What stands out to me the most is not the coaches…read more All of them are very, very knowledgeable yes, but what makes them stand out in my mind is their ability to foster a community that is so supportive of each other. From my first class their as someone who barely knew what Crossfit was I felt so welcome and the coaches and other athletes in the class enthusiastically met me where I was at and pushed me at my own pace towards my own aspirations. Beyond that, going to class was one of the parts of my day that I looked forward to the most simply because I would get to see the people that I quickly called my friends and the workout was an added bonus. The only reason I'm leaving the gym is because I have to move away for work, but it will be a part of my day that I truly miss!

I'm not a natural athlete. Never have been. I was that kid that actually tried to get hit during dodgeball so I could be out of the game and watch safety from the sidelines. So you can understand my wariness of crossfit and the "cult mentality" that makes it so easy to make fun of on social media. But wandering in those doors one afternoon last fall (knowing no one or nothing about crossfit) was one of the best happenstance events of my life. Me before Bombers: bony, underweight, with no muscle tone due to unhealthy restrictive eating, no knowledge of how to do anything with a bar, couldn't do one push up. Terrible lack of confidence in my coordination, body, and athletic abilities. Now? I've become so much more confident in myself both athletically and as a person. I eat more. I can do RX pull-ups, push ups, and even pistols (on one leg, that is. Still working on the other leg). I had to buy all new pants because of my quad gains. But most importantly? I've made some of the best friends I've ever had. The coaches at Bombers are incredibly kind, personable, and approachable. They WILL do whatever it takes to help you succeed. They're motivating, affirming, and just downright good people. Bottom line: It doesn't matter what your level of fitness is. Don't think you can't do crossfit because you're not at a "certain point." You CAN. And Bombers is the place to do it. Just show up.

True to his words, Jason offers customized fitness training that will get you to where you want to go. Whether it's to lose weight, be more fit, or become a competitive athlete. Jason's workouts are customized and tailored. He is an attentive and thorough trainer. I worked with Jason for over two years, and I never had one session in which I felt he was on "auto pilot". He was as attentive to my form and performance on my last workout with him as he was on my first. I started training with Jason, because I wanted to lose weight (as many do when they sign up with a trainer). In our initial consultations and workouts Jason asked and listen carefully to what I wanted and how I worked. He devised a workout program for me that focused on helping me get stronger and more fit. In short, Jason taught a grown adult (who had never exercised) how to exercise and incorporate it into part of everyday life. Jason gave me the tools I needed to appreciate fitness and enjoy it as part of a healthy and active lifestyle. Oh, and yes, I lost a bunch of weight in the process, but the weight loss pales in comparison to what I gained. If you are looking for a personal trainer, you need to look no further than Jason H.
