Overall, this gym is a pretty dang good option for the price you pay for the membership. The spaces are clean, the staff is usually very friendly, and they are located in a fairly well positioned spot with a lot around them. The downsides to this gym, in my opinion, are the lack of certain equipment including the smith machines, the chest fly machine, and the benches in the free weights area. Depending on the time of day, this gym can become quite busy and it can be tough to fit in all of the exercises I would like due to the volume. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this gym if you are looking for a basic gym at a cheaper rate. It is still one of the better options for the price point it currently sits at with membership prices. read more

One hefty star for location. One for how NEW everything still is. Staff...well let's see day one the only employee who said hi was one from my home gym (it is closed for updates,) and no one said peep as far as goodbye or anything else. Second time in the manager checked me in and it was SUPER awkward because she took me to a scanner that was directly in front of two other people??? She wasn't nice, wasn't even attempting kindness, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Again NO ONE said peep when I left etc. Third check in, Julie, who I noticed was a new employee, said hello and was super friendly when I went to use the Black Card Spa. Again no hello at check in. And Julie actually said have a good day when I left. I also didn't notice the employees doing much cleaning. Or filling up of the sanitizer bottles. I DID see the Beaverton trainer, Michelle, doing that. Tigard, Y'ALL NASTY. Thus gym is OPEN, bright, NEW!!!! And I cleaned the Smith machine bars (the ones ABOVE the bench, which lots of us use to stretch,) 5 times. 5. With fresh paper towels and cleaning solution the last two, and I couldn't break through the layers of sweat and skin cells left on there. Ewwwwwww. Guys people using weights (especially,) sweat. Clean that up y'all NASTY. The tops of the 360 and cables were also LADEN in dust which I KNOW is cleaned several times a day at my home gym. I was really grossed out and no one had clearly maintained the locker rooms across the 4 hours I was there (WTF really?) I'm 1000% sure PF encourages clean clubs. It isn't rocket science. I tried Sherwood today and it's a breath of fresh air. I hope the owners see this review because YUCK!!! read more

the biggest reason I am working out at the Tigard planet fitness, is my trainer Marci. She keeps things interesting, keeps me motivated with challenging workouts, and is accommodating when necessary. Without Narci I would certainly not go to the gym on a regular basis, which is 3 times each week. In fact, I would most likely not continue my membership. I hope you will do whatever it takes to continue employing her. She truly is an inspiration! read more

I've had my fair share of gyms and this one is my favorites by far. It's HUGE, and every time I've gone it's never busy. And when it is slightly busy, I've always been able to find the machines I need without waiting. The gym is always clean, and the guests are always good at cleaning the equipment / machines too. The bathrooms are super clean as well! The employees do a great job at up keeping this place which is very much appreciated! I love having my workouts here, I feel safe as a woman and comfortable. Top Notch facility all the way. They've got a great inventory of equipment, they keep it in working condition, they keep it clean, and they keep the cleaning stations well stocked. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and Patricia, in particular, always makes sure everyone gets a friendly greeting, a welcoming smile, a word of encouragement, and a great start to their workout. I am so impressed. I am an avid gym-goer and I've had a membership at 24 in Tualatin for over a decade. I recently cancelled that membership because I started at a studio doing classes and I decided to give planet fitness a try to supplement my classes because of its low cost. I went on a Saturday evening just before dinner time and was surprised how empty it is. On top of that, all the machines were clean, brand new, and the bathrooms were spotless. Not sure if this is a new location (it says "now open" on a banner outside) but if it is, it shows. It is far nicer than the 24 hour fitness supersport in tualatin and the one downtown. Most of the squat racks were empty and there was plenty of space at the dumbbell racks. Shoutout to whoever is in charge of this planet fitness. It's hard to keep a gym so clean and organized and whatever they're doing is working. The employees checking me in looked young but they were so incredibly nice and professional. I highly recommend anyone to sign up at this location no matter if it's your first time at a gym or you've been going for years!! read more

