I had to try this place because it's closest to my work. The neighborhood is pretty busy and seems maybe at one time it was a little bit sketchier. But I'm always willing to try something once. I actually really liked this location! They had a lot of room to spread out. Lots of space for equipment. I really liked that the stretching area was a pretty good size and it's easy for a few people to be in there at one time. That is critical because a lot of my workouts don't need machines nor just straight up cardio. Lots of room in the PF360 space as well to do everything I needed. Overall I thought the locker rooms were clean and everyone was just minding their own business and doing their own thing. It got pretty busy after four o'clock on a Monday but can't complain about that as that is pretty typical of the gym experience. Definitely will try again read more

I said 3 stars great job! when I walked in the gym it was a great big difference!! The gym looked someone was taking pride in being part of the team! The floor was shining, bathroom, total body machine wow that was really cleaned! However when I finished with total body I think the young ladies at the desk realized I was julie Applegate! I come out of total body! I wanted to Tan! she said I could not tan because I have been restricted! I have been doing it that way for years! total body and tan ! never have I been restricted! the young lady at the desk acted like she was scared to tell me that! so now im going to have to find out why restricted ! I have been trying for three years to cancel my membership. They have charged me continually for the three years even after me calling multiple times explaining that when Covid hit I had to leave arizona and move to Florida to live with family. I called today on May 31, 2023 and the club employees were all very rude and hung up on me and the manager refused to come to the phone. read more

Consider it for what it is and you won't be disappointed. Staff was really friendly. Gym was in good shape, clean and newer equipment. If you're looking to lose weight this place is perfect. However, if you're looking to build mass you may be limited. My only complaint would be younger guys hogging gym equipment. I literally waited almost 15 minutes for a smith machine....A smith machine. Felt like I lost all my pump by the time I actually got to use one and that was from 2 larger guys next to the kid that I waited so long for. Overall not a bad place to break a sweat. read more

I've been to a few locations and this by far is my favorite. One of the biggest reasons is the layout of the gym. They also have the massage chairs and a few extra perks versus other locations I've been too which is nice when you have the black card membership. The only down part of this location is how busy the area is, but it's not a reason to rate them less. The staff is friendly and helpful the gym itself is clean and comfortable. I was a member of PF in Surprise and was always impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities even before covid. I have since moved and so I have tried this location twice. I encountered machines not working properly, machines in disrepair and gross bathrooms. I really enjoy the 30 minute circuit but was disappointed to find one machine has torn vinyl arm rests... can't be sanitized. Gross. One of the leg machines didn't work properly. The women's bathroom had toilet paper on the floor, unclean floors and a sign outside of it starting that a male employee was in there cleaning but I didn't see anyone in there at all. The front desk people are not friendly and they stand around instead of cleaning the place. I'm not going back. Gross. read more

I am scared to workout at this gym. My truck was broken into. I had my truck facing the main road on Thomas. Went in the gym at 4:30 pm at 6:39 pm walk to my Truck the passenger window was shattered and nobody did not see anything and it was still daylight. I refuse to go there because my bad experience. The good: They do a good job keeping it clean, there's tons of cardio equipment and even when it's busy it's doubtful you'll have to wait. The machines are always in working order from what I can tell. The bad: The staff kinda doesn't care - when I picked up my card a few months ago, I was never offered any kind of tour or even a run-through of how to sign up/use the gym. When I asked the third time going into the gym about some of the features of the black card (like I want to use the massage chairs, hello??) they were dismissive and seemed irritated that I was bothering them. I found another PF near my work and use that one instead. This place needs more free weights or to police the curlbros, desperately. They let guys just sort of clog up certain areas of the gym for an hour at a time. read more

This gym is clean and the staff members are always courteous. I recommend planet fitness to anyone who is serious about exercising. Plenty of machines, free weights and other type of exercise equipment like CrossFit. So if your serious and want to exercise. This is a very good place. The massages are also great after a workout. Yes it does have it's busy hours but I use the usage meter on my app and adjust my schedule. I have never missed a good workout due to unavailability of equipment. read more

I went to this location 4 times. This gym is dirty. You can see dust on the machines. No one cleans the machines after use... You can see sweat or grease marks on equipment. I never even seen the employees cleaning the machines. It's also hot in that gym. I asked if they could turn down AC or turn up the fans, they never did. I also wanted to use the massage beds. No one was at front desk for 20 mins. I will not be returning back to the Thomas location. read more

