The staff are always friendly, people leave you alone to do your exercises and we feel like we're doing everything we can to stay healthy at this stage of life We like the black card amenities and a nice quiet area with comfy chairs to relax if you like. This is my Favorite Planet Fitness. Ive been coming here for over a year and also visited other locations but this is home for me. It's never overly crowded when I go, the staff is nice and consistently cleaning or disinfecting something . As you know, that is huge in a gym because everyone doesn't clean their machines after each use as they should. The variety of machines is good for me although there is a machine I wish they had that is at other competitive gyms. During my workout yesterday , I was also grateful for the ginormous fans in the ceilings. Parking at this location is always available no matter what time you choose to go. read more

Today I returned after six months off for PT. So disappointed in the new floor plan layout of the machines. Who or what team put that together? It seems like people that don't really understand working out! In the hour I was there today 2 other clients working out near me on 3 different machines were complaining also. The worst was the bikes are way back from the TV's. 60 minutes in one spot is a long time to not have something to watch and take your mind off just plain old pedaling. And who ever thought that the "Fast Workout" machines should be in the middle of the room! Not a good move at all! I could mention more but figure this will fall on deaf ears, especially if they go to the very people who did the design in the first place. I ended up here because I was in the area and I needed to go to a local planet fitness to get my stuff in. Location has plenty of parking and as you walk in, make sure to go to the left to the locker rooms. Locker rooms were a very good size and very clean. Machines are also well working and in good order. I like this place because it has a very large stretching area which I need. Lots of the other stretching areas in other planet fitness locations are too small and too crowded with people. This one was good though. I went twice and I was very pleased with it. If it wasn't so far from home, I would return more often. read more

I locked up my gym bag and clothes in a locker at 4:51pm on Tuesday, Feb 21st, at Planet Fitness on 32nd St & Greenway. Before I was finished working out, I was getting fraud calls on my credit card. I went into the locker room and my lock was gone, with a piece of it laying on the floor. My pants, including wallet and keys were gone, as well as my entire gym bag. It wasn't real busy, and I was only there for an hour and a half, so surely they can give the video to the police. But no, go figure, the cameras weren't recording that day. Seriously? Of course, they couldn't look up how many members had checked in during that time, either. The place was almost empty, I'm sure it would be a short list. I'm just glad that the thieves didn't go ahead and take my car as well. At least not yet, they still have a key and address from my ID, as well as what gym I go to. It might be time to look for a new gym. **I did file a police report, and my main issue is that there is no video footage because the cameras were not recording. I was counting on that to have the thief identified.** read more

Beware of this location. DO NOT use the locker rooms to place your belongings in. eleven with a lock, lockers are being ripped off the hinges and belongings stolen. The staff doesn't even care that this is happening. Very poor customer service. After a long time off from going to the gym, and gaining some weight, I decided to prioritize my health and purchased a Planet Fitness membership online. Given the brand of the company, as being "inclusive" and "caring" I anticipated that the staff would be welcoming and kind. Boy, was I wrong. On my first day at the gym, I had to navigate their new check-in system, which is all online now. The goth-like girl behind the check-in counter could not have been more rude, dismissive, and even mocking in her tone with me. I was absolutely shocked and saddened by this behavior and by the obviously terrible customer service training at Planet Fitness - So much so, that I decided to cancel my membership immediately. Here's the thing, if ANY company decides to treat their customers like this, it's our responsibility to *walk away* and vote with our dollars - Just as I have, in finding a new gym, with a courteous staff, who care about receiving my business. I don't know if it's a "GenZ" issue or a training issue, but the free market will ultimately decide the fate of these massive corporations who treat their customers in such inhuman and thoughtless ways - They will learn, the hard way, as many other terrible companies have in the past, that customers will move along and spend their money elsewhere. read more

