I've been to this location a few times, it's not my home gym, but is closer to my home. The facilities are clean, but it is smaller than my home gym. It feels and looks a bit cramped to me. There are plenty of cardio equipment options and weights. Staff is nice and helpful in answering questions I had about my membership. The parking lot is small and can be chaotic with the shopping center and Dixie Queen traffic. The gym is easy to spot from the street, I'm not sure about security guards or if there is any security services for the gym/shopping center. For the most part I would visit for convenience since it is closer. With the black card there is a limit on how many times you can " visit" another gym outside of your home gym and the limit is 10/month from what I was told here. But if you have questions about the black card perks definitely speak to one of the representatives for more accurate information. read more

This gym was really nice. It was very clean and the staff was helpful in answering my questions. The women's locker room and showers were also clean and spacious. I ended up joining this gym as a result of my free day pass to check it out. Plus, the App seems to be awesome with loads of exercises that I can do outside of the gym. This is all I want in a gym! Great location, incredible value, clean facility, and plenty of space! I had thought about joining and then a co-worker of mine raved about the place so I signed up online. The first time I came in they were very quick and efficient getting my card, photo, shirt, etc. The guy at the front desk explained where everything was, but didn't make a move from behind the desk to actually show me anything. He just said "Have fun!" Other than that lazy dude, I have no complaints. $20 a month for free 24 hour gym access, tanning beds, hydrotherapy machines, massage chairs, and whatever the heck red light therapy is - pretty great deal! You also can access any planet fitness in the country if you travel or across Memphis (4 locations.) If you just want gym membership to one location it's only $10 a month. Quite a steal. They have treadmills with personal tvs, stairsteppers, ellipticals, and machines to work every part of your body imaginable. There is a 30 minute work out section that covers everything in a limited amount of time. The tanning beds are good, but the the face light is too strong for me. I have to alternate between tanning it and laying face down so my face isn't beet red. The massage chairs and hydrotherapy beds are really awesome to have access to whether you're relaxing after working out or needing some tension worked out. read more

The Cordova, TN Planet Fitness is the best Planet Fitness in my area! I love the manager and staff here. Everyone is friendly and I feel like I am at home here. The facility is extremely clean, especially for COVID-19. Everyone is professional and available to help if you have a question or concern. The members are great too. I have been working out in the gym also this one for a whole year!!! I always get the stand up tan(done for 30 times at least) done with NO eye protection!!! The assistant manager Andrea didnt want to let me do the stand up tan because I didn't have eye wear, never heard about such thing and been to PF for a whole year!! She was rude about it too!!! I will find a way to contact corporate and complain, you can't force to buy your eye protection!! In fact by law I am supposed to suit you for NOT providing eye protection because you are supposed to!!!! Rude!!!! read more

I have been working out at this location for about a month now, and to be honest it's my favorite planet fitness I've been to by far. The staff is friendly, I see them cleaning the gym while I'm working out every single time I come in. I walk in ready to say hi to everyone and to wish them a good day, because I just love the vibe of this place. A successful business (especially a health fitness club) is all about the people employed there and how they are trained... they are currently struggling in that segment of their business. The morning attendant needs to be retrained or terminated. There was an incident where this individual came up to me, while I was in mid-set), to tell me that I needed to "wear my mask". My mask was on, but had slipped down just under my nose because I was in mid-set and breathing hard. I tried to finish my set of just 20 reps, but she persisted, so I stopped what I was doing and explained to her that I was mid-set, breathing hard, that there was no one around for 30' (time was 0530 and there was maybe 8 people in the gym) that no one in the "cardio area" was wearing them and that there was 2 guys across the gym that were wearing them as chin straps. Not sure why she singled me out, so I asked and she said it was their "policy" and walked away. I left. I contacted corporate and the local store via the website. Received a response from neither. Called and asked for a manager. Was told a manager would be on site after 3pm, so I asked if I could leave a message and she hung up! I called back and told her that I was trying to leave a message and that we must have been disconnected. She responded by saying "uh-huh..," and said that she got my name and number from the Caller ID and would leave a sticky note on his desk. After 2 days, I attempted again and called after 3pm. Was told the manager was not there. Asked what the manager hours were and was told that was privileged information and could not divulge that to me...? It seems like the Planet Fitness company has a great concept, but is lacking in their management and staff training. I would not recommend the Cordova, TN. location. read more

While this Planet Fitness isn't as big as others in the area, it is very well maintained. The machines and floor was very clean and the machines seemed like-new. There were more cardio machines than lifting equipment, so keep that in mind if you are looking for something specific, but my boyfriend and I were able to get in a great workout here. Clean... fairly nice place. That's the good. The bad: if you do the 30 minute express workout... you'll be disappointed. The stepping stations are too close together, preventing you from properly doing more than just stepping.. and half are facing away from the red/green light. The machines were all in good repair, but being used by people not doing the express workout and not changing with the lights. I did manage to do all the stations by skipping around... but it took longer because I had to wipe them down twice.., I was the only person wiping off the machines when I was finished. The Bottled water at this location was almost twice the price of planet fitness in Concord California. All in all a nice place... but they could do better. I don't know, maybe some signs to inform customers what the lights are for.. and maybe something saying "wipe down the machine when you are done, you nasty piece of dirt" *** the lights I was referring to in the 30 minute workout section, are the red and green lights that tell you when to switch machines... but the person who responded to my review doesn't seem to know about them. Hence his comment about "running the lights" . Maybe if he knew about the express workout system (which is a big part of planet fitness), it would catch up to the rest of the franchise.**** read more

I was so upset by the customer service provided by the Planet Fitness in Cordova that I created a yelp account to review this business. I called this gym looking for a place to workout while back in Memphis for winter break. I was greeted on the phone by "Shelby" a rude employee who spoke over me multiple times. I called wondering if they had a free weight section, specifically a squat rack and a bench press. I was interested in this gym because of their unusually low membership rates. Shelby made it apparent they want a certain type of patron in their gym, this is ironic given the fact their mission statement preaches non-judgment. I will gladly take my business to another gym in the area. read more