Background : I usually go here around 8-9pm to do strength. I do cardio in the morning somewhere else. I've been going here for last 3 weeks. I go to Avondale and one more to the east alternatively, so I can compare these. People come here are very caring and respectful. They always wipe after themselves. Well, not everyone but most of people, just like other places. But the problem is that they run our of paper around 10pm. Have I seen them refilled? Not once. Maybe they do it at the midnight. But what about people workout around 10-12 then? (Me). Can't wipe even I want to. Trash bins are filled and over flowing. I witnessed it many times. Where you at, maintenance? Clerks don't forget to refill water in the fridge though. Another problem I have with this place is the placement of the machines. They have dumbbells, barbells, Smith machines, cable machines, and chest and shoulder press machines on one side of the building. I forgot that there is a leg press machine. Such a random machine in the area. Weird. Then in the other side of the building, there are all the machines that workout arms, shoulders, legs, abs, back, and everything else. In between these two areas is huge field of cardio. With this setup, forget your supersets for your arms and shoulders. I had to bring DB and barbell to the other side of the building all the way across the cardio field and bring back after finished. Total of 7 trips. Awesome. Want to change weight? Forget it, it's too far between sets. Such a bad setup. I know it's not for hard workout people but I would think people in the gym industry at least have common sense on how to setup things for efficient and effective workout for those who don't have any idea. Oh, and this is not just this location but for all the Planet Fitness. I really like all the machines that they have. I'm a short person. Anything I have to sit down and adjust sit, they are not enough. I have been to many gyms and there are most ladies workout here than other gyms. Ladies are usually shorter than me or about same. With the sittings not properly set, these people will injure themselves. It says on the machines. They should have extended sit or more widely covered adjustable sit machines. Hope this kind of review is overlooked and help this business do better and be more successful. read more

I just resigned my long term Planet Fitness membership after being hassled by one of the staff members. I have been using a water bladder backpack for quite a while and I put my cell phone in the pack and use it to stream Pandora workout music. Today, when I went to get on a treadmill one of the staff members informed me I would have to leave the floor because bags of all types and cell phones were not allowed in any workout areas. I don't talk on my phone neither do I remove my pack during my workout. They refused to reconsider and therefore I resigned my membership. I hope they read this review and reconsider their policies but in the meantime I will be looking for another gym whose policies are not so asinine. read more

This gym is trash with their unnecessary policies. For example no gallons of water, no bags, certain attire is not allowed. If you are serious about your fitness goals or an athlete go else where like EOS or Blast Fitness, they are just as cheap, with more equipment and flexibility. read more

Wow this place must be over flowing with members. Because their customer service is just nasty! I went in yesterday. Wanting to sign up, because it's open 24/7, and my current gym is only open to 11pm so sometimes I find myself rushing my work outs. Anyway, the young lady that helped me literally spent 2 minutes going over the payments, showed no interest what so ever in having me as a member. And went right back to talking to her co-worker about planning her birthday party, as if I wasn't even standing there. I expressed to her I had never been here before. Horrible customer service experienced here yesterday. So bad that I sat in my car and contemplated going back in to cancel everything I had just signed up for. I walked in and was told to sit at a table and someone would come talk to me about signing up. I sat there for almost 10 min waiting, meanwhile people who walked in after me for the same reason were helped right away and talked to about prices at the counter. When the girl finally did come over, she rushed through the explanation of memberships and kept looking away while she was rattling on like she was more focused on someone/something else. When I asked questions about what the hydro massage was like, she answered "um, it's a water massage...." Like duh, I know that but could you be more descriptive. She handed me a paper to fill out when I decided to go with the black card membership and said she'd be right back and went to talk to someone else that was waiting at the next table. I filled out the paper with my bank info and waited....and waited...finally a guy came up and said "have you been helped?" I told him I was given this paper and she disappeared. He told me all the computers up front were taken so he'd bring me an iPad to finish signing up. As he walked over with the iPad, the phone rang. He answered the phone and put the iPad down in front of me and pointed at it for me to fill everything out and he walked away on the phone. So once again I fill this info out, which was the same info I had just written on the first paper, and I sit there waiting. Meanwhile, those people who had been helped at the counter were being told about the facilities and going on a tour. Then, finally a 3rd person yells across the counter to me "what size shirt?" I didn't even realize she was talking to me at first until she yelled it again. She brought me a shirt and told me to come to the counter so she could take my picture and give me my black card. After that she says, " ok, you're good to go." I asked if I was supposed to get a tour and she literally says, "oh, you want a tour?" It clearly says on the website 'come in for a tour when you get your shirt and card.' I said "well, I don't know where anything is, so I'd appreciate one." And she yells AGAIN across the gym to the guy who is giving the 2 other people who came in after me a tour and says, "Gilbert... Her! (While pointing at me) I guess she wants a tour too!" He stopped and looked at her like it was going to be an inconvenience so I told her never mind, I would find my own way around. I am so disappointed in the way I was treated. It was not a personable experience nor a friendly one. I was made to feel like I was in their way and an inconvenience to them. It seems like they had a bunch of preoccupied teenagers running the place. Obviously I will go back because I just signed a year long contract but I'm not happy about it. read more

I use this location on the weekend sometimes. It's usually not too crowded and they have a decent amount of equipment compared to some of the other locations. There usually isn't many machines that are down which is nice and the gym is kept pretty clean. read more
