leaving for the day and asked that someone come in to fix the issues. They did, but about six hours after I put in the request, my husband received a text asking when it would be convenient for them to come in. Needless to say, communication between the staff isn't great. As of this writing (getting ready to check out on Day 4), now the fireplace isn't working. It stopped last nigh

The restaurant ambiance is unmatched and it's obvious they put lots of consideration and care into their design and food. We were so impressed with the empanadas (cheesy chicken and beef) and special sauces. The chicken salad arepas was packed with protein. We can't wait to come back to try their other dishes! Live music is from 7:30-9:30 pm Fri-Sat, followed by karaoke.

Though we both liked our entrees, we both thought the protein quality of the mains is just ok. The winning dish is the mini arepas, hands down. I would order those mini arepa for my entree easily. This location is roomy. Service is warm; our server was helpful answering questions. The Food: Arepitas Fritas, $17 - 5+ Stars Four mini arepa in the appetizer section, these start with the same cornmeal (masa de maíz) base as the normal arepa, then topped with cheese, slow cooked beef, quail egg, and pink sauce. These bites are sooooo good! They sell the full-size arepas also, which will likely be a future meal. :) Platanos Fritos, $8 - 5 Stars Gotta love Latin foods with their plantains. Simple and delicious. Theirs are perfectly prepared. Camarones de Ajillo, $19 - 3.5 Stars These shrimps are cooked in garlic, herbs, and cream. The herb butter sauce is excellent, but the shrimps' quality is just ok. We liked it enough but will not order again. Asado Negro Tips, $23 - 3.5 Stars 8 oz of NY strip are cooked cubed in asado sauce, served with yuca fries and quasaca, a mini tomato and avocado salad. Again, the asado sauce is excellent, but the steak pieces are on the tough side. The yuca fries didn't stand out. This is also a 'liked it enough but won't order again' dish.

Having traveled to Thailand and spent time experiencing Thai food and culture, I can say that her cooking reflects the true flavors of Thailand. Her Khao Soi is something very special. This Northern Thai curry noodle soup with chicken takes hours of preparation, and you can taste the layers of flavor and care that go into making it. She is also known for her wonton soup, and it is one of the best places in WA State to enjoy wonton soup with bok choy. The coconut chicken wings, fried rice, and wagyu beef matsaman curry is delicious. Seree Thai is truly a treasure in Kent. The restaurant has a beautiful, modern atmosphere that feels like a trendy Bangkok restaurant, yet it is right here in our neighborhood. The food, the hospitality, and the attention to detail are exceptional. If I had to recommend one place for authentic Thai cuisine in Kent, Seree Thai would be my choice.

I really like the way it looks! Whom ever had the idea did a good job. The service here was great! We were seated right away, and our server was very helpful. It really seems as though someone was always there to assist us. Which is pretty nice. Okay, for the cocktails and food!! Cocktails, I ordered the Blue Siam Dragon, very beautiful! I liked it. But the tequila taste was a little much for me. But comparing it to the drink my daughter had, the Golden Orchid. I would order the Golden Orchid the next time. Tastes a little better to me. But these drinks were very refreshing on a hot day! Food, we ordered the Crispy Chicken, yellow curry with chicken and chicken phat Thai. Let's start with the dish that had quite a few reviews, crispy chicken. The chicken is very tender. It tastes like it was glazed with sweet and sour sauce. I'm not so sure if I would order this dish again, because It's a little sweet for me. For the Yellow curry, this was good. But I would've really enjoyed it more if it was spicy. We ordered 5 stars, but there was no HEAT to it at all! Glad they gave us a side of the condiments, because I was able to add some chili peppers in it, which helped. For the last and final dish, Phat Thai. Okay, I would say that this was okay. The flavors weren't all there for me. It didn't have much of the tang, salty or sweet to it. Oh, the other thing just to mention. All of our food we ordered was supposed to be a 4/5 star for the spice level and all the dishes did not come out spicy. I would give the restaurant a 3 1/2, but it does not give me the option. But a 4 is good, too. For the ambiance and service. I think I would come back, not sure when. But maybe to try out their happy hour.
