Corey has the worst customer service here at planet fitness There was a lady In front of me to go to the chair and he didn't even ask her for her member card he just told her go straight to it but when it was my turn I checked in on the screen and then he said the beds are only for black members and I told him when I got my black member they didn't tell me that they just said I can bring a guest and this is the first time someone tells me about it after 10 years then I asked for the policy and he said I don't have to show you anything I'm telling you the rules I told him I don't like the way your talking to me I'm calling corporate he was being sarcastic saying oh I'm so scared of corporate I did my research an the policy is bc guest can only use the hydro message if the gym is quite which it was 3 beds empty they way he was talking to me was no way to talk to customers read more

This gym needs to do better. Love the girls locker room layout. Very spacious. It's super hot all the time in the actual gym area. Seems like the ac is always out or not sure why they don't turn on the AC. I would rather cancel my membership and spend extra money on another gym. Also be careful where you park !!! It's super dark in the parking lot area. Didn't realize car was parked in the red. I got my car towed and the other car right next to me didn't get towed and she was fully in the red zone. This is for the night owl times (11pm - 2am). Staff is great and welcoming. The gym is always clean... PF staff is usually cleaning the machines/reracking equipment + overnight cleaning crew is there at this time. Machines are good, wish they had a rack for barbell workouts. Only complaint is that it's usually freezing in there. A.c is blasting plus two huge fans going. It's hard to break a sweat. Oh and the parking lot is super dark! Facility is clean, and pretty spacious. Wish I could say something positive about the employees that worked the midnight shift on 4/09. Girl at front desk very unwelcoming and had an unwillingness to help. I am a member at the Wilkes-Barre PA Planet Fitness and have complained several times for a year or more about the programing that is on the tv's. I do not feel that watching people using drugs or running around nude is a very appropriate. I have been told that corporate controls what is viewed. It is funny that I have been to other planet fitness centers in PA and other states and have never seen inappropriate programing. As a woman and a mother, they need to make sure that what is on the tv stations is appropriate! I am deeply disappointed with the manager as I view that this is her responsibility to make sure that it is a safe environment for all members. Hopefully something can be done soon! read more

Update from 4 years ago... Now that I've gone to more PF locations, I can say that the size is standard for a PF. I visited today (Wednesday at 6am) and had a wonderful experience. Parking was easy and the gym was practically empty until about 8:00 am. The gym was clean and all of the equipment was in good working order. Very rude staff that works at 3 AM. I have tried to be nice and say hi but each time they just give me a dirty look, as if I am bothering them. The manager, the girl with red hair , and the girl with a nose piercing. Also, a recent incident has caused me to stay away from this gym. This incident took place in the men's locker room at the Planet Fitness Santa Fe Springs facility on Friday at approximately 3:00 AM. I was in the shower stall and was completely exposed, having forgotten my towel. While in this vulnerable position, a female staff member yelled that she was entering to clean. I immediately announced my situation, stating I had no towel, and explicitly asked her to leave and return in a couple of minutes to allow me time to cover up and dress. The staff member completely disregarded this direct request for privacy and continued cleaning in the locker room area, forcing me to evade her while attempting to get clothes on. After getting dressed, I approached the staff member to inquire about the facility's policy regarding opposite-sex staff entering occupied locker rooms. She confirmed that it was their policy, even attempting to justify it with a rude and unclear explanation, confirming the same rules would apply to male staff entering the women's locker room. This policy, particularly the staff member's refusal to grant a two-minute delay despite being alerted to a member's full exposure, constitutes a serious invasion of privacy. Both she and her colleague exhibited unprofessional and rude behavior throughout the interaction, exacerbating the distress caused by the privacy violation. read more

Manager and employees are always chit Chatting and on phone .. restrooms are super dirty , there is never brown towels to wipe down equipment. The manager is always focused on enforcing parking instead of worrying about managing her employees and cleanliness through out facility read more

This has to be the stuffiest, hottest planet fitness I been to. Massage area and restrooms are cold just like all the other PF however main gym area is way too hot. Here it's unbearable to work out in the back room at times as it's hotter there. Time to switch home gyms! read more

