Gyms a bit small there's a decent amount of machines mostly treadmills and bicycles. They usually have 2-3 staff members at the desk ready to check you in. Most are nice and friendly. There is an older guy grey hair who keeps harassing me when I check in. He wants me to make that my home gym but it's too small but it is in a convenient location for me. I do have the black card membership so it shouldn't even matter but has made me look at other gym options. The people who work out here stay to themselves and are overall friendly. They have an area to stretch but it is really small. You can maybe only fit 2-3 people max. The locker rooms are relevantly clean. The urinals usually have a lot of pee. Over not a bad gym. I came here a while back...many many years ago, so I don't remember much from that time. This is my first visit since that time. I came with my boyfriend as a guest. So far, seems like a good gym. I cam on a Sunday and there was no one there when I visited so there was many bikes and treadmills available. I used to be a member of defined fitness so this place is a much better price if you don't care about the classes or pool area and just want a basic gym. read more

It's less than $30 a month for gym(weights, cardio plus a 30 minute circuit AND personal trainer ), tanning and massage lounges/chairs. Those voting less than 5 can go to expensive places and judge there while paying $50/60/70+ a month. Or better yet, put your own gym in your own house and leave the rest of us alone. So I just wanted to work out, I use tivity A Blue Cross Blue Shield benefit, excepted and almost every gym in the country, I walked into the gym at 8:53 AM, at 9:26 AM I finally gave up and left because the kid working the desk didn't have a clue about what he was doing. On a sidenote my program cost $30 a month, it is supposed to be the highest level at planet fitness, this location told me it would only be the basic level, and I couldn't use it at any other PF location. Both of which are wrong, so I'm not sure who the owner is but The employees need much better training! read more

The Montgomery location is a great place to work out. Because the gym is a little smaller, I don't have to worry about walking longer distances while I superset, which minimizes my rest periods, ensuring I don't waste any time. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, and the gym is always kept very clean. Not only that, but this gym is 24 hours for 5 days a week. Since you only need to weight train 3-5 days a week anyway, this is more than enough time, regardless of your schedule, to get your workouts in. I've also never had to wait for a cardio machine when I need one, which is a big plus. After your exercise is done, you can relax with a nice hydromassage or quick tanning session before you head out. Small gym, but has most everything you need (not really many fitness classes though). Never really had any problems with rude gym members and it's the best deal for a gym in town. That being said, I ran into a problem with my billing. My bank had sent me a new credit card with a chip over the summer and hadn't thought to update the expiration date and 3 digit number on the back. Planet Fitness never told me anything. It wasn't until I had issues scanning my card that they told me my account balance was $40. $10 for that month, $10 for the previous month, and two charges for $10 each in late fees for the previous month. As far as Planet Fitness locations go, this is the one. It's never crowded. Always very clean. Staff is nice and helpful. Club manager Amanda goes above and beyond to assist clients. And they just got brand new equipment. Best in the area. read more

I've been to numerous Other planet fitness facilities in numerous states. This is one of the worst ones. Can you say "sardines?" That is what it feels like when you go here. Machines too close together, very few windows, short ceiling closed in on you and zero space to move around. I think it's time to cancel my membership. read more

Went here for the first time the other day with a friend who has their fancy membership where you can bring a friend. I was not very impressed. It smelled awful in here. Many people were not wiping down the machines and equipment after use. No free weights. Staff was not very friendly. I also absolutely hated the purple and yellow everywhere. It's been a little while since I have had time to review- but i feel that I need to spend a few minutes bragging about this particular Planet Fitness. Sean is the manager and is hands down the most pleasant and professional team member that I have ever seen. He knows most all of the regulars by name and makes every one of us feel good by greeting us as we are coming in. Today I walked in and Sean not only wished me a happy birthday- before I left he handed me a card. He hand wrote a note to me and it totally made my day. This location is amongst the smallest I have visited. It is not busy but doesn't have a lot of the black card "extras" working, like the tanning beds, only one hydro bed, no hair cuts that I am aware of, and a strange lay out over all. They do not sell much of the merchandise or food or beverages, One of the female workers is very difficult to work with as if she cannot be bothered at all. The gentlemen are amazing. Several of the machines are out of order and have been several weeks. One of the air vents drips onto the machines. In the cardio area. There is only a 30 min work out area. And no other timed workouts. read more

We are visiting the area for 3 months and have no Planet Fitness at our home location. Tried to set up something for that period. They offer a good deal but the dealbreaker was that they insist on being able to direct debit your bank account which is something that I won't do. I'm more than happy to pay cash or write a check for the period but they aren't that flexible. read more

