This is a nice PF location. Black Spa facilities are good too! 2 hydro massage bed, 2 hydro massage lounge chairs, 2 massage chairs & tanning /red light available. I came in the evening on a Saturday about 1.5 hour before they closed & am satisfied with the machines used & black spa services. Not too crowded & diverse crowd as usual. Plenty of machines with high ceilings. AC keeps facility chilled. I realize now that those big machines in their Florida locations are AC machines to keep whole gym cold (thought it was just ugly thing sticking out). There are a decent amount of bathrooms, lockers & showers. Staff is friendly & nice! I never noticed that PF had merchandise. Their beverages are a good price, especially for Black Spa members. Also, I noticed if you decide after your workout to support nearby businesses, there is an açaí spot/juices & plenty food spots to grab a quick bite. read more

I'm a Black Card member who regularly visits the Planet Fitness Ocoee location and always spends time in the relaxation zone before heading out. I recently checked out the new lounge equipment at the Mount Dora location and was really impressed! Unfortunately, the Ocoee location just underwent a remodel. Still, it didn't receive any of the latest equipment they promised, such as the CryoLounge or the hydro lounge beds that sit upright rather than in full recline. Since the CryoLounge costs over $26,000, I think it's worth using my Black Card benefits to enhance therapy to my replaced knee. Still, Mount Dora is 45 minutes away, and I really wish Ocoee had upgraded with the new renovations. Location is only9 minutes from home is why I'm hesitant to go elsewhere. read more

I was at the gym with my cousin and it was my first time going to the gym and they got mad at us because my cousin was showing me some workouts so I could do them since it's my first time at the gym the lady working there was rude and kicked us out for absolutely no reason never going there again and at the end of the day I ended up going to crunch they were more than happy to let us work out. read more

Do not go to this PF! They harass you at the front desk, plus I believe there is an invasion of privacy happening when they sign you up. Plus cancelling is next to impossible as the "freeze" your account and you have financial responsibility instead of cancelling. It's a bait and switch situation. read more

First time PF member. I previously only used 24/hr Fitness (& in California, not here). Comparing to that, it's a much smaller facility (one story, & smaller footprint). They do pack a decent amount of stuff into that space, though! This branch has good machinery & a very nice Spa area for Black cardholders. 2 coin massage chairs, 2 hydro massage chairs, 2 hydro massage beds & numerous tanning beds. Been coming here for years, even before it expanded into its current size. And I'm really grateful for the options I have when working out, of which I've been consistent these past 2 years or so. The facility is clean and the staff is helpful. Also when the black card computer for massages/etc wasn't working with my BlackCard barcode, Jessica was helpful with assisting me with booking the hydro bed. Computer must have glitched or something. Might I add that bed (1) of the hydro massage seems to glitch around the glute area. Don't know why. Lay on it and you'll see what i mean. Additional things I like about this gym: hand sanitizer being available, the ability to choose music if I leave my earphones at my house, and the helpfulness from the staff. Depending on the time of day you go, you may not be able to hit all the machines you planned on doing. For the price, it's a great gym and very very clean. My only issue with this location is it's an older planet fitness and most of the equipment is out of date, some machines are even broken. The staff has been super nice on every encounter I have had with them, they did let me know they are in the process of updating some equipment. Gym area is good but I have been seeing the same piece of gum on the floor for a month now. Yuk! Also showers are not spacious and dirty and a slip hazard as they always have wet floors from shower curtains letting water out. If you are in between clubs I would try a different one. Plus today no signs or notices of all their showers being down and for a long period of time I was told for remodel. The positive hopefully they are better then they are now. read more

The membership is $10/mo. That 's the selling point for this place. It has the equipment. It's relativey clean (the ladies room is always a little dingy looking). Just don't expect any customer service. I was working out on one of the elipticals and had a question, I figured I would just grab one of the 3 employees who were up front when they walked by. 45 minutes later - no one had left the front desk where they were all sitting and chatting. My question went unanswered. As the owner, If you are paying 3 people to be there, at least one of those people should be walking around and making eye contact w/ your customers. Helping new members w/ the equipment, answering questions, and so on. But like I said, the membership is $10/mo. read more

