I called and asked about Planet Fitness' age policy and explained that my ten year old was interested in learning about fitness and wanted to start working out. The young lady I spoke to said that was fine and even suggested the Black Card membership and I could bring him as my guest. I drove across town, picked my son up and drove to Planet Fitness to check it out and sign up if we like it, only to be informed that the minimum age was 13. "My gym has 3 power racks and 3 squat racks" "My gym has a lot of Smith machines." "Oh, you go to Planet Fitness?" Ok, Planet Fitness has earned all the jokes at its own expense by promoting it's "judgement free zone" while at the same time judging the "lunks" who frequent traditional gyms. Gone are free weight bars, squat racks, and heavy dumbbells. So it's definitely not a lifter's gym, but this location does its part in providing a good, clean environment to get a workout in. The full time staff are super friendly and do great at providing quality customer service. The part timers, not so much. This gym is super clean and they do a lot of work to keep it that way. My only real gripe is they only have one pec deck fly machine, which is actually two different exercises, and is almost always in use. One more machine would make a big difference. I wouldn't recommend the personal trainers at this location, I've seen them really do a disservice to their clients when it comes to teaching proper form on machines, cables, and free weights. For $20 a month the membership includes tanning, hydrobeds, Massage chairs and red light therapy. That's a great deal. This has been my first experience at Planet Fitness and I think the staff makes this location a great pick. Great people, good gym. read more

The worst Gym ever do not enroll in this gym... big big rip off then they're very rude. Customer Service is supposed to be helpful then they hang up on you and they need to change your staff or their company is going down and also they've had many many class action lawsuits against them so do not enroll in this gym if you're wise read more

I stopped by this location for a free guest pass as offered on the PF website (https://www.planetfitness.com/daypass) as my wife and I were considering joining. The front desk staff refused to honor this policy, tried to charge $20 for a guest pass, and said they don't care what is one the web site. read more

People don't wipe down machines after use management does nothing about it after being told

I actually like the gym. Really need doors on the showers instead of curtains. Feels like you're in a campground bath house. Not very secure. Staff is just ok. Some of the younger ones lack respect but you get what you pay for. It does get on my nerves when the groups of members get in front of the bench press equipment and do cardio tying up the area. but that's not the gym's fault. Place is clean and priced right. read more

This morning I was in the woman's locker room in one of the dressing rooms and had just removed my workout attire, walking naked across to the shower stall. As I was about to get into the stall a male employee followed by a female employee walked into the shower room. I yelled for their attention the woman looked at me and I told her it was not OK for a man to be back here when women were showering (I wasn't the only one), and that I had just been walking naked into the shower. She said sorry AND THE MAN DIDN'T LEAVE! When I was done showering I peeked out and he was walking through the room again towards the exit. After dressing, me and the other woman in the shower complained to management and were told that the female said she announced them coming in. Me and the other woman never heard any announcement, and regardless there should be no men in the locker woman when women are back there naked. I feel violated and uncomfortable returning. I have been offered no real apology or any assurance that this issue will never happen again. They have treated me like my privacy and business is of little importance. read more

Very good customer service and the gym is always clean. They have a good amount of gym equipment and machines.

I called a while back to cancel my membership but the staff member I talked to just put my account on hold instead. After I found out that my card has been charged the $10 monthly fee, I called them again and they did cancel my membership but I had to pay the $40 annual fee the day after I cancelled because I cancelled too late within the month and there was nothing they can do about it. This place has bad customer service and should hire better team members who will listen to customer requests. I had to pay $50 because of someone screwing up. Haven't been there in half of a year and won't be coming back. read more

Was rushed out of the changing room around midnight-ish all because the staff was in a rush to "sweep and mop". Literally was told "I'm giving you a couple more minutes". This was usually my go-to location for late night workouts. Not anymore. read more

The customer service has taken a fall and they need to get back up again. I go randomly and was one of the first members! I can see a serious downturn in pleasant interactions with guests. Greet your people at the door and welcome them into the gym. Don't act as if your patrons are bothering you! read more

Clean, clean, clean, totally unintimidating and classy gym! Tons of newer well maintained equipment. They've got TV screens all over the place and the music is low enough that you can hear yourself think or hear your own music if you want. The hours are 24/7, staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they're always available. No pressure selling, just helpful advice. Very good to answer questions and show you how to work the different machines without making you feel like an idiot. Online scheduling of classes etc. is really easy and the app works great. If you're into classes (so far I've done 2), their instructors are very nice and the class size is deliberately small, which is great if you don't want to train in a herd. Also, the instructors look like real people interested in interacting as opposed to models interested in their iPnone. The rates are crazy good and they offer different levels depending on what stuff you want to use. Besides the gym equipment and classes, they have tanning booths, massage chairs, hydro-massage beds, and little grape Tootsie Rolls! All in all this is a terrific deal and a WAY better facility than any other gym I've ever been to. Can't say enough good about the place. Really glad to find a gym I'm comfortable working out in. Perfect for all ages but I think it's really great for the over 40 crowd. Highly recommended. read more

Are there really people complaining about spending $22 a month? While having access to all planet fitness locations, massage chairs, hydrobeds, tanning beds, oh AND you can bring a guest for free AS MUCH AS YOU WANT..... I've had 5 other gym memberships. Go try somewhere else if you don't like it. You people complaining are SLOPPY and WE don't want you at planet fitness anyways. Go to LA fitness and pay MORE for LESS and they STILL won't give you good customer service. Why don't you go try Lifetime Fitness and complain there while you pay from $60-150 per membership. At least you'll have a reason to complain then you NAGGING SLOPPY harlot. Sorry that the staff isn't jumping up to greet you. You ever consider maybe they aren't getting paid that much. MAYBE you're ugly, smell bad and have a bad attitude. So maybe it's YOU and not them..... coming from a current planet fitness member.
