Now after attending, I can say that this spot really exceeded expectations. One of the best things about this spot was having a large variety of different areas for guests to spread out and socialize. This led to a much more relaxed atmosphere for talking than most weddings that I've attended (I'm not huge into dancing). Even throughout the afternoon and evening, it was very nice to be able to enjoy appetizers on the beautiful rooftop deck, enjoy music and dancing on the dance floor, while still being able to carry on a conversation in the large main dining room -- or head downstairs to lounge around to avoid the crowds and noise. As I attended for a family wedding, I was also able to utilize the generously sized suites that had more than enough room for everyone to bring items they needed and have space to get ready for the event. The Haight has done the look of a rustic venue better than most places that I've seen. One thing that I really appreciated is that the look is rustic, but the facilities themselves are in great shape and modern. There were also plenty of great photo spots all around the venue that were lit nicely and contributed to guests having plenty of photo opportunities that they could create on their own. For those who were looking to rest, I did enjoy having sofas and softer cushioned chairs available to relax in. Overall, excellent venue that I would love to attend another wedding in the future. A beautiful facility with friendly service and lots of space to move around make this a great gathering spot.

    Throughout our time with Karolina, she was very unorganized, forgetting many details that had…read morealready been discussed. We spoke to her a few times about her lack of organization, but she didn't seem to correct it. Karolina may need and assistant as she seems too busy. I wrote out all of the details so she wouldn't forget and I also provided the venue with a copy as back up. Karolina did not seem comfortable with conversing via phone so it was difficult to reach her. She sent long emails, ignoring our preference of communicating via phone due to our busy work schedule. Karolina's true lack of organization was obvious during our wedding rehearsal, as she did not know what to do. Everyone was lost because she didn't bring copies of the ceremony schedule. It was very embarrassing for our wedding party and the venue staff to keep telling us how unorganized, overwhelmed, and how much of an amateur she looked, and how rude she was to them when they asked simple questions. I explained to Karolina that she was unorganized and everyone could see it. She stormed off screaming "I am organized. I am organized", which was one of the most unprofessional and bizarre moments I have ever experienced. Karolina disappeared many times during our almost THREE hour rehearsal, leaving us to figure things out. She left without apologizing or even saying bye to me. The rehearsal put us behind 2 hours, which forced us to cancel our welcome reception for out of town guests. We had to be the mediator for some issues Karolina and our vendors had. Our makeup schedule was thrown off because Karolina lied about sending the wedding day timeline to our makeup artist. BUYER BEWARE: She will make up lies about us firing "many wedding coordinators and florist" , which is SIMPLY NOT TRUE. Not apologizing for how much stress she gave us, as SPECIFICALLY cited above, not addressing her performance, and completely making up lies, truly shows her true colors.

I would like to give you a balanced review in which I tell you all the good things but also mention things to be wary of, but unfortunately I cannot-- I don't have a single negative thing to say! If there is one thing in our wedding planning that was absolutely worth every penny (and more!), it was hiring Karolina on as our day-of coordinator. She is by far the most reasonably and affordably priced day-of that we've seen, and her dedication to your wedding cannot be matched (and will be apparent immediately). As far as "value for the cost"-- look no further! She is priced WAY below the "big name" (and not so "big name") coordinators, and her attention to every one of YOUR details will make you feel like you've gotten away with a steal! She never asks you anything twice-- she will know every detail of your dream and vision as well as you do! While she is a "day-of" coordinator, her work starts the moment you hire her and she communicates with you and your vendors constantly up until the moment you say "I do." Her response time via email is almost immediate, and you never have to wait more than a few hours. In fact, she often emailed me reminders and such before I even had to contact her! I don't communicate very well over the phone, so I can't comment on her availability via phone, but if she is at all as attentive by phone as she is by email, you have will have no problem! The timeline that she creates is very thorough and very helpful. She helped keep everything organized and moving throughout the wedding process. She actively communicates with all of your vendors throughout your planning and the day of your wedding, and I didn't worry about anything on my wedding day-- I knew she had it covered! She is very friendly, and her demeanor is pleasant. This is a plus when she's dealing with wedding issues, as people feel comfortable around her and do not feel like they're being yelled at. She was punctual and professional, and was always there to help with "emergencies," even if it wasn't outlined in her job description (i.e. I forgot vase marbles and she was there with a full bag!!). Overall, I highly highly recommend her as your day-of coordinator!!

    In my dream of dreams I never could have imagined a more beautiful wedding. Being from Kansas City,…read morewe have very limited options when it comes to the an all-inclusive South Asian wedding decorating. You have to hire a separate draping company, linen company, florist/design, and lighting company. Drish Couture Events introduced to me to Shaadi Creations and there was no looking back after meeting Sonal and Mayank. I had ideas and a budget and Sonal and Mayank were able to create a dream wedding within our budget! At our initial meeting, Drish and I had laid out some inspirations for the Grah Shanti and Wedding but the reception was where I was the most confused after searching through endless Pinterest boards. When I mentioned Vintage Glamour, Sonal totally got what I was going for and immediately started showing me pictures and looks of ideas that encapsulated glamorous vintage. The mandap I had a picture of was a double mandap that had to be constructed from scratch at the actual venue all the way in Kansas City. They not only recreated the look but enhanced it with pops of color, floral cuffs and amber lighting that created a soft romantic glow. From the Grah Shanti was jewel toned Sabyasachi inspired. From the Grah Shanti to the wedding to the reception, Shaadi Creations took my breath away by the beauty ambience and splendid environment they created. Each event was unique and gorgeous and beyond my greatest expectations. People have said they have never seen such a beautiful wedding in Kansas City and this is all because of their creative genius and architectural design. I cannot express to you how wonderful it was to not have a single concern about the decorations being completed on time. They went above and beyond in every aspect. From the first time meeting Nisar I knew that he would be a true delight to work with. His talent and vision was spot on to what we were looking for. We went with a elegant Parisian themed wedding reception with rich, swank colors, uplighting, floor to ceiling pipe and drape, crystal candelabras, gorgeous luxurious linens and much more! Shaadi Creations nailed ever aspect of this and beyond. With being a smaller wedding event planner myself, I never not trusted Nisar and his team...when I walked in that ballroom for the first time I was absolutely speechless. When guests walked into the room they were also speechless and felt like they were just warped into Paris for the wedding of the year. It's located right in downtown Algonquin and it's "house" so it adds to the charm. There are many different parties to choose from, but each one includes dress-up and a tea party. You can add makeup and hair for additional cost and each party has varying add-ons so the cost will vary, but the cost is very reasonable. This is not a place where parents stay for the event as the place cannot accommodate that many people (I def did not mind that aspect), so be aware of that. I brought my camera and told the parents I would take lots of pics and for them to provide me their email addresses so that I could forward them once uploaded. Once the girls arrive, they go upstairs to where there are racks of clothes, shoes, and many accessories to choose from with all sizes. After the girls have made their final selections, they take a picture then head to their tea party room. There, they have princess tea (which is sprite dyed pink I believe), cookies, marshmallows, cracker/pretzel mix, and cupcakes. They sing Happy Birthday there as well. After that, they change back into their clothes and go downstairs to open presents. Rebecca is a saint and does an excellent job with the party and the girls. I would def recommend this place for your next party.
