Location is good, it does get fairly busy. A lot of people working out during the morning rush, and after 5 PM. Staff is very friendly very cordial and assist you if you need help. Most of the patrons are also very friendly and also most wipe down the machines after they are used to. They do have Zumba classes Boot Camp classes and other group classes that you could partake in. They have plenty of dumbbells, some benches, and a lot of smith machines to isolate certain muscle groups. I definitely recommend coming here for a work out. They keep it nice and clean, and availability two machines you might need are often open if not the people do their workouts quickly. They also have a steam room and sauna room, which is a great addition for after your work out to help detox. read more

What sets Chuze apart from the rest of the gyms are: cleanliness, affordability, friendly staff that greets you as you walk in and out of the gym. The gym equipment are new. I have been a member of this south side club for over 2 years and for most of the time I have been happy with the staff and the amenities. I notice that about a year ago the club has been getting insane busy. The facility is supper small for the amount of people that goes to work out. you have to make time during lunch hr if you want to work out and not stand in line with other 20 people. and let's not talk about the machines that are getting damage and warned out for months without fixing or replacing. The evening classes are always full and the most frustrating about the classes is people in the inside of classes sitting down on the chairs or on the ground just hanging around. how is that fair for the rest of us that want to be in the class?!. Now let's go to the "BIG Hight Ligh of the club". the sauna and steam room. is completely a dump, the smell is discussing to the point that you not even want to go in there for healthy concerns. I see the employees cleaning the sauna and steam room but come on Chuze! they are not professional cleaning crew. don't be cheap and hire someone to clean it. It gets so much use that at least cleaning has to happen every day!. I have been in all the clubs in Tucson, and this one is a shame to our south side community. The one thing I would hate to knock a star off of this place is that it is simply overcrowded. They need to open another location to balance out the terrible lack of space between 5-7PM. People are latterly bumping into one another. Other than that the staff is great the equipment is clean the staff go around to re-rack. Too damn cold! Why do you guys have the fans on during winter? It makes it impossible to breathe or keep going when I get a massive headache from breathing in the cold air. I do intense cardio workouts and I'm forced to stop after a few minutes because the headache is so intense and lasts for a while. I love going to chuze because everyone is so nice and friendly but I can't get my workouts done because of this. I know a lot of the people there don't really work out as intensely but there really is no need for the fans and a/c to be on in December. Going to be switching to desert sports since they seem more suited to my workouts. I hate to part ways especially since I love the steam room but I can't handle how cold you guys keep it in there anymore. One star because no matter how hard I tried I could not get my workouts done in those conditions. read more

This is my second review on this location, and in my first review, i gave it 4 stars. Now, if i could give it zero, i would. Which is very annoying because i love all the other Chuze locations. But this one has gone down the drain. Many things r broken, such as sinks in the bathrooms, the hand blow dryers, the step machines, and the saunas have been shut down for over a month now, along with the steam rooms. The bathrooms are always gross now, so theres only 4 one-handed attachments for the cable machines for the whole gym!! That gets very busy. This makes no sense. They dont add more they used to have like 8 of them out. I have talked to them about it, and no one seems to care. The only reason this even gets 1 star is because the staff is nice and friendly, but that does not make up for how run down the facility is now. Even their wifi is not working half the time. It sucks too cuz i have to use this gym because i its next to my work, and it's the closest. On my days off, though, i definitely stay clear of that chize and drive to a different one. Im not even sure how they are able to charge the premium price when half their premium things are broken, such as the sauna and steam room and their wifi half the time. It's a shame. The only reason im leaving this review is in hopes management sees this and makes a change because i dont like talking bad about places, but this has just gotten very frustrating for the last 8 months now read more

This location is the biggest and newest Chuze in Tucson. It's conveniently located in a private lot just a few miles off of I-10. The first floor has a turf area, group exercise room, locker rooms, free weights and heavy machines, as well as large cardio section. The second floor has lighter cable-based machines and more cardio equipment. Lots of large, new TVs in all areas. You can buy apparel and exercise drinks and snacks at the front desk as with other locations. My only complaint is that the bathrooms have always been dirty when I visit. We have been members and personal training clients since this location opened in 2016. Our current trainer, Jason House, is amazing...we love him! However, this is not the same gym we joined 6 years ago. The staff keeps the facility clean but they are always together at the front desk instead of walking around helping members who obviously need instructions for using the equipment safely. When we mentioned this to the assistant manager, Javi, he responded that they spend about 3 hours of their shift cleaning so they need to get to know each other. That's what breaks and team meetings are for! On another occasion, two ladies were having problems at the sign-in PCs so I asked Javi to do my guest sign-in from his PC. He said he could not, nor did he offer the struggling ladies any assistance. Management training is obviously needed here.... Now, Jason has notified us that personal training will not be offered at this location after we use up our pre-paid sessions. If we want to continue personal training, we will have to drive an additional 12 miles each way. This is ridiculous -- our personal training sessions are immediately prior to his Silver Sneakers classes, so he's already at the Ajo gym. Mike Moreno is in charge of training, so it is his responsibility to communicate training program changes. However, he passed this off to Jason. Again, very unprofessional. The whole tone is shifting towards young "hip" members and self-service...the music is endless rap/hip-hop, there is no elevator to the upstairs equipment, only two consistently over-booked Silver Sneakers classes per week, two bar stools and two low soft lobby chairs for seating, no equipment alternatives for members with injuries or physical limitations, and nothing offered to replace personal training. This is so short-sighted... at least half the members we see are "mature" regulars...these are the members that have the means and desire to maintain their memberships, attend regularly and are more willing to pay for personal or small-group training. Things were going so great on my Premium membership until about two weeks in. Got my things stolen on the workout floor after a long exercise and left just wanting to cry. Front desk guy wasn't too much help and hope to god they can at least look at the cameras. This wouldn't be a problem if you weren't expected to bring your own padlock to secure your things inside or if they just had them on the lockers to begin with. I'm so disappointed and probably won't feel safe for a good while at this location again if it's clientele have thieves among them. This gym has piss poor management,. First it's super small and the young managers aren't enforcing the rules, they allow people to be taking video of themselves working out. They allow 6 or more people in the same group on workout stations making it impossible to get a workout. They don't enforce the cell phone rule. I go there because there's nowhere else nearby but I am getting tired of these non compliance situations. read more

