I ended my membership in March 2022 and received a call from a debt collector stating I owed over…read more$300. I had no choice but to pay and negotiated down to under $150. then in November 2024 received another call from a different debt collector stating I owed over $600 (I have not been a member in between these dates). I placed a call to the first debt collector to get proof that the account had been paid and closed, and they let me know that this has happened to hundreds of former members. When Anytime Fitness received checks from the first debt collector, they never attributed them to the accounts they came from, so when the second debt collector bought the debts, they bought the ones that should have been closed but haven't. I just submitted proof that this should have been closed and the second debt collector told me it will take between 25-30 days to process. Anytime Fitness is a horrendous company that is essentially stealing money from former members.

After I finally wetted my whistle, I asked about my Jameson. She told me I couldn't have it because I already had one drink. I asked if they served boilermakers. She said no. I asked if I could get a chaser with my shot. She said sure. Then she took my full Guinness, poured 8 oz into a glass, and dumped the rest down the drain. I tried to stop her, saying she should drink it herself or that I'd buy another chaser since my friend was joining me. But nope--she dumped it anyway. The excellent maintenance ensures that all equipment is impeccable and greatly enhancing the overall gym experience. There is a lot of space and more than enough weights that you won't be waiting for them. The trainers are some of the best in the city. This fitness center allows me to focus on my training because there's no pretense, no need for "cool" workout clothing, age is not a deterrent. My level of fitness and my goals are 100% respected. Unlike most gyms, almost all of the members here actually are on friendly terms and you'll probably be greeted by name at the door. This also holds me accountable to show up and keep me on my health goals. Its so easy to give up but this place gives you that extra push to keep going.
