It's getting much better now that they have new machines and expanded the floor. I can now get on the cable and smith machines and I guess the crowds have changed up a bit, so I can get on with my routines. I also come in around 4AM, which has a limited crowd and after 9PM, which is also good and looks much cleaner than before. But, don't go, I like this way now, too keep it less crowded or go after 5AM and before 9PM. read more

Overall this gym rocks. The black card membership in my opinion is a bit pricey, BUT if you travel and use the massage amenities then definitely worth it. Overall, I wish the gym had a larger variety of equipment like regular bench presses and hammer strength. But i love the massage and infrared angel machine. Why don't the employees here have the basics of interacting with members down. Common courtesy? Please? Thank you ? You're welcome? Why does no one look at you in the eyes when dealing with you? Are they high? Why does it seem that they have plenty of time to converse with fellow employees, but can't take the time to give members good service? Is that just the sign of the times? Shame on management for letting this happen. And, they can't say they aren't aware of what's going on because there's a trail of reviews here. Nobody cares. read more

I loved this planet fitness! It's big and spread out and those are the ones that I enjoy. The ones where you don't feel like you are so crowded that you don't even want to go anymore. This place had very friendly staff and large locker rooms to beat. The stretching area was very large and easy to spread out in. Everything was well spaced out and if I lived closer, I would definitely return! The dumbbells and other resistance machines were all so very well spaced out. The gym itself is really nice. Plenty of machines and great variety. The hydro lounge is heaven. Very clean. My reason for only 3 stars is the staff. When you go up to get something they are so busy on their cell phones they ignore you. When they do notice you ,it's like you are putting them out. They don't greet you (at least not if they don't know you ) and when you leave they say nothing. Most unfriendly staff I have ever seen in a business. I'm not there to make friends but it sure would be nice to be greeted with a hello and smile. Guess I'm old fashioned. read more

I've been a member of planet fitness for at least 3-4 years now. I've been to a number of locations including: Fremont, CA; Hayward, CA; Tucson, AZ. This particular location is the newest in Tucson. They opened their doors less than 1 month ago and the place still smells new immediately entering the bld. The equipment is brand new and heavenly. The cardio equipment looks state of the art. I haven't ventured much with the free weights but I love the 30 min circuit, 360, and stretch zone. They have TVs across the gym and their locker rooms are fresh! I love its near my house, but lalely employees are just following you to the bathroom if you take pictures, mirrors were taken off and they need more leg press machines (real ones) too many cardioo... they have the 30 min workout area and sometimes its empty you go and use one they goo qnd tell you go to the gym floor if u dont follow rules , well need more machines of those in the floor... read more

Overall the gym is clean and it's nice the hours went back to 24hours most of the week. However, a good chunk of the staff is not very friendly. There's a few that don't even say hi when you say hi. This place is a joke! They don't even have a real rowing machine. A rowing machine is a full body workout. Planet fatness rowers only work the upper body. I refer to them as planet fatness because believe it or not, they offer free pizza the first Monday of every month! . What a joke!! Okay it's my first time going to chain gym. I couldn't resist the hydro massage and free tanning. I loved all the machines and there was so many! I highly recommend this gym because of all services and flexibility of the chain. I can go to other planet fitness and even bring a guest. read more

Clean gym, friendly staff, convenient location. I love the different options they have to wind down after a workout in the black card spa. Price is great for what they offer. It is still a fairly new location so there's always people on the free weights haven't got a chance to try them out due to them always being occupied. Read all the way through before you come to this gym please. You have a really rude staff member by the name Andres that constantly makes jokes at members expensive same for that one girl with white clear rimmed glasses that works with him on Saturdays. I don't enjoy coming here due to the staff acting like teenagers and running amuk. Hey management please tell Andres to leave the members alone UPDATE: This Andres continued to be rude to where I finally asked who do you talk to in order to make a complaint about a employee. Guess who it is? It's Andres! Palms up I say hey you've been very rude and disrespectful towards me please leave me alone moving forward. He then grabs a card, then ask me to talk to him on the side. I'm asking this person to leave me alone I didn't ask to interact. Just leave me alone you make me uncomfortable. A response of cool I'll leave you alone would be cool. But nope. Instead of handing me that card and telling me a name. He pulls me to the side then says " I have gotten calls from other managers about those complaints ( I have spoken with Whitney at the marketplace gym on 3 separate occasions over the months for different events this person has done towards me) I know about them". I said "if you know why continue on?" He then asked me what he was doing. "If you've received the complaints then your aware of what the complaints are. Just leave me alone, you've been rude you've gotten in my face before, you clap your hands around my head when you walk by, your just a rude person please leave me alone." He then states I am a nobody. That I don't exist I didn't exist before I got to that gym I don't exist now I don't exist after. Wtf is that? I'm asking to be left alone and this guy is yelling at me. He then put his hand in my face and flicked at me. Who puts there hand in another person's face and flicks at them when they're asking this person to leave them alone? It's all on camera. Right in the black card lobby lounge. 5:47pm isshh today 9/14. I ask to be left alone and get yelled at and a hand thrown at my face and flicked at.. What kind of place is this? It's a self service gym. I emailed what I guess is regional manager Barney. Hopefully someone actually looks into this person's behaviour, how you can yell and put your hand in some ones face when they're asking said to person to leave them alone. read more

Gym is good but the only differences I would make is remove some of the cardio machines and put more free weights

Planet Fitness prides itself on making people feel comfortable working out. Yet they have no issue isolating someone who is absolutely not breaking any rules. Getting kicked out because someone is "uncomfortable" based on not breaking dress code, or grunting, or dropping weights, or based on any other facts is completely ridiculous. It felt a lot more like homophobia for being gay then anything else! Planet fitness employees should learn to handle situations better and with more professionalism. AND assess the situation and see who is in the wrong not always just basing something off of someone saying they're "uncomfortable"... Absolutely unimpressed with staff and situation... read more