My boyfriend left his former gym after there was a management change. So he signed up with another one but it wasn't as convenient since it was further away from the Bull Mountain area. But after Planet Fitness opened at off of Pacific Hwy in the Tigard Towne Square, he gave it a try and really likes it. It is very spacious, has lots of equipment, and has a great environment. The best part is there are extremely affordable membership options so he keeps both and so has more options for working out. read more

Good equipment and very affordable. My only gripe is the staff behind the counter. They seem to be more involved in their own personal conversations vs. helping the customer. Natasha specifically made me question my membership when she failed to acknowledge me waiting to ask a question. She had been in a heated conversation with another employee. When she did finally recognize that I was waiting, she was very snarky. My advice to management: Remind your staff that the customers keep the lights on. read more

Really nice new gym in Tigard. TONS of machines and staff there to help. I've never had to wait for a machine no matter what time I worked out. I have the Black Card and feel it's totally worth it. They are still working out the kinks and I wish they had spray tanning at this location, but otherwise it's a great experience working out there. I would definitely recommend it! *Basing this review and comparing it to the Planet Fitness I belonged to in California. This location is 20x better!! read more

Portlanders - not the gym for you if you want to watch local sports. ‍ Big and clean, staff is hit or miss. Generally friendly but frequently unable to answer questions. Absolutely horrid management. I'm a veteran with an auto ammune consideration and ptsd. This gym was supposed to help in regards to that. When covid happened I was no longer able to use the facility and requested a cancellation on those grounds. I have a month to month membership with no contract. When I talked to manager he was very rude, unhelpful, and borderline hostile. They're requiring that I show up in person or send a letter. Since I can't make it in person I sent a letter. Which mysteriously got lost. I just want to cancel my membership to this gym I can't use and have never even been inside. Absolute scam... don't join this gym. read more

This place is so much nicer than the one in Murrayhill- I make the extra drive because this location is HUGE- and bright and CLEAN and the Black Card section is so much nicer with more options. The desk people are young but helpful and I didn't see or hear a single person on their phone- it was glorious. If you gotta work out you might as well workout someplace nice- come here. read more

Manager picked me out of all the others lifting weights completely massless (I had pulled mine down to BREATHE for two seconds) and scolded me for taking my mask down. I will be cancelling my membership because as I pointed out to her, I wasn't the only one "without a mask on" but she seemed to completely disregard that. I was also the only woman, and am slightly on the heavier side, and felt incredibly embarrassed and uncomfortable with the situation. I also get harassed by the men around me in this gym in particular and have had it laughed off by both male and female workers. SO judgement free that predators are allowed to freely photograph, video, and verbally bother and make women feel unsafe in this gym. NOT a good location, but, it is Planet Fitness after all... read more

Rude staff , was so excited to try a new gym and all those hopes were shot down by the terrible staff and extremely uncomfortable environment. Terrible people and establishment, I recommend anyone to stay far as you can away from any planet fitness especially this location. Your better off paying for an overpriced membership at 24 hour fitness than ever going here , which I had to find out through my experience unfortunately. This site has a lack of leadership when issues are reported to him. He will not investigate cleanliness or face covering issues. In addition, when asked the process to cancel the membership, he will give faulty date information. This leads to having to pay a buyout fee. Beware if you consider this location. read more

Out of all the planet fitness' I've been to, this one is nicest one so far. The machines (elliptical, stair stepper, bikes, etc) have built in TV's and fans which is nice if you need an extra way to cool off while working out. The staff are welcoming and it's a positive place to work out. It was easy to change my home gym to this one, and I will definitely stay for a long time! read more

I love this gym! It's brand new, all new machines, and staff seems nice so far. I love how many machines they have and the fact that they have everything out for the synrgy area! My last planet fitness in California had 4 stair masters and this one has 8! I've never had to wait for a machine. The staff does a great job of keeping the gym clean. I also love that they are open 24 hours 7 days a week unlike my previous gym. I'd recommend this location to anyone. read more
