Train staff correctly on how to speak to customers and what their duties entail and proper procedures if someone idk doesn't come in for a shift how about close the black card section because u can't clean it in fear of leaving the front door unattended don't b a complete bitch about it repeating over and over ur alone it's ur job critical thinking might b involved I personally would have fired her if I heard her speak to a client like that or seen the state of the black card amenities. I owned and operated a tanning salon, all touch surfaces must b cleaned after each tanner finishes their tan no matter what style bed it is I shouldn't b in the bed and see prints from prior tanners body parts on the plexiglass. Planet Fitness in Welland, Ontario is by far THE BEST gym experience I've had over the years. Drake (the manager) is absolutely perfect & has built such a great staff. Everyone is always so ready to give a helping-hand with their vast knowledge of the facility. Very accommodating too. I'm part of "The Morning Crew" as I do refer to it (prior to 7am arrival), & even the clients are definitely just as fun as they. I started out about 2 weeks back now in my journey to a rehabilitation process (bed-ridden with overlapping medical conditions since August 2023), & I don't feel silly or unwelcome whatsoever. Just had the most bizarre, customer service experience... On Monday 22 Nov, I thought I joined the new PLANET FITNESS in Welland but when I attended that day, their debit/credit machines were down. The manager, at this time, was accommodating and let me work out - though he did make it seem like it was my issue, bank card or personal error (ie forgotten password) which was entirely possible....No harm no foul. On Thursday Nov 24, I returned to PLANET FITNESS, Welland went straight to the front desk, with a new and completely separate bankcard and attempted to pay the $15.06 I owed. AGAIN, their debit machines did not work even though I was assured they were working previously. I asked them to put a note on my file saying that on 2 separate occasions I attempted to pay with debit but again their systems were down. As a COURTESY, I said the next time, i would just bring cash since they were having so many problems with their system. On Monday 29 Nov, I returned to PLANET FITNESS, Welland again, went to the front desk to pay. I did forget the cash but that was neither here nor there as, as a customer, I have the option to pay however I choose but again their debit system was not working. Furthermore, the guy at the desk said the system was not yet even set up for debit!?!?! Well then why did they run it through several times on two separate days.... Regardless, the nice guy at the desk gave me a tour and I was permitted entry. During the tour, we were approached by the the General Manager who stated, he could not permit me to work out there any longer for free. Implying, and later confirmed, as though I were not intending to to pay at all, even after obtaining all of my bank info, vaccination status and completing all of their steps and attempting to pay (with debit) each time I came. Never have I ever been treated like that. The implication that I was being deceitful was completely unjustified and insulting considering all of my efforts. The General Manager then proceeded to say that I was warned, each time by 3 different staff, that they didnt take debit. What?? then why would they even try on 3 separate occasions!?!? I understand a new business has its kinks but you think they would be more accommodating considering it was their issue!! Needless to say, I did not work out and further cancelled my membership! The manager was more than happy to see me go and even stated that he was an adult (all of 24) and the General Manager and would not be treated this way. Again, what!??!? I was the one that was being treated like a criminal... Shocked and astounded at the lack of professionalism and tact on the part of an alleged General Manager and surprising that they were happy to see me go despite the fact the place was empty!!!
