There is usually no parking at all and if the adjacent park is closed for the season I have no idea where you are suppose to put your car. This is the one major downside of this location. The facility themselves are quite clean albiet crowded at times on the weekend. There isn't too many places to sit down and wait for your kids to finish class. The pool itself is also smaller than other pools we have been to at other YMCA in Illinois. Overall I am happy we have not gotten a YMCA membership as it is not cheap and I can only imagine how it continues to be very crowded during the course of the week.

Sat down with Brad had a chat and decided to take the plunge. Best decision I have made in a very very long time. Tori has been amazing to work with. Tori has been on top of my nutrition and fitness and helping me understand how to manage that in an amazing way, she has always provided me with actionable items I can work on and guided me on how to manage my meals and relationship with food along with kicking my ass at the gym. Seriously though she has helped me tremendously on how to lift and work out effectively and correctly. She pushes me to always give my best and is a constant motivator. The sheer amount of knowledge on how to correctly manage nutrition and working out has been amazing and an eye opener. I could talk and talk and talk about all the amazing things this Gym is doing, but I'll end with a short personal journey: Before velocity my A1C (this determines if you are diabetic) was all over the place and was only in control due to meds like insulin, and when I worked out or played sports I would eventually injure myself due to bad form or doing things the incorrect way. After 12 weeks at Velocity - my blood sugar is the best shape it has been in a very long time (completely of insulin now), and I am having the best time working out I have ever had.