This location is fine-they have the new machines and a new set up and it works well. It's not generally busy and I am comfortable working out here. There are a couple of issues that bug me, however. 1) Dress code-I saw a woman today who was wearing a BRA with leggings. Not a sport bra/top, not a bathing suit top, and actual bra. There were several with very skimpy "strappy" tank tops also. Sign by the small lockers clearly says NO strappy tank tops yet they check in and no one says anything. 2) On one visit, in the circuit training area (before they moved the machines out of that room), there were NO paper towels for cleaning. I informed someone at the desk (there were 4 employees behind the desk, standing around); at the end of 30 minutes, no one had come to refill the towels so I went looking for some. The next closest cleaning station was at the end of a row of treadmills-no paper towels there either. I informed the desk yet again and eventually, someone did fill them (there were still 4 employees hanging around behind the counter). Frequently there is someone going from station to station emptying trash, filling the spray bottles and and checking that towels are plentiful (also vacuuming and dusting the machines) but some days, like that one in particular, I never saw even ONE employee do that. 3) Last but definitely not least are the disgusting members who can't be bothered to wipe down a machine after using it. It's getting worse and I would think employees are empowered to correct them. I know they need to see it happening, but if they aren't doing anything constructive (which seems to be the norm) they why are they not keeping an eye on things? I will be changing locations in the near future (due to a move) and hoping the next location have higher standards. BTW I have been a member of one PF club or another since 2002. PS-if someone is going to respond, please be sure that person actually reads the review before answering. I come to this gym when the other ones have peak hours and are somewhat full. This gym always has available equipment without any weight. Cardio equipment is also always available. They have enough hydro beds and massage chairs so you never have to wait to get a massage. The staff is nice although distant, not particularly personable but that's ok. They always help when needed and the self scheduling system for massage and tanning sessions is a great plus if you are into avoiding human interaction. read more

Brand new! I move every three months for work and so I switch my planet fitness membership regularly to the place I'm at. As a person speaking from having seen multiple locations across the country, this is the best looking planet fitness I've been to so far! The place is super clean and you can tell it's new. The shower area in this gym is awesome! The showers are long and each shower has a private section so you can undress and leave your things while not getting wet! $10 bucks a month plus annual fee makes this an awesome bargain. Make sure you read all the rules though, which are clear, if you ever want to cancel you have to do it at the gym you are currently a member of. You cannot do it after you've moved over the phone, or at a different planet fitness. I've noticed this is a common complaint. Also, they provide lockers so you cannot keep your gym bag with you. This is another rule, but i also find, a common complaint. Bottom line: if you are looking for a basic gym membership, this will do! read more

Phoenix-32nd St and Greenway Rd is just horrible. I was tanning and as soon as I got in the bed, the lid Would not stay closed. So I stand there naked talking to the front desk thinking they would switch me over to another bed being only two minutes had passed of me fighting with a lid. What a bunch of hateful people arguing with me And telling me to stick my arm out and hold the lid down while I'm tanning. I have to say this is not the first time I've had to tell them about this dysfunctional tanning bed. They informed me they couldn't switch me to another bed for another 24 hours and if I had a better attitude they might would do it, that was Alex. My guess is he is the interim person in charge being the manager doesn't work weekends. I have never been so rudely treated and insulted in my entire life. This is all hypocrisy to what your slogan and motto is. By the way, I have spoken with this front desk about the Cleanliness of this facility many times. It's always dirty, the tanning beds are always filthy. A fungus waiting to happen. By the way don't pass the buck and responsibility to my home gym , deal with your own issues! My home gym is perfect. You are dodging your responsibility of someone on your staff insulting me. I'm taking this to corporate. I brought my daughter in to Planet Fitness because she had lost her membership card. The employee at the front desk did not have an answer phoning somebody else who couldn't be bothered to answer the question. I asked that that employee come up to the front desk, which he did, reluctantly, but still did not answer my question about the membership card, and rudely turned away pretending I was not there. Then he asked me to leave which I did. The problem is with the management of this location. I called them, asking the same question and citing poor treatment by their employees. I did not receive an answer from the management. I still don't have resolution to my daughters lost membership card. Planet Fitness still charges me monthly payments, but does not allow my daughter access to the location. I see a number of one-star reviews about this Planet Fitness location. Since the management is bad, then nothing is going to change. You will see a "Customer Service" reply posted to this message from "Business Manager". All you really need to know is that that manager already had a chance to reply and did not. Planet Fitness postings here are meaningless. The truth is that Planet Fitness at 32nd Street / Greenway sucks. read more