The staff is always playing being loud. I had a work call that made me get off the treadmill and walk to the lobby. A gym I pay for I wasn't interrupting no one or being loud they were the ones being loud. They don't check to see if people are taken off their weights I don't ever see them whipping anything down. it always feels dirty. This is the only planet fitness I've ever been unhappy with. Instead of TVs at the treadmills, they have these little tablets that don't work and there's no airflow where the treadmills are no fans. read more

I think I should be a gym mystery shopper- and can I critique the crazy outfits people wear too?! Who know? Planet fitness is now my favorite gym of them all. I have been a member of 24 hour fitness, LA Fitness, You Fit, Bally's when it was around, Gold's and wallah Planet Fitness is the king of them all for me! Why is that? Well first - cost $10 -$20 monthly for one person to two or you can pay for the year and pay less. I pay $20 so I can visit multiple establishments and get the perks such as the hydromassage! Did I say massage?! Um yes, I did!!! They have a chair massager and a hydromassage machine at this location ( apparently not all locations have them..) Actually not just one but two!! So how about incentive to work out!!! I have been 3 days in a row, not just for my joy of working out but because I get to be relaxed by getting a massage all mixed in with my membership. Lots of cardiac machines, all the steppers, ellipticals, treadmills, swingers you can want, each equipped with a tv and a remote!!! There is an ab room, then there is a weight room with almost 2 of everything- dumbbells, free weights section etc! I am not sure what people are talking about maximum to 75 lbs that is just the maximum for a plate. This is a gym you go to work out and not to be seen...they don't tolerate the throwing of the plates and all the other foolishness ...love it! Notice the lunk alarm picture! Also addressing the other complaint of the water fountains in one area?! I mean really??!! They keep them there to help keep them regularly cleaned along with the restrooms ..and I mean by gosh people! You are at a gym to work out and you can't take a few extra steps to the water fountain? Seems a little bit oxymoronic to me! LoL Planet Fitness Ocoee keep the weights racked, machines and bathrooms cleans with showers etc. My understanding is this location has been expanded. It is my favorite new gym and the customer service is so friendly and amazing!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this gym- almost feel like I should go back and downgrade the other gyms, but hey when you know better you do better! Oh and they are open 24 hours on weekdays too! Ive been on and off with them for 5 years. And for 20 bucks a month I will probaly just keep them probably forever. The 24-5 operating hours is great. And 7-7 weekends is pretty good as well. Very flexible and great value. Ive been going to the one in metrowest for years. Now the ocoee one upgrade and its huge! Catching up and surpassing the metro club. Looks great and feels great, staff is always friendly and most of the members are easy going. read more

First of all the customer service agent at Ocoee Vanessa was rude and show no customer service. Yes, my wife and I called the Management team of Ocoee planet fitness and reported Vanessa but we found other issues with this company. They say they don't do any judging, but they do. We decided to cancel. We signed up on January 9 of 2020 and we canceled the account on January 12 of 2020. Mind you we never got our picture taken, so we are not even able to go inside the gym to work out. We did not want any part of planet fitness. They told us that the bill wouldn't come out until the 17th of January so we canceled way before the bill can come out. They still told us even we cancel they will still charge us on January 17. Wow! Since they renovated the entire place it's been great. So many machines, lots of space for the weights and a private workout area. They even have multiple water massage machines. I do wish they had things like Zumba, kickboxing, or other fun classes. read more

I felt really disrespected by how the Gym is dealing with the COVID situation. First they charged me the annual fee, even if nobody is going in person and them they refuse to refund it, even with all this crisis we are facing. In their defense, the manager said they e-mailed people about all this stuff, but it got mixed up with all the junk e-mail I was receiving from this company trying to up-sell things. No phone calls or letters in the mail. Second to cancel the membership you have to go in person or mail a letter, so no way to do it from home, which is basically they forcing me to expose myself to an unneeded sanitary risk. I'm definitely not coming back to planet fitness after this is over, just by how poor you guys handled this case. Having a full online channel to cancel and refunding people might not be an obligation, but that's quite the bare minimum I would expect from a business in times like this. You just made it clear that you only care about money. You guys need some business consulting on the value a client represents. Keep your undeserved 50$ and loose the rest of my value as a client forever and all the people I can get to. read more

