Sal was responsive and made sure the driver was there. Our flight was delayed but the driver was still there. Same charge and great driver with the car seats strapped in by the fire department. Taxi rate calculators estimated $7-$9 for the ride, so I expected similar cost. We the called back to confirm a car on the way, they took payment. To my surprise it was $36. A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

I found thedriverguys.com searching online and I was shocked at the service I received. First of all, I was impressed by the amenities they provide. The website was nice and so was the gentleman I called for the ride. I don't really read the websites too much when I called but when I found out they had free wi-fi in the car I had to call. I use my laptop all the time and it was nice to get some work done on the way to the airport. That's not all though. When the car pulled up at the Hilton it was right on time. The drivers name was Dave and he dressed very professional. He also opened my door and put my luggage in the trunk. Then I got in the car and wow! The backseat looked like I was the first person to ever sit back there. As we drove off Dave asked me what I wanted to drink.....what??? I've never been asked that by any driver in my life!! They had a wide assortment. He also asked if I'd like to use their I-PAD to keep me entertained during the ride.....again....what??? I didn't take him up on it because I had some work I needed to get done on my laptop but I was shocked. These guys are by far the best service experience around in my book. I normally only tip drivers $5 to $10 because it comes out of my pocket, not my companies account, but I had to give this guy $20. Trust me as a traveling professional. Very poor business practices!…read more I bought a Groupon for airport transportation. The price of the Groupon $79 round trip. In the midst of the ride the driver started talking about the extra charges I would need to cover... To the tune of $48!!! The Groupon fine print and other info outlined other possible charges that could be included but none should have applied to my ride. However, when I got the email confirmation for the ride, I was told the "total out of pocket expense" would be an additional $16 for gratuity and $4 airport tax. During the ride I was told that that $20 was increased to $24 because of two extra fees AND that that $24 fees would also be charged on the return trip! So suddenly the "total out of pocket expense" had more than doubled. When I told the driver that was not cool and it was not stated that way in the Groupon or in his confirmation email, he wanted me to pay him $90 for this one way ride and get my money back from Groupon and I could make other arrangements for my return ride. Then he said he would give me this ride for the $79+$24 (+$5 credit card fee if I used one) and I could get another ride home. Then he said he would not honor the Groupon! I told him he couldn't do that in the midst of the ride. I told him I was still going to be using the Groupon as purchased and reserved - his extra fees - so my ride was still covered under Groupon's policies. He did not seem very happy. I was not argumentative with him. I told him that I had no complaints about the service. But I felt he was being deceptive to customers and he needed to be very clear about the upcharges in the Groupon and in his email. He apologized for the misinformation. But he was still trying to find a way to to get extra money for my rides. If you don't want to honor what you say, don't offer a Groupon. Very shady business practices for a person who said he was trying to grow a business! Needless to say, I will share my experience with anyone who asks. Shame on Choice Concierge!