I have had nothing but positive experiences here! From my first visit after joining online, and the friendly front desk person showed me around. It's never too crowded and all the staff are super friendly and polite. Shout out to trainer Richard who helped me create a program that I can follow since I want to get more than just cardio. It's very important for the front desk people to welcome their guests and make them feel welcomed. I've had good experiences with almost everyone behind the desk. They say hello when you walk in and tell you to have a great day when you walk out. However, the past couple of times I have walked in there is a young girl and she doesn't say hi, checks you in and slams the scanner on the counter. I wanted to upgrade my membership and she told me she doesn't know how to and just went back to her phone while shoving food in her face. You can tell she's there for a paycheck and not to actually work. After my workout I went up to the other guy behind the counter and told him I wanted to upgrade my membership and he said "she can help you with that" I told him that she told me she doesn't know how to. When I walked up she was on her phone. She needs to go. Also she wears pimple patches on her face while at work. She needs to go!! read more

I went to this location today as my regular Planet Fitness is closed temporarily for renovations. This is the only other location I've visited, aside from the 3rd Str & Bell location. I have to switch locations every month or so right now for school/work stuff and this has been one of my favorite locations in the past year. I go pretty early in the morning before work and they're always taking out trash and stocking the paper towels and sanitizer bottles. The place is very clean and I love the showers. They're very large and have an extra area where you can dry off and change. I think the only downside to this location is there is no scale, but it's not like that's a deal breaker for the typical gym experience. read more

Went in with my mom to get a quick workout. When checking in " Richard " checked me in , as he saw that my account was behind 4 days , he immediately raised his voice as i saw people in the treadmill look back at us told me about my deliquent account ( four days ). After telling him i had a new card and had to change it , he went ahead and asked me how do you say " he is trying to be slick " in Spanish. I told him i don't know and he kept asking " how would you say it ". I am white skin , my mom is hispanic looking. Told him couple times i don't know and he kept insisting. After i told him how " i would say it " he tried repeating it in a sarcastic accent and called me bonito and laughed while he said sorry i didn't mean to say that. Disappointed that i received this treatment in the " No judgement zone ". Do yourself a favor get a membership somewhere else. read more

I've been a Black Card Member for well over two years, I've frequented several locations and had very pleasant experiences every single time. I've heard horror stories about Planet Fitness gyms being very strict on rules but I never experienced any issues. I usually laughed and brushed them off as rumors... until now. Full Disclosure: To my delight this facility opened up early this year it's about 7 min from my house which is super convenient for me since the primary hours I work out are usually 4-5 in the morning. The staff in the AM are always super friendly and I have nothing bad to say about the actual facility or equipment. The bad experiences came only with the Assistant Manager on duty. Each instance was of my dissatisfaction, he has nit picked at me for something Music, no bags and most recent my hip thrust pad. This pad is for my safety not just another piece of equipment...It's extremely frustrating to be told I can't have this or that, I thought this was a no intimidation zone but this is not the vibe from this gym when he's on duty. Unfortunately I do like to work out on Saturday mornings and this is usually when he's on duty. It literally makes me so tense and honestly at this point It's almost easier to drive a little farther for a workout. There has not been a time I have came in when this young man wasn't happy to help you or spark up a conversation. I was going to the new one in Queen Creek before moving to Scottsdale and both facilities have been equally as clean and doesn't smell like BO or Mold at All!! Every time I've been into this planet fitness ive always seen at least one team member cleaning! If I could give no rating I would. This was probably the worst experience I have been a black card member with planet fitness since 2014. My regular location is closed and I was advised we could go to any location because of the circumstances. We walk in and we were instantly rudely greeted by Mallory. I gave her my card and then she says to my sister and yours she looks up her account and goes oh you can't use this location. We kept asking why and she was snobby, rude and she needed to have better hygiene.We spent about 10 mins asking how we can fix this and she had no response just attitude. Didn't even offer to get a manger or anything. We asked someone name Isaiah for the cooperate number because we are going to complain he says we don't have it. This is ridiculous customer service I will definitely be switching to a different gym who can help long term customers with respect and kindness. read more