How the mighty fall... Not sure what has happened in the last month but this place is starting to lose it's touch. Don't know if it's the new clientele (mass of new members by promotions and the issues over at LA Fitness) or the staff (seems like the staff has changed alot and been cut in half) but this isn't the same gym I have a 5 to. It's getting overcrowded, the staff DOES NOT greet you or say by anymore and they for sure don't walk around and police the 'gym-violaters'. After many years of not going to a gym because of always feeling like I was not good enough to go... or not built enough to go... I started to see commercials for Planet Fitness. They seem to understand the intimidation level that happens in standard gyms can scare many of us 'regular' folks away... and it does. So i decided to check them out and see if I could really fit in with the crowd that goes here. I went to this Ocoee location and was greeted by some great staff members. I was given a tour of the place and was told all my options about the standard membership or the fancy 'black card' membership. I was happy to see regular people working out here... young, old... heavy, skinny... straight, gay... it was a nice mixture of people. The place was clean and the hours fit my needs so i decided to try it out. I signed up for a black card membership and learned I had some fun perks with the upgraded version. Massage chairs, hydromassage tables and tanning beds are included with the better membership. I also signed up for one of their free trainer classes. It is in groups of up to 5 at a time and they show you around the gym and help you understand how to use the equipment if you have never used it before. Mike H. was my trainer and was super nice. So i have been going now for over a month and getting three days a week in. i do my cardio first and then some weight training. I never feel judged or bad about my weight and know there are many others like me in here trying to lose weight and get into some sort of shape. There are still a few 'lunk heads' in the gym but they are not as bad as other gyms I have been to. Us regular folk outnumber them 100 to 1... LOL... I am glad I signed up with Planet Fitness and they have made me feel welcome each time I have visited. Update: They have doubled the size of this place and now have a ton more equipment and space. Everything is brand new and it's never crowded during the day. I would recommend this place most highly, just be sure you want to stay forever and ever, because it's really hard and sometimes expensive to end a membership at Sunshine Fitness LLC-owned clubs. If you're really lucky, you'll be in the men's bathroom with this guy who walks around naked and repeatedly sings some line about "big boy" and "the lord." Maybe those are his names for some anatomical feature, maybe not. You find out. read more

I know I'm just saying what everyone else has said but what more can you say other than - it's $10/month! Its a huge place. Tons of ellipticals and tread mills and stationary bikes. I wish there were more assisted weight areas. Sometimes you have to wait to use the free weight stations. Bathroom/Locker Rooms are clean. This location is terrible--and that's a rating on staff as well as the facilities. I wish I could give it negative stars. Staff: management and normal staff are extremely unhelpful, and contradict each other. I had a June to June contract. I called in January to ask about cancellation fees, because I was moving. I was told that it would be better to just opt out of renewal, instead of cancelling, because the $10.65/mo through June would be about the same price as cancelling outright, and plus I would be able to use the gym in the meantime when visiting. Cancellation couldn't be done over the phone anyway, it had to be done in person or through the mail. Fine. The next time I came in, I told the person at the front desk I wouldn't be continuing with the membership after I left, and asked what date I could use the gym until. They told me mid-June, I asked if there was anything else I had to do, the answer was no. Fast forward, it's now July. I had been seeing the $10.65/mo come out of my account through June, I figure, okay, I can take that hit. Fine. Then I see a $40+ fee from Planet Fitness. WHY. I call, explain, the person rambles and finally comes around to saying they're not a manager, please call back. When I finally get a hold of a manager, now suddenly I'm told that I never cancelled in the first place, and there's a form that needed to be filled out in order to get out of this auto-renewal?? And this is the first time I'm hearing about this BECAUSE? I hadn't been in for while, but I been in more than enough to be told about this stupid form. And oh, "we don't do refunds", so I'm paying an annual fee for the maintenance of a gym that's subpar and that I haven't even used in months? So obviously I'm unhappy with the fact that apparently this dumb fee is non-refundable, so I ask them to tell me EVERYTHING I have to do to make sure I don't keep getting billed for this awful membership. Send a letter? Come all the way to Ocoee?? THEN I am told, oh, now I can cancel over the phone. Why can I cancel over the phone now when before I had to come in or send in a letter? I feel like no one knows what the heck is going on. AND when you're using the circuit the people are so annoying--literally you will be the only one in there and if you skip one of the numbers someone will come up and say that you have to wait at the next station until the green light is done, even when literally the place is DEAD empty. Facilities: half the time there were multiple machines out of order, so you had to wait *forever* to get the one you want, it always smelled terrible (even though I suppose that's to be expected), and the parking was atrocious. Multiple times I came to the gym and circled the parking lot for 15+ minutes before giving up and just going home. Oh, and the "personal training" that they do in lieu of classes? There is literally just the one guy, and he's always so busy I don't think I ever even got the chance to consult with him once in 6 months. I know the $10.65 price tag seems tempting, but seriously, just DO NOT. Unless you hate yourself and want to make a stupid gym membership the bane of your existence. This is seriously the worst experience I've had with a gym, ever, and I've been a member of four or five in Central FL. Don't. Join. read more

