I clarified all of these things verbally prior to signing but what was written in the contract was very different. They will scam you into paying more for longer. It is a shame because I signed up for Personal Training to better myself and to get stronger. I knew it was expensive but I felt it was well worth it. People in sales are truly the problem and will take advantage of anyone. However, Jose is an AMAZING trainer. But actually read the contract and do not take the sales guys word for anything.

I saw few results and honestly they were the opposite of what I wanted! So I google trainers and I was so lucky to have come across Kristine. The trainers from the national gym do not even come close to comparing. I have worked one on one with Kristine also attending a few of her boot camp classes. She also has devised a nutrition plan specific to me, my body and goals (now I gotta follow it lol) I have seen more results in the 3/4 months I have lost inches & body fat working at Karved with Kristine than in a year at the other place. She truly cares about her clients!! She takes notes every session keeping a log of progress, problems, concerns , goals ext. Any time I have a questions or concern she is on top of it !! I found Xcelerated Athletics on Facebook and met one of the owners on site to talk, ask questions and share my goals. I went for my first workout the very next day and never looked back. The coaches are experienced, knowledgeable and invested in the athletes. I love the option of joining scheduled workouts, or just having 24/7 access to the gym and equipment to set up your own routine and exercise schedule. The owner is on site most days and puts his heart into this gym. It really is a community of endless encouragement and support no matter your level of experience or skill.

I wasn't sure what to expect at first since I've only ever been to the big corporate gyms. My experience from the get-go was nothing but positive. The team here works with you from an all-around wellness approach. Two weeks after signing up, I ended up getting sick and felt derailed. But the kindness and care package that arrived in my mailbox from the team here was encouraging and immediately set the tone for the relationship I have with this gym. In the three months of working with Evan at L&L, I have made more progress than in all of the months no wait, years, of training elsewhere. Why? Well I think it comes down to the personalized, total-wellness approach. I like that you have an app that keeps you connected to your trainer and links with MyFitnessPal. This added layer of accountability has been great for me. I've logged into MFP for 100 straight days - more than ever before. And it is an encouragement when Katie sends you a message for sticking with tracking food. Speaking of which, I appreciate the approach of focusing on macros instead of just calories. This has helped me tremendously as I've been working on strength. I have started looking at food more as fuel for the body. Don't get me wrong, I still like to eat... but at least now I have a greater awareness of what is going to work for me. I have a customized program that is tailored to me. For as much as we work on getting stronger, there is significant time spent on pre-habbing and focusing on recovery. It's amazing what rest, lacrosse balls and foam rolling can do to improve movement. I haven't lost a whole lot of weight yet, but that goal has been set on the back burner as I realize how weight alone is not a great measure of wellness. There are multiple other measure of improvement, and I'm seeing those. You'll get out of it what you put in, but it seems easier to put in the effort when you have a supportive group of well-educated people rooting for you. I highly recommend at least checking Lion & Luxe out. They offer yoga and massage in addition to personal training. The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar, and VERY supportive. Their memberships and costs vary so can't speak to that. The staff here is decent - there is definitely better staff other places though. They offer tanning beds hydration beds and luxury chairs as one of their memberships. The place has just been remodeled too which is a plus.