Great size of gym and great equipment but it always seems to be full of dust everywhere. I went three days in a row and saw the same dust and some trash by a can. Not sure how there could be so many employees just hanging up front and a filthy and dusty gym. Every hand sanitizer I went to also had dust. read more

I used to enjoy coming here, however this place is going down hill. The parking lot is essentially a homeless encampment. I have witnessed two vehicle break ins in the last 30 days. Girls that workout here feel unsafe. Staff should consider working with the property owner to get "customer only" parking signs AND hire security. Will most likely end up canceling my pass to go to EOS or 24 Hour Fitness. read more

The receptionist at the front was helpful with figuring out how to sign in without a keytag. They couldn't find me in the system because I recently cancelled. I got an error while trying to put in my info. I had to write my name and home location (BP) on a sheet because I couldn't log in to the app. Then, he showed me the other locations that are connected to each other. From my memory, it is the Whittier, Downey, Cerritos, and Lynnwood locations that are nearby. I should have taken a picture of the whole list, but yeah. The people who run this gym are amazing. I'm pretty regular here, they remember who I am and I'm always greeted with a smile. The gym is insanely clean, the staff doesn't just stand around, they're always cleaning or taking care of customers. The equipment is standard, if you go at a peak time you'll most likely have to wait for a machine. That's way out of their control though. This gym is my home gym despite living in Westminster because of the people who work here. There's closer gyms to my work and to my home, but no one can even compete with these employees. The workers here are friendly. Although the place isn't the cleanest, and the paper towels aren't always supplied for the cleaning stations, this isn't about that. It's the way they run their business. When trying to cancel my membership, they make it very hard so that they can keep getting money from you. I moved and tried calling to cancel my membership, but they said you have to go into the specific location that you signed up at in order to cancel. And I understand the people that work there have no say in this, so it is not their fault whatsoever. But the people at the top who are running this business are very slimy and sneaky. Just will say, i'm in the Whittier area so I use this gym and the Whittier one. They are pretty clean compared to most gyms, and open 24 hours, but if you're looking to lose weight and tone up I don't think this is the gym for you. It is always cold in here, they have the fans fully blasting and I've been A member of different gyms and this one has a good price and the amenities seemed awesome but I've been coming here for about two months and their total body enhancement machine is always freaking broken or something if you're in this area I just will say don't bother I'm planning to cancel. Unless a trainer or someone that is sponsored here or some thing there is no way a serious trainer comes here and breaks a sweat waaaay too cold. read more

I signed up for PF in SFS when they first opened. I've always had issues with members- Not returning weights back to appropriate areas on rack, not cleaning machines after use and being on cellphones for several mins while people wait to use equipment. I always, always clean up weight sections, placing weights in appropriate rack, wipping before and after use and organize/returning equipment for cables after i use them or when i see the rack is messy. But today was the last straw......... I was told i could not wear a weighted vest in the gym. The general manager, Kimberly, sent a fairly new employee to tell me i couldnt wear my vest. Confused i asked one of the trainers, who also looked at me stumped. I went to go talk to the manager about this concern. She stated its a "new policy." I told her to explain why and she couldn't. She had terrible customer service and i dont deal with ghetto people so i walked away. I've followed all the rules but this is BS. I dont grunt, drop my weights and have great gym etiquette. Never again, i cancelled my membership on the spot and will let all my fitness family and friends know they were right about PF. read more

I left the gym very premature today just because of some of the members horrible gym etiquette.But really what do you expect when the membership is 10 dollars.Your not really gonna attract to many people that are considerate.This happen To me twice today.You would truly hope for some consideration from people at every station at every treadmill,at every elliptical machine. Worst place to get a work out in. The staff is chill. Though the fact that it says in the app it's not that busy or not busy at all. When upon arrival the place is stacked to the brim with people. Every machine and free weight used. It's literally not worth the time to go and discourages me to go work out. Other thing that I think is the worst thing they have done in recent time is open up free gym passes to highschoolers. The whole cross country team will show up mid day to use all the machines and none of the paying customers are able to use any of them. I go to the gym in the hours of 11 at night I like the fact that this gym is 24 hours also staff at that time are decent , I left behind lifting belt and Joesph was super helpful and kind to put it away for me I got it back .