The first time my family tried to use our membership the friendly here to help attitude of the staff was GONE. My boys were asked to leave and when I went into ask the reasoning (which was misrepresented at sign up) I was met with the "let me tell you" lady. I really like this Planet Fitness and have been a member for the past few years. I've never had any issues with the gym itself or any of the staff members. They are always very welcoming and always look happy to see you. The facility is also very clean and you do see the staff walking around wiping down the equipment and doing some light dusting. Since the start of the year they finally made the gym 24/7 instead of 24/5 which is a big improvement. Only complaints (which aren't that big of a deal) would be to have newer equipment such as the elliptical which is my go to cardio workout. Also a few of the paper towel stations, the towel dispenser is no longer on the wall and have been for a few months so it would be nice if those could be replaced. Other than that this is one of the best PF I've been to in the area. :) read more

I gave this gym 4 stars solely because of how small it is compared to other PF locations. The exercise floor has half of the space some other PF locations have and the men's locker room (I can only speak from a male perspective here) is very small. This gym is located in a strip mall and is not a standalone location, so that is most likely the reason for the space issue. Other than the overall size of the gym, this place is great! The staff are friendly and courteous and are always available to talk to or to get advice and tips from. The clientele are for the most part down-to-Earth, friendly, and socially outgoing. You'll spot the occasional meat-head here, but as much as PF tries to make the gym unwelcoming to them, they always find a way in. Overall, it's a great gym if you know anything about PF's company and membership information and are looking for a low-key place to work out! read more

I've been to so many different Planet Fitness locations and this is absolutely my all time favorite! The facility is always super clean, the staff is the absolute best (extremely friendly, helpful, and always so welcoming), and the equipment on its own is just better than most. My husband and I go at like 3am when no one is really here. There's an employee named Tyler that's usually there and he is the greatest, he should get a raise!! He's so nice and so easy to have a conversation with, we really appreciate him talking to us and taking the time to let us know he remembers us each time! If I could give a zero, I would. This place is disgraceful! Do not get mixed up with this gym, especially this location. They put on a good show, but then they will rob you blind. Manager is disrespectful Etc. Etc. One of their worst elements is that they do not properly notify people when they will charge their annual fee. And if you bring it up to them the.very next working day, they will tell you it is too late. Too late for what I asked? Too late to be reimbursed your annual fee on the second working day of the new year is what I was told. Not to mention that they hadn't been opened and I was not able to use the gym for over 3 months due to COVID leading up to the annual fee being charged. I get closing because of COVID, but how about properly notifying customers when you decide to charge the annual fee after being closed for over three months. Even Disney and Universal extended annual passes for the time they weren't/aren't providing services. Planet Fitness could have followed their lead, but instead they decided to screw their patrons. I have heard plenty of other horror stories about PF and this specific location (in Ocoee). So this isn't a random event. They are just bad to the core. I was disappointed when they got rid of the free weight bench and the free weight curl bars, but it still wasn't enough to make me go back to terrible LA fitness. Overall I like this gym.
