I joined a month ago, have been going 1-2x a week, and could not speak more highly of the club. Chris at the front desk is friendly and helpful, the range is the cleanest I've been to and this has been consistent across all my visits. There are additional membership benefits that are helpful with transfers, especially in light of new regulations that expand firearm components to be transferred through a FFL. Great place. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. Top of the line range/features. Never crowded out like a public range, and not dangerous like one. This is a perfect environment for any enthusiast to consistently put rounds down range and train. Came here as a guest and really enjoyed the whole range. Front staff was friendly and very specific to what needed to be filled out when signing in. It felt very professional and people there were friendly and helped keep the place clean. This is my second time at a gun range and this place has me wanting to take up a new hobby. Following up here with a quick update expanding on my experience: Placer Sporting Club is a great place to take any CCW/private firearms training course (especially now since such endeavors are upwards to 16 hours in duration). The facility has very few distractions, making it much more enjoyable than other places I've visited for handgun courses. I have been a member for years. The staff is safety oriented, polite and helpful. The facility is clean, just very well kept. Chris and Jessie are also very helpful and are just good folks. The nice thing about a club like this is you can't just have "riff raff" walk in and use the range. This place is the best! They are very exclusive and selective which is nice because they promote safety and it actually feels like a "club". The owners and everyone I come across there are extremely friendly. They offer many other services to their members as well. Professional range and staff is remarkable. As a professional user, I am normally on a different range everyday. Most ranges in the area are a two hour wait to shoot with a very unsafe customer base. Placer Sporting Club is the only range I have ever shot at where I have never seen anybody waiting. The staff includes many NRA Instructor and you are always greeted at the door with a smile. The safety is always a focus and Chris the range manager (NRA Instructor) is always willing to help out new shooters. Range is cleaned every night --I mean range floor is swept and dusted right down to the shine! That is really quality! read more

You can buy your friend or loved one a gift membership! There are knowledgeable Gun Smiths and Managers on-site almost every day. The manager Chris is pretty amazing and very understanding- he will show you how to be safe and how to do it right! Placer Sporting Club is a true Family business. You walk in and they look you in the eye and greet you by name. Everyone is professional and helpful. Even the members leaving the range will nod a hello as they pass. Safety is #1 priority at all times on and off the range. Extremely gun friendly as long as your safe gun handling techniques are up to par. Instructor friendly too by the way of giving those around them the opportunities to succeed.