Update* I've been now going to this Chuze for a little over two years and I still have nothing but positive things to say about it. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I can't count the number of times I've needed help with a locker and they've come to my rescue every time. If there's a glitch with app points or rewards, a simple email fixes it right away. The billing is clear, easy and no hidden fees. When a machine is broken or not working properly, it's quickly fixed. I love that they frequently add and/or upgrade equipment too. I recently moved to the East side and will admit ... I still find myself driving all the way across town to go to this specific location. It's just the friendliest and cleanest one. read more

I signed for a one year membership. Chuze continued billing my credit card for seven months after the year went by. I called and i was told "you did sign up for a year but that means that if you cancel before the year is over, there is a fifty dollar charge. So I just learned they don't have a scale at this gym. That is extremely disappointing & laughable. The scale they do have you have to pay $10 (or your points) to use because it "breaks down..." blah blah blah, I didn't care to hear what she had to say. There's apparently a free day you can use it but I didn't care to hear about that either. I pay for the most expensive membership because I'd like my husband to join me whenever but he can't use the amenities like massage, tanning bed, sauna/steam rooms. My husband says he likes this gym. Absolutely do not go to this Chuze location if you are looking to get a good, worthwhile workout in. The gym is so small and so overcrowded you are practically touching shoulders with others working out. Unless you are looking at spending 3hrs in the gym to finish your full workout bc you have to wait for equipment and machines to open up, I definitely don't recommend. For being a chain gym, Chuze needs to have a better set up. The Oracle location is much larger and spread out with nearly double the amounts of machines and I can actually workout peacefully and feel good in accomplishing the entire thing without having to wait an unreasonable time. I know LA fitness near this location closed a couple years ago so I understand there is overflow from that. But if there are more people attending now, then the company needs to figure out expansion accommodations. Never had a problem with staff or other people, just the size alone is enough for me to cancel my membership. read more

Kierra up at the front desk was the only cashier at 10:00 am today. I was the only waiter hoping she would assist me with the lean shake I was going to purchase. Instead she saw me, didn't greet or say anything. She insisted to be on the phone, turn around then turn to her side. While I waited in line for 5 minuets. Another woman comes to purchase the massage table, she had then hung up the phone and assisted her and told me 3:50. Nothing like sorry for the wait and sorry I assisted the other woman before you. This location is my favorite and the biggest in Tucson. The gym is always clean and organized. It is my favorite gym by far. I've heard horror stories about LA Fitness and Planet Fitness and it makes me happy I come to this gym. I have been signed up with Chuze for a couple of months now and everything is fine with the gym, it is just the people there that made me give a 2 star review. First of all, the amount of creepy men there is crazy. I feel uncomfortable almost every time I go there because I get stared down the whole time I am there. The employees say that they will mark the incident down but nothing happens to the person and they still get to work out there. There are so many rude customers there as well and many people are still refusing to wear masks and some employees do nothing about it. One male employee specifically who I think is a manager/ supervisor does especially nothing about any concerns brought up to him. He just stands up at the front pretending to care, but ultimately does nothing. I get upset every time I go and he is working. I have talked to multiple people that go there and they all complain about this employee specifically. Do better Chuze! Please get better employees that actually help customers. read more

Started in February from another gym. The staff is very friendly. I take Zumba 4-5 times a week, the instructors are great. Fran, Guille, Temo are all friendly, made me feel very welcomed in the class. Very clean facility. Parking can be hard to find after 5pm. And the gym gets a little crowed from 5-7pm M-Thursday, but you always can find a spot to work out. read more

I usually stopped by after work and it was a bit crowded, but what gym isn't between the hours of 6pm-8pm. This facility has a decent selection of workout equipment. I've been going here about a year and it is a nice, clean gym. I also cannot beat the price I paid for my membership. I am allergic to everything in Tucson so going to the gym is about my only option for fitness goals. Even when there is a lot of people, it doesn't feel packed and for the most part everyone keeps to themselves. I've encountered a few gym snobs here, but not many. People from all walks of life come here to get their fitness on, and it's a decent sized gym. It's a two story gym, and has one movie theater room. I love going in and watching movies while I do cardio machines, but it does get a little stuffy in there because there's not much air flow. They also offer classes during the evening mostly, and a weight area. Unfortunately, the weight lifting area is full of guys who love lifting and take up most, if not all of the area so most people resort to using weight machines located elsewhere or grabbing the weights and going to another part of the gym. A circuit training area is offered, if you're into that sort of thing too. Lastly, they offer tanning beds, hydromassage, a sauna, and a locker room complete with showers and hair dryers. read more