Being a mother of two, having a affordable gym is awesome! Planet Fitness offers reasonable hours, upgraded equipment (just got a stair stepper!), clean and have other offers such as massage chairs, hydro massage, haircuts and tanning (if you like those amenities). I like the 30 min circuit and medicine balls.The personal trainers are nice and helpful. Yes, there are young adults working but they always greet me with a smile and wish me a good work out! I highly recommend to anyone on a budget and limited/tight time schedule. read more

If I want to show up in my workout clothes...and just get a massage...I can. If I want to reward myself for doing the Biggest Loser designed 30 minute circuit training with complimentary tanning...I can. If I spent the day eating In a depression induced feeding frenzy and want to feel better by working out at midnight on a weekday...I CAN! For 20 bucks a month I get all of these things. The staff here is AMAZING. The Manager - Scott is an awesome guy who is always happy to see you arrive & it spreads to his team. It feels like you're meeting friends at the gym every day when you arrive. I've been a member of 10 different gyms (including ones with $65 memberships) & I've never seen a culture remotely close to this before. The other ratings want to complain about stuff breaking & not being fixed - but I've never NOT seen them rushing to keep things top notch around here. Even cleaning machines themselves when other members leave without doing so. I'd give this place 10 STARS if I could. read more

This is a great gym for the price you pay. I have gone at different times and don't have to wait for cardio machines. Although, prime time for free weights seems to be after 5p. The only thing I really miss from the other mainstream gyms is a sauna. read more

I've been coming to this gym for about a year, always clean and well maintained the employees are always very friendly. I like the fact they put music for us to jam too now. Always feels like home here. Although a body mirror in the bathroom would be great to take before and after pictures of progress. But other than that I'm always pleased with this gym.! read more

Last time I visited the gym at 11200 Montgomery Blv. NE Ste 18 80% of the members were wearing their masks around their necks. I asked the staff why they were not enforcing the mask rule and they said we do go around and tell members to wear their masks. When I asked them why they were not doing that they had no response. I don't want to totally downgrade my gym, but ever since the last manager left, the "kids" running the place suck. It really makes the place seem so UNPROFESSIONAL when you have these young people working there who talk really loud on the company phone about their personal business. There's a young guy that works there who spoke about some girl having a crush on him, IF she still has a crush on him, party plans for the weekend that include plenty of sex and drugs. Granted a lot of people wear headphones when they work out, but not ALL of us do. I really don't want to hear all that while I'm working out. I still like the gym itself and the great deal that it is...$10 per month, yeah, you have no excuse not to work out. Just wish they'd hire a mature ADULT to manage the place. read more

This was my main location as a Planet Fitness member. It used to be my favorite, until they shuffled equipment around. The stretching area was set in an awkward area by the backdoor and became much more cramped. I stopped visiting this location soon after. Also, the music they play overhead is too loud and competes with my own in my head phones. Not a fan of that. read more

Oh my gawd don't go to this place. They're all lovey dovey until you try to cancel. I moved to another city and tried to cancel via website or on phone. No can do, and the gal (Meti? Maddy?)) on the phone was extremely rude. Since I am unable to come in person, the company wants me to send a certified letter that I am canceling. Not happy with this company. I have been using this gym for a couple of months with no issues...I like that the people that come here are mellow. But just lately the employees have turned nazi on me with all their rules. It used to be very mellow but no longer. Now I am scared to go there because of all the "suggestions". I will have to consider whether or not to keep using them. read more

She's very responsive to requests and suggestions and treats customers of all ages like colleagues who are trying to create a great environment to enhance everyone's health and wellness. One of the most deceptive moneysuckers I've ever tried. The advertised $10 a month don't mention the high start-up fees. Maybe I would have been happier about it if, when I took out my phone to calculate the best plan for me, the "salesman" didn't roll his eyes and say "oh gawd." I tried it out for a couple of months, the facilities and equipment were actually pretty nice, but I couldn't get that bad taste out of my mouth, so I decided to quit. They wouldn't let me! I looked it up online and found out I had to pretend I was moving to somewhere more than 50 miles from a PF gym or it would be nearly impossible. After all that, the $10 fee felt like several hundred. I.E. I would not recommend it. read more

Still a great place to work out and there are some new team members who are always available to answer questions. This week is my quarterly review with Donna and I'll see what changes she has in store. Quinton, Michael, Nick, Victoria and the rest of the team are all doing a great job. The gym is pretty good. The staff in the early morning is very nice and helpful. Donna is the trainer at this location. She is very helpful and goes that extra mile for her clients. The only thing about the gym I wish they would get is Olympic bars and a flat bench for bench press. I would also like it if they had some kettle bells.
