From hot coffees to cold brews, all were tasty and made to my specifications (sugar free, minimal syrup pumps). This shack also offers oat, soy, or coconut milk... which makes staying somewhat low-carb easier (on vacation, so lived a little dangerously this visit!). There are multiple Country Coffee locations around the metro area, but I'll be sure to swing back by this one the next time I'm up in the PNW.

They proudly serve K&F Coffee, and I swear these lattes taste extra heavenly thanks to the local mountain water. Back in the day when this place went by a different name and the vibe was more Hoppin' they made some of the greatest biscuits and gravy around. Legendary stuff. So naturally, I had to try it again. Good news: it didn't disappoint. I won't swear it's as good as the original incarnation (time has a way of polishing memories), but it's a solid second-best, and that's saying something. The biscuits were hearty, the gravy did its job, and I left full and ready for the road. The coffee? Decent. It'll wake you up, won't change your life, but it'll get you to Timberline without falling asleep at the wheel. That said, the place feels like a ghost of its former self. Sad to see the market closed that part stings a little. The building still holds the echoes of what it used to be, and you can almost feel the history lingering in the corners. Service-wise, there was a moment. The lady at the counter was BS-ing with some guy at the window for a solid five minutes or maybe he was just standing there, staring into the void but either way, I was ready to order. That little pause cost them a star. Still, for the price, the convenience, and the fact that I was in and out with no line while heading up the mountain, it earns four stars. It's good, it's familiar, it's just missing something. If they ever find it again, this place could really shine.
